Throwback retro vibe, slightly dated furnishings, 2 units per floor,no elevator for 3 floors. Room a/c not quite adequate for summer heat but unit is as pictured, comfortable beds, easy checkin & out, some street noise as expected but off the main streets.

The air conditioner was not working all the time especially at night and I requested twice for someone to come and check it and no one came. The ironing table was very dirty Other than that the apartment was ok

However there were small ants in the bathroom, kitchen and under the stove. The bed was not great, the throw rugs on the floor (2) were absolutely filthy, numerous stains from spills that was just vacuumed, not cleaned. The TV would only get 6 channels that just cycled the same programs, no fan in the bathroom.

It was close to the beach, shopping and dining., but it was also quiet at night so if one wanted to relax they could enjoy the evening at the condo. There was a problem with the internet when we got there we contacted Ali’i Beach Rentals and they sent someone over right away to fix it.

Reviewer Comments: nice clean one bedroom of the Kuhio Ave. We have stayed in several places in the past in Waikiki and believe, it's a very decent place in comparison to other locations. The place is located in 3 story apartment complex on the second floor. The complex doesn't have a pool, however, for us, it was not an issue even with 2 youngters. ABC store is about 2 minutes away walk and Food Pantry is about 5 minute walk.

ただ、カーペットは非常に汚らしく、変えた方が良いです。
また、冷凍庫に前の宿泊者の食べかけのアイスクリームが残っていたのは最悪でした。
決して安くはないcleaning feeなので、もう少しきちんと清掃して欲しいです。

もう一度宿泊するかと聞かれたら微妙ですが、リーズナブルに泊まれました。

Great to have beach chairs, umbrellas, snorkelling equipment available; however the bin was in disarray, completely disorganized and some equipment had missing pieces (umbrella stand) — needs to be organized. Floor fan in living room needed to be “helped” in order to function properly (shouldn’t have to manipulate fan blades to get it running). Also, light in bathroon (over shower and toilet area) did not work — this should be checked prior to guests checking in.

The apartment had everything we needed - a nice kitchen, tv's, wifi and plenty of places to hang out. There was plenty of beach stuff available to borrow, which made the stay even more pleasant! The communication with the property managers was quick and helpful.

The kitchen looks nice but needs a dishwasher because we spent too much time cleaning the dishes. Wish the $110 cleaning fee covers the trash and the dishes because we spent an hour doing them and we were very tired at the end of the night already. We even spent more time taking out the trash and we had luggages to carry with them. We felt like $110 is too much for the cleaning. We couldn't find more trash bags to use either. Our second apartment hotel only charged $30 with no booking fee and we got much more value out of the second place and we didnt have to take the trash out and take all the leftovers with us. There are also small repairs needs to be done in this apartment, water are dripping, hole on the bathroom ceiling and missing tile piece in the bathroom. Didn't bother us much just made a note. The street and air conditioner also also noisy at night. The snorkeling gear were dirty, they all need a rinse, the beach bags are mostly broken. We found one that's useable. The location was convenient, within walking distance to Waikiki and bus stop but it was next to an empty lot and the view is a noisy street. There was construction in the morning. All the code and keys are not that convenient at all. It's better to have only codes or only keys. The bed doesn't have much support and not comfortable. We feel like the frame isn't strong enough.

Sand, dirt was all over the rug, the bed had black hairs on the sheets and some stains, pillows smelled like beach, not washed. Other than that, it was just fine.

The location is ideal in Waikiki, about 3 blocks to the main Waikiki beach, a block to the Ala Wai, a couple of blocks to the zoo and Kapilolani Park, half a block to the bus. The only downsides were that it was noisy (being in the middle of a densely packed neighborhood does that) and the couch and chair in this particular unit and really uncomfortable ( we believe these are being changed after we mentioned it-- see responsive-- wish we had said something at the beginning of our stay rather than the end). We would definitely come back!

The patio doors could use some work there is a huge open 1/2 inch gap between the two large doors that could use some type of stripping that might help to cut the sounds. The doors shake when a large truck passes and bugs could easily get through the large space. If that were fixed it would be lots better. Not the fanciest place in Hawaii but very convenient location.
