It was an amazing stay... Staff was cheerful and super helpful about everything. We had the chance to meet the owner as well and we enjoyed chattlng with him. His enthusiasm absolutely reflects to the ambiance.

This is a beautiful riad with gorgeous decor and luxurious rooms. The bar is exceptionally good - the cocktails are second to none! All the staff were friendly, welcoming and so helpful. I can’t recommend this place enough.

Situated 5 mins walk from the hustle & bustle of the souks, Riad Noir D’Ivoire was indeed the perfect oasis where you could relax after a busy day in the Medina. Considering the tremendous attention to detail and high end furnishings this Riad is great value for money. All the staff there made our visit so memorable, always meeting us with a smile and doing anything possible to help us. Both Abdul & Mohammed on reception couldn’t be more attentive! This Riad is actually two in one as the neighbouring property has been joined and has a wonderful pool with jacuzzi that sits beneath a waterfall cascading gently down an entire wall. quite breathtaking! Steve the owner has produced a remarkable result designing the Riad, keeping a traditional Moroccan vibe whilst mixing modern finishing touches. We will definitely return.

Everyone was super friendly. Our hotel was clean and very Moroccan style. We loved every bit of our stay. Wish had more days to enjoy the city, hotels facilities and hope we can visit again. Definitely recommend!

Property is decorated in Moroccan style with earthy colours, antique looking furniture, candlelight, roses, comfortable sofas in common areas. Rooms are spacious with comfortable beds and view to common lobby with loads of windows and Moroccan style mirrors and ornaments. The best of all was staff. All of them were so friendly and exceeded all of our expectations. Staying in Medina is special experience and we were prepared to get lost and shared our view with staff - to make our stay as comfortable as possible they offered to walk with us to local restaurants in the evening and even came to pick us from restaurants too. This is what made us feel like we were part of one big family! If we were to go to Morocco again, this boutique hotel would be our first choice. We would strongly recommend it to our friends and family!

We always focus on positive so have not noticed there was anything negative

We have just returned from a wonderful stay in Marrakesh. We were both moved and inspired by this stunning city. We enjoyed every second of our stay here, the staff are wonderful, always available to help and look after your needs. We had a guide on our first day to take us around the city which we strongly recommend as felt far more confident exploring on our own afterwards, but if you get lost the staff at hotel are more than happy to come and escort you back to the Riad. After the first day or so we pretty much had our bearings. We stayed in the Honeymoon suite in the Riad which was absolutely stunning, although we had lots of tours planned we did manage to spend a few hours each day on our private roof terrace soaking up the winter sunshine. Breakfast was beautiful and even on our early outings before the kitchen was open we were catered for 🥰 Every meal we thoroughly enjoyed. Cocktails were beautiful, I would recommend a bottle of Moroccan Sauvignon Blanc 👌🏻👌🏻 The Romance experience we booked with the Riad was perfect! A huge thank you for making our stay so special. We will most definitely return to your beautiful Riad and City.

wouldn’t change a thing

Breakfast was included and was plentiful, fresh fruit salad and yogurt, fresh local bread and pastries and eggs of your choice, recommend you go with the local variations of baked eggs, so tasty. Food was great and maybe more local food should be available to try, us British are quite good at spice with our eclectic food scene, nothing was too daring, but all we had was well cooked, we did however get the chance to taste the food being cooked for the staff one lunch time and it was heavenly, this is what needs to be available to guests too we loved it, you don't go to Morocco and not expect to eat morrocan food. Staff were amazing, everyone from front of house to house keeping and the lovely lady who cleans the silverware, all are emensly helpful kind and proud of where they work. I'd highly recommend staying here, you must realise how hard anywhere is to find in the medina its no more or less hard to navigate here to anywhere else, you will get lost, you will panic, you will struggle to orientate yourself, you will need a good map, paper and on your phone, some phone companies don't cover Morocco as standard so check before you travel, don't assume you're covered, we are with o2 and in one day my husband ran up £100 in data usage using google maps before we were notified, you can get a sim card with data from the airport or there are shops around.

