The property was beautiful, very clean, super well located. My only problem was it was advertised as having air conditioning. The AC was a large floor unit for the bedroom upstairs. There was no AC downstairs where I was sleeping. We had 100 degree temperatures the week we were there. I received one text during the week saying we should please close the sliding glass doors on the main floor when the AC was on. I had to open them at night to cool the room off. The pool saved me. I went out very late to take a dip & lower my body temperature most every night. Thank heavens for the beautiful pool!

This is a little paradise, a lovely holiday house artistically set in a beautiful garden, with a shady swimming pool. The neighborhood is quiet. Aileen has an old fashioned love of hospitality, a real joy in welcoming her guests. We feel lucky to have found this perfect place to stay.

Aileen is a very accommodating host who provided lots of conveniences to ensure I had a comfortable stay. Check in was easy and I felt very welcome. The cottage is roomy with good seating in the downstairs area and a comfortable chair in the upstairs sleeping area. The queen bed is comfortable. The kitchenette has all the necessary equipment for making a simple meal. Parking in the driveway is very convenient as I did not have to search for a space on the street. The grounds are secure and well lit (and lights can be easily turned off/on from inside the cottage). The location is close to downtown Los Gatos and downtown Saratoga. There is good freeway access to Hwy 17. I would most certainly rent again.

I needed a place to stay with my partner while recovering from surgery. Aileen's guest house was PERFECT. Quiet and isolated, it's located in a tranquil Los Gatos suburb. There is a kitchen and a fridge as well as access to laundry. Aileen respected our privacy while also generously giving us some of her homegrown figs and tomatoes (so good!) There's also a pool, which I wasn't able to use (not after my surgery) but it was lovely just to sit beside it and read in the California sunshine. It's a short Uber jaunt into downtown Los Gatos and my hostess was even gracious enough to give me a tour of the area. I recovered in record time from my procedures and part of the credit has to go to Aileen and her hospitality.

This hideaway was as nice as advertised and everything for which we were looking in a weekly rental. The hosts were friendly and generous and the location in the Central Bay area allowed access to attractions in all directions. From here we were able to take day trips to S.F., Monterey/Carmel, and even Yosemite. Or you can enjoy a nice day visiting the shops and restaurants in quaint downtown Los Gatos. After a long day travelling, it was so nice to come back to a picturesque garden patio and pool area in which to have dinner, a drink or just relax. We are runners and were able to snake our way to the Los Gatos Creek Trail which is about 1.5 miles away. From there you can go north towards San Jose or south towards the Reservoir. When our host saw us out running, she even supplied some pepper spray in case we decided to tackle the trails around the Reservoir (there were too many people to run into any mountain lions).

Wir waren mehr als zufrieden! Das Objekt übertraf unsere Erwartungen bei weitem! Wir kommen gerne wieder. Es hat alles "gepasst": von superfreundlichen Vermietern, über die Ausstattung der FeWo, bis zur Lage und der tollen Umgebung. Wir sind glücklich, dieses Objekt gefunden zu haben!

Barbara and I really enjoyed our stay at Aileen’s Guest Cottage while visiting my sister and family in Los Gatos. The living area and kitchen worked extremely well and was very comfortable and great for entertaining guests. The outside area around the pool was also a wonderful place for entertaining as well as relaxing in a beautiful garden setting. The upstairs bedroom worked well with a very comfortable queen bed. Aileen is an excellent host making sure we had everything we needed. The cottage was also well supplied and met our needs extremely well. We will want to return on our next trip to Los Gatos.

In one word, Fantastic. This lodging ranks at the top of vacation accomodations... location, hosts, guesthouse, gardens and pool. To sum up our experience, " We wanted to come back before we even left!"

Nice property in a good location.

I stayed here for almost 2 weeks. Very quiet and relaxing. The owners are very kind and considerate. This place is a "home away from home". Highly recommend this over a hotel room!

The property is lovely and the owners are gracious, warm and caring. Rooms are comfortable, well maintained and clean. We found the whole experience absolutely wonderful.

This property was wonderful! Set in a quiet neighborhood this charming cottage is on two levels. Floor 1 has an entertainment area and a small kitchen. Upstairs has a queen bed and bath. There is a washer and dryer dedicated to the unit. Our hosts Aileen and Sam were wonderful. We grilled dinner together one night. We never had a chance to enjoy the pool but the gardens show the the attention to detail that is a hallmark of the property. When we checked in we found coffee by Keurig and 1/2 & 1/2 in the fridge. If you plan to be in Los Gatos for a week, you’ll be much happier here than at any hotel.

We loved staying here! It’s very private and everything we needed was there. It was very clean and quiet and the bed was very comfortable. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The neighbourhood is absolutely beautiful, would move there in a heartbeat if feasible! We were close to all amenities and great restaurants. We would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I stayed here in early spring 2015. The charming cottage is situated on the rear of the owners property and very private. The backyard is absolutely gorgeous with high end landscaping and lovely pool. There are several places to enjoy the outdoors. The neighborhood is quiet and the neighbors friendly. Los Gatos has much to offer and we couldn't have been happier with our accommodations or the upscale neighborhood. The owners are very personable and welcoming. The interior of the cottage is immaculately clean and well appointed. There is a small but sufficient kitchen and when we needed additional cooking utensils the owners were very accommodating. There is a small refrigerator in the unit, and access to a storage area where we had full use of full sized refrigerator and upright freezer. The cook top on the island worked well for the limited cooking we did. We enjoyed watching movies and television on their large flat screen television in the cottage living area. There is reliable wifi. Upstairs the bedroom and bathroom are accessed by a winding staircase. There is a large closet as well as dresser for clothes storage. We have stayed at many properties around the world and we rate this among our favorite place to stay.
