This is a lovely peaceful villa in a quiet area of Albion. The friendly and helpful hosts have made sure there is nothing you could want for. We needed to come away and relax and we did just that. Yet Albion is well placed for exploring the rest of the island and seeing the beautiful beaches, go dolphin watching, drive a buggy through a nature reserve or visit the giant tortoises. Our maid even brought us some Diwali treats!
Thank you Fara and Françoise for your kind welcome.

Wonderful stay in a wonderful house!!
We enjoyed every minute of staying in this property. The garden was a dream and the kids had the best time in the pool every day. Francoise was so very helpful and made life so easy for us even with our very inconvenient arrival and departure times! Big thank you to Fara also. We would love to visit again!

We (family with 2 teenagers) stayed over Christmas and New Year's Eve in the beautiful Villa Belifage Verte in Albion (Maritius).
Albion is a very good starting point in the middle west of the island, from which the island can be explored very well by rental car. Not far from the villa there are also two supermarkets where the locals of Alboin do their shopping and where we also found everything we needed.
The villa is located in a quiet and safe residential area of Albion and offers everything the advertisement promises, including a nice swimming pool. It was very clean in the villa, very homey and tastefully decorated. Especially the flair of the villa with the veranda we liked very much! No negative points that we can report!
Already at the beginning of our travel planning, the contact with Francoise ( owner / landlord) was really nice, fast and reliable. Francoise was always available with suggestions, whether it was about the transfer from the airport to the villa or the question of a recommendation for dinner on New Year's Eve.
Our time in Villa Belifage Verda was wonderful all around and we like to remember our time there.
Many thanks to Francoise, Fara and Sherline!

On y reviendra.

Lovely vacation
We spent a marvelous 2 weeks on our favorite island, Mauritius.
Albion is perfectly located for excursions, and has a large and beautiful beach that invites to swimming and snorkeling.
The villa is within a vivid and pleasant neighborhood. Though it isn’t new, it has great character and possesses everything it takes to make the stay comfortable. We loved to use the bikes provided to get our daily pain and croissants for breakfast!
Most remarkable was Françoise‘ exceptional hospitality, we felt every bit like friends coming for a visit! And Charonne, the house keeper, was absolutely lovely and helpful, and also a great cook.
We’re looking forward to seeing this wonderful place again!!

Schönes Haus in ruhiger Wohngegend

Amazing place in cozy Albion, Mauritius!
What a lovely place Villa Belifage Verte is! We loved every minute of our stay and can highly recommend it.
First of all, the propriataire Françoise is a real gem - she is a very nice and lovely person and responded in a very timely manner to all our requests. By coincidence, we could meet her personally and it was a real warm meeting and she provided a lot of tips for our stay. There is also a team of housekeepers on spot are just lovely and show up every other day (or as you'd like) to clean the house, pool, garden and even offer to cook dinner if you want - we took them up on their offer two times and it was absolutely delicious (real local creole cuisine)!
The Villa Belifage Verte itself is a wonderful place in the small, but cozy village Albion at the west coast of Mauritius and fulfilled all our desires: it's a big villa with an amazing pool, lovely garden (with beautiful flowers and coconut palm trees), a huge patio for breakfast, lunch and dinner, great and big bed rooms (3), two bath rooms and a fully equipped kitchen with a big fridge. For us, everything was there. Also, we had a rental car (highly recommended for this place but also to be able to discover the island, even though the bus system is working well), and you can park it easily inside the huge garden in the shadows of palm trees (automatic garage doors, which is very convenient).
If you are looking for a nice place to stay in Mauritius a bit away from all the touristy places, we can highly recommend Ville Belifage 'Verte'! You can't ask for a better host than Françoise nor a better team on spot - thank you for everything! Five stars++!

;-) on était vraiment impressionnés!
C’etait parfait.

