The area is really amazing, the small house looks so beautiful and I love the jungle flair.
They made omelette for breakfast, as we asked for it, because we don't eat sweet.
The dog is friendly and the family is polite.
The room was so moldy that all our clothes got so much clammy and musty, that we had to give everything to the laundry.
There where three showers, one with a small heater, but the water that came out was only a trickle and not enough to wash the hair. The others where cold, one with enough water to get the shampoo out.
WiFi was not really good working (we could not work online, neither watch anything).
The highly praised food to order for dinner was okay from the Taste (no spices, very European), but completely overprised!
Not nearly as pretty and loving as it looks in the pictures. And not even any fruits after for that price (1500 Sri Lanka Rupees each).
Breakfast is 4 pancakes, if you don't like sweet, they make omelette - from one egg for each.

Our stay was great, the room was very clean and match the pictures exactly. The host was very kind and helpful, he was very helpful in organizing activities. Also the food was superb, the dinner the family made was very tasty. Would stay again.

Best price I have ever had for a hostel and worth a lot more. Lovely host that helped arrange tuktuks etc. They also offer dinner - which again was really cheap and just delicious!
Beds were the most comfy we had in Sri Lanka.

We spent amazing 3 days in Sigiriya. The host family is very sweet and nice. The food was great! Definitely recommend :)

Frequent power cuts, which of course has nothing to do with the host, but a bit annoying if you would like to charge a phone or turn on a fan :-(

Green Bamboo House is run by super friendly family. It is a quiet place, far from noisy street with beautiful bamboo garden. It is a perfect place for chillout. Easy to get to Sigiriya by tuk tuk or on foot. Highly recommend.

Amazing guesthouse tucked into a quiet and local neighbourhood 2-3 km away from Sigiriya. Family that owns the place are incredibly nice and create a great atmosphere for the guests. I highly recommend getting a dinner homemade by the Mom of the house!
