We enjoyed the house, although it was more just a base…we had activities every day with our children and grandchildren but did manage to walk the neighborhood a bit and enjoy a couple of restaurants nearby!

Rowena was great to work with. Easy to reach and answer any questions we had. You could tell she's put a lot of thought into what people may need to have a great stay. We will stay again when we're in San Diego.

Rowena's place was wonderful and I would stay there again. Rowena was very responsive to questions and small problems that came up. A microwave malfunctioned and she brought a replacement in almost immediately. She also made sure 4 bikes were in working order when I inquired. We really enjoyed being able to bike around the area. My son was also able to find a wetsuit and surfboard to fit him! We found everything we needed. We loved using the yard and especially the fire pit. The website does need to be updated with some new information, but that is not a big deal. There was no longer a usable outside shower and no jetpack deal any more (which my son had been excited about doing). The pandemic has changed some things. The pictures probably need to be updated as there are changes to furnishings, but that is a minor issue. The place was clean and lovely and we really had a great time. Our family stayed at Rowena’s property this past weekend, and all I can say is, wow! Perfect location close to the beach and everything you’d want to do in PB. The check-in process was easy, the house was sparkling clean and welcoming, the outdoor space was lovely, all in all we could not have asked for more. Rowena was incredibly lovely to work with. Her home is immaculate and exactly as described. The area is quiet and we felt safe the entire time. We will absolutely return!

Property was fabulous. One of the showers flooded the first night. The toilet bubbled and backed up into the shower. It smelled and we couldn't use that bathroom. VERY FRUSTRATING.

My wife and I live local and my parents and brother stayed here. Couldn't have had a better set up and host!

The property was everything as advertised. It was clean, comfortable, on a quiet street and a great location easily accessible to all attractions. The house also was furnished and equipped with everything we could possibly want. We would stay here again if we come back to San Diego.

The property was super clean. The location was centrally located to many attractions. The walk to the beach was easy. The layout of the home is fantastic. The kitchen was stocked as advertised (I have stayed at VR that advertise full kitchen and was not able to cook) This kitchen had everything you could possibly need : ) Thank you. It was super easy to ask questions of Rowena & she was super helpful about all the many items she has at the cottage for guests use as well as neighborhood tips & parking directions...and more! Couches comfy to rest after sightseeing & beds comfy with nice bedding for a good nights sleep. If you wanted to cook, the kitchen had everything you need. North Pacific Beach is centrally located and only 15 min away from the city, pier, La Jolla & our other destinations, plus the best place to watch surfers. The only problem was the lack of sunshine which was out of her control! Lol If we are back in San Diego again we’ll definitely try to book it again!

We had an amazing stay on Pacific Beach in San Diego!!! The home we chose was truly close to all the activities we had on our itinerary and it was in a very quiet area where we could get good sleep at night!!! The home was clean and decorated so nicely!! All items needed were provided, and there was even a yummy coffee cake waiting for us upon our arrival!!

My husband and I traveled to San Diego for the first time with 2 of our adult children. The house was spacious enough for the four of us. Rowena was an awesome host. She responded to me in a timely manner and even allowed a late check out. The house was in a perfect location. It was close to major attractions and was exactly as the pictures portrayed. It was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked. The front courtyard was a great place to relax in the morning. The beds in both bedrooms were super comfortable and even the towels were fluffy, not your typical rental linens. The washer and dryer were an added bonus. The garage had everything you needed for spending time at the beach which is within walking distance, but we decided to drive instead. There is also a fire pit in the backyard that was nice to use on some of the chilly nights. I would highly recommend staying at this gem of a property. Thank you Rowena for being such a great host and allowing us to share your home.

We stayed the week and loved it. It was cute, comfy and had everything we needed. Nice community and close to the beach.

This home has everything you could ever need and some things you didn't know you needed! Rowena was fantastic to work with and more than willing to give suggestions or advice regarding all kinds of things in the area. The house is well maintained and was perfect for our family. Visiting the zoo, Sea World, Petco Park or the beach were easy. A short drive into the city or a few block walk to the beach. The extra thought and care Rowena puts in to sharing her home is unparalleled in any VRBO I've ever stayed in (which has been many over the last 14 years).

We had a great stay at this little beach house-perfect for our family of 4. Just as described and in a great neighborhood. Easy walk to the beach. Rowena called and texted before and during stay to assure all our needs were met.

Wonderful place! Clean and comfortable. In a nice neighborhood. Close to everything. Had everything we could need for our very enjoyable 10 day vacation.

Where do I even begin...probably with the word WOW! My husband and I got married on a Saturday and arrived at Rowena's house the following Tuesday for some serious R and R. And what a perfect place to relax and unwind after the stresses (and also fun! but tiring fun) of planning a wedding. That house had literally EVERY thing I could have asked for. From board games, to coffee table books about surfing and beaches, to two lovely bathrooms (and two showers~ It was was amazing not to have to take turns showering after spending a whole day in the cold pacific ocean), to the most comfy beds, to lovely patios for reading, cozy couches for reading (we did a lot of reading) to a kitchen incredibly well stocked with everything we needed to prepare most of our own meals, to a garage full of bikes and boogie (and surf!) boards...We made use of so much in that garage (beach chairs! Umbrella! Boogie and surf boards!) and felt so grateful to not have to hunt down rentals. It truly was as if we lived in San Diego for those 6 nights. Rowena's lovely home had every thing we could have asked for and more. It was on a quiet street in a nice neighborhood, and an easy walking distance to a Thai restaurant, 7-11, cute stores, a coffee shop, and more. And easy driving distance to many amazing beaches, including the world famous La Jolla Cove. Do I recommend Rowena's house? Absolutely, and more! You will not be disappointed.

My husband and I were in California for 6 days and our stay in this house was wonderful. The owners had manuals and a map explaining where everything was for the home and where hospitals, restaurants, and points of interest were. We had no problem cooking for a party at our son’s apartment because the kitchen was well stocked with everything that we needed. It makes a difference when the owners of a house treat it like their own home and not just a business. We would definitely book this house again for any stay in San Diego. Rowena was an amazing host - very accommodating and reachable. The house was just the right size for our family. It was secure, safe and kid friendly. The beach accessories and supplies were helpful as we forgot a few things at home. Having two small children we felt comfortable in the house knowing our kids wouldn’t destroy the floor with their messes and of course sand. The location is great too - walking distance to the beach and restaurants. Just watch out - there are some bad drivers!!! At any rate, we loved our stay and are grateful we called this house our home for 8 days.

We had a wonderful time at this home. It is well stocked and comfortable. Yvette was very attentive and quickly answered any questions we had. The beach accessories were a bonus as we flew into town and did not have access to these items. Would definitely stay here again!

Owner is very nice and offered suggestions on public transportation from PB area to Zoo. A bit of a walk to beach but it was worth it as owner had a wagon to haul beach chairs, towels, boogie boards to beach. House was very comfortable for our party of 5. Grocery stores within walking distance. Felt like I knew owner a long time prior to stay. House had everything for beach, cooking & being comfortable. Although we didn’t use the bikes, it was nice to know she had them just in case. We hope to come back again, some day soon. Thank you.