Relaxing Residential Villa with Wonderful Pool and Host
I stayed here for 1 week with my wife and 2 kids (ages 15 & 12) in August 2017. Great pool which the kids loved, and benefits from a solar mat which raises the water temperature a few degrees... necessary in August. Plenty of sun loungers and a mature garden makes relaxing around the pool a pleasure. We also loved the verenda/porch area for lazy lunches and an evening beer.
The owner's sister checked us in and showed us around the house. Very welcoming and appreciated after a long flight from the UK. Don't expect the Ritz inside... this is a home with charm and character. Don't get me wrong, there are mod-cons like a dishwasher, AC units in rooms, large flat screen TV, washing machine, comfortable beds (not always the case in rentals), wifi, etc!
The area is very residential and quiet which suited us perfectly for our 1st week on the island. Couple of small grocery stores nearby, a few good restaurants, and some food stalls.
The beach in walking distance from the house isn't very good (rocky and we found it quite dirty) but don't despair!! Go to the one near Club Med, it's on Albion beach but a nicer part (and only a few mins by car).
We did a few trips since we had a car and Albion is a great location for access to many places. We even made it over to Ile Aux Cerfs on the east which was around 1hr 15mins hours each way, and Le Morne at the SW of the island, around 1 hour. The Botanical Gardens are around 40 mins depending on how you navigate through Port Louis! There is a large supermarket (Monoprix) along with some other modern shops on the A3 road between Bambous and Casela Nature Park (around 20 mins away). We combined that with a couple of hours at Wolmar public beach, well worth a trip (easy free parking) if you want to see another section of the coast, but in a less touristy section than Flic-en-Flaq.
Last, but definitely not least, Francoise (the owner) was a joy to deal with. She provided lots of information and answered my many emails (with patience) leading up to our stay. She even greeted me at the villa via video call to ensure everything was ok! Thanks Francoise for a relaxing and comfortable first week on this beautiful island!

EXCELLENCE

Take a tall glass, half fill it with ice, add a good glug of white rum, fill the rest with lemonade (not the brown stuff that my Mauritian grandfather referred to as 'cola-cola; that would be 'Cuba Libre', add a twist of that fruity small citron from Rodrigues Island and you have yourself a Moris Libre. Now you will need an elegant, authentic creole veranda to sit under to savour your Moris Libre. I know just the place, it is attached to Villa Belifage II at Albion. Now you are set for a tropical holiday. The veranda of this smart villa overlooks the swimming pool and the neat tropical garden with several fruit trees. We spent several hours every day of our holiday during Mid August to Mid September whiling the time away reading, chatting, discussing, eating, drinking and so on under this very same veranda.
The rest of the villa is also carefully well appointed; all as described on the HomeAway site. However what you won't find there is the little attention to details that Madam and Monsieur Bozelle have invested in the well being of their guests. Yes we felt like guests rather than 'tenants'. Details such as the availability of a local mobile phone, the basket of books many by local authors, ample crockeries (in including a tureen) and cutleries, pots and pans of every description and dimension, glasses galore and god quality sharp knives. Yes we were sharing the home of someone who cooks. If like me you are a coffee fanatic you have at your disposal, a caffetier, a moka and a nespresso type machine.
The hand picked staff team is headed by the inimitable and charming Veronique who welcomed us and waited for us as we were late arriving at the villa. Veronique also came to see us every day, with that charming greeting welcome Mauritian ritual of a kiss on both cheeks, Ragini who showed us many acts of kindness, went about her business unobtrusively and efficiently. Ti Maurice, the gardener found us an out of season mango.
Taking a walk with Veronique and Jean Paul around the village of Albion is a delight, one has to exchange a few words with so many people and the know many people...Giving each other the time of day is a tradition here..coze cozer in the local lingo.

Ti Maurice, the gardener found us an out of season mango.Taking a walk with Veronique and Jean Paul around the village of Albion is a delight, one has to exchange a few words with so many people and the know many people...Giving each other the time of day is a tradition here..coze cozer in the local lingo.