There's two pools, one plunge pool which is cold and more of an ornamental pool to dine around, the other pool in a separate courtyard is meant to be heated and on arrival it was not, however while it took a day and a bit to heat up they did sort it out for us to be able to use, there's a slightly sulphurous smell at times from water which I can only assume is the amount of minerals in it. The Riad is not all inclusive only breakfast is included and everything else it charged for, including bottled water as drinking tap is not recommended, very easy to forget this when you're offered tea or other drinks and food frequently, it all adds up on the final bill, a price list of the cost of such things as a reminder would be ideal, even if it's a list of costs in your room such as water tea, coffee etc. My only other suggestion would be improved lighting, yes the beautiful lights are amazing but don't give any descent light for getting dressed, putting on makeup or reading, with every light on it was still dim, but atmospheric. The roof terrace would of been lovely, we have obviously gone in january and they may think we won't want to sit outside but we did we had temperatures of 22 -24 degrees, a lovely summers day back in the UK and we found the terrace to be a bit forgotten or put away for winter, there were chairs and the sofa area but no loungers, they were away in storeage. Great sunset pics from the roof though 👌

All of the staff at Noir d’ Ivoire are exceptionally polite, friendly and willing to assist with any needs. The reception personnel, Abel and Hassan were so professional and could not have done more to ensure we had the perfect stay in Marrakesh. Wonderful people.

Whist the ambient light in the room was welcome and relaxing, an additional bright light in the bathroom and wardrobe areas would have been useful for shaving and applying make-up.

It is an amazing paradise to come back home to after the madness and chaos of the souks. We also took full advantage of the pools. A one of a kind luxurious retreat in the middle of the Medina with incredible and very attentive staff.

The hotel truly exceeded our expectations! Our jaws dropped when we walked in, the Riad is absolutely stunning with amazing attention to detail, everything is perfectly curated. Aside from that, the staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, really doing everything they can to perfect our stay! Both the day and the night concierge were exceptional, and we truly left with absolutely no complaints.

The place is genuinely amazing and exceeded our expectations. The place is gorgeous, our room was huge, well-appointed, clean, and quiet. The staff was among the most friendly, professional, and helpful that I have encountered in thirty years of travel.

The riad is an amazing 9-room gem in the old medina. It feels like living in a palace. The staff is super-friendly and tries to fulfill every wish. Our room "Chameleon" was also just amazing. Big, spacious and with great design. Breakfast was very good with the obligatory fresh orange juice and the best croissants and coffee we had in Marrakech. In the evening you can relax by the pool with a nice cocktail. The Riad is very close to everything, so you can walk everywhere by foot, but I'd recommend taking a taxi now and then.

Everything was perfect!

Beautiful property uniquely designed, you’d never imagine the oasis that is behind the doors from the street side. Abdel and the staff were wonderful hosts and our delux double room was exquisite.

Location is difficult to get to and find.

The staff were exceptional

Excellent staff that went above and beyond to check on us during our stay. Huge rooms, comfortable bed and great location - walking distance to many places. Great help to be greeted by the porter at our taxi on the first day so we could find our way through the alleys to the Riad. Delicious gluten free cake for breakfast- not too sweet. Enjoyed lighting the fireplace one night as it does cool down a bit in the evenings.

There is a live musician until 10:30pm every night and often other music is played via speaker until midnight. This made it extremely challenging to wind down and get to sleep and normally we enjoy getting up early. We were also charged for bottled water - otherwise free during the entire stay. We hadn’t received any in our room the night before so didn’t think much of asking for it the next day. Then we received a service charge on top to bring it up the stairs to the rooftop after I had offered to wait for it. The pool didn’t get any sunlight during our entire 5 day stay, but we sat in the lounge chairs on the rooftop for a bit to unwind.
