Incredible views of the sunset and the waves crashing. Right next door to the Mendocino Botanical Gardens! The kitchen was fabulous!!!

It was exactly the PEACE that my soul needed

We stayed a week at this wonderful location. My wife didn't want to leave (neither did I)! We can't wait to book again!

My husband & I spent a decadent 10 days which included New Years. It stormed and rained the majority of the time. This house overlooks the ocean. It was hypnotizing watching the ocean waves during the storms and rain. We did lose power a few times but briefly. The gas fireplace kept us warm and toasty. The kitchen table worked out perfect for my jigsaw puzzle.

What a gorgeous home and site on the coast. We loved the views, the sounds, the comfy furniture. We were treated to sunsets, lightning, rain and sun rays and could choose our perfect perches inside or out. The kitchen was fully equipped which made cooking fun, but if I had one suggestion it would be for more lighting in the kitchen. Old eyes like mine had to grab the flashlight a couple of times to figure out the stove controls or other things. But everything was there! A great house.

Location of this home is hard to beat. access down to the tide pools is the key; however, consider the stairs does not go all the way down so some down climbing is needed. The spotting scope was a great! we were able to spot some whales miles off shore. The house was clean when we arrived. The kitchen is well stocked and we were able to made great meals. The bed was comfortable consider we normally sleep on relative stiff setup at home. we did bring our own pillows. The front garden is very nice. The only complaints were the back screen door as mentioned in other reviews. please, fix this so no bugs flies in while we allow the nice sea breeze through the house. there is no other back window can be open other than in the bedroom. The shower is small and tight with a big shower head. Maybe a removable handheld showerhead? Also, if you have any issue, it's best to contact the local manager via the text message. the Vacasa 800 number operator is not the best for help. use the text number they provide you.

We Loved the privacy, the Hot tub , the view. The kitchen!!

Home was very clean. Kitchen was very well stocked with pots/pans/plates/glasses/utensils. Fantastic views! Hot tub was excellent! Front yard garden was beautiful! Previous reviews are correct, the mattress is on the soft side, however I don't think it's old, I think it's just a soft mattress. Bring your own pillows. Shower is small, shower head is too big for the small shower and therefore sprays against the opposite wall and not down on your head. It's a hand held shower head and you have to hold it to shower.

This home is perfectly situated at the end of a private road, right on the cliff’s edge. There are wonderful views out of the wall to wall back windows. The kitchen is very nice and (refreshingly) well stocked with quality dishes and cooking utensils, etc. The main living area is very comfortable and perfect for relaxing. The only thing that keeps us from giving the home 5 stars is that the bed and bedding (pillows!) are in need of replacement.

Loved the awesome view !! Everything was awesome!! Will come back again... only thing was the mattress should be replaced. Slider was worrisome but that’s ok because we had an wonderful time and will be back in the future.. thanks

This home is an absolute treasure. This home is the ideal rental for anyone looking for a relaxing, low key getaway to the Fort Bragg/Mendocino area. The directions for finding the property could be a little better (Google maps was relaible until we got to the street of the property) but that is our only gripe - just head down the street until you can drive no further and you're there. The kitchen was well appointed, the home was warm and the jacuzzi overlooking the ocean is exactly as perfect as the pictures show. We would love to come back and stay at this gorgeous property!

I loved my visit. The house and surroundings were wonderful. The house is super comfortable and the landscaping and views are incredible. I highly recommend this home and look forward to visiting again.

We were here during the gray whale southern migration. Saw whales every day, including, breaching and flukes. The kitchen is particularly well equipped which was great during a time when indoor restaurant dining wasn't a great idea. Nice access to the private tidepools for those willing to brave the steps down. We'd be happy to stay again in the future.

Beautiful location, very cozy. Low lighting, wish there was a little more lighting inside. Otherwise, beautiful property and perfect stay!

The house and garden were absolutely lovely and the ocean view was superb. The kitchen was well stocked and the houses large windows offered stunning ocean views. I would recommend some towel hooks outside by the hot tub and a firmer mattress in the bedroom.

Property was perfect! Definitely could update decor and some utensils.

Tideaway is situated down a private road and perched on the ocean's edge with a spectacular 180-degree view that you won't want to leave. The house is beautifully designed with huge paired exposed beams and clerestory windows that illuminate the kitchen and great room wonderfully. There is a deck that invites you to see and relax which will result in you not wanting to leave your patio chair. We saw whales blowing offshore around sunset time. The kitchen is well-stocked with everything that you need to prepare a meal like at home. I will end by giving it my highest compliment which is: I look forward to returning in the future.

This home was the (almost) perfect getaway! Such a stunning view and cozy place, so conveniently located to everything fun. The only downsides were that the hot tub was dirty and the kitchen was infested with fruit flies when I got there. I set up a few fruit fly traps that helped but they persisted the whole stay and made it a pain to cook or have food in the house, and I didn't want to get into a hot tub that had a bunch of stuff floating around. Other than that, would have been 5 stars!!

We loved our stay at the Tideaway, waking up every morning to the waves and ocean right outside the widows was amazing. At night we used the hot tub and when it was clear we star gazed. The property itself is beautiful and has steps that lead down to the tide pools. We had a great time and will definitely be back.

Location, view, is fantastic, truly seaside.
However, to make it a 5 star rating, more attention should be paid to the upkeep of the house, ie; we've stayed 3 times in past 3 yrs and the screen door for the slider leading from kitchen to outside deck is still broken/inoperable (when will it be repaired/replaced????). The only thing that's been replaced is the little post-it on the door saying it is broken. The BBQ would not light, no matches or butne lighter in the house. I had to drive to store toget a lighter and also bought and repplaced the battery for the piezo lighter in the BBQ. Had to buy and replace 2 burnt out light bulbs, one for the VERY sparsely lit bedroom.

This place is very charming and has spectacular views! It was the perfect place to refresh ones’ soul and celebrate a birthday. We hope to return...

We absolutely loved this house and hope to return sometime. Perfect romantic getaway for a couple. The view is amazing. Big, well stocked kitchen. Clean and comfortable. Great for those looking for privacy. We watched the sunset from the hot tub each night. I recommend using the provided hose to spray down the windows each morning to remove sea spray and improve the view from inside. Thanks for an excellent weekend escape!

What did we love most? The view, the view, the view! The home is well appointed with a beautiful kitchen they has everything you need. The garden out front is so sweet and colorful. A beauty of a place they lends itself to serenity and stress-elimination!

Great for a weekend getaway. Private and beautiful, even when the weather was rough, it was warm and cozy. Have already passed it on to several friends.
