The house is well appointed and taken care of. We had easy communication with the owner and had a wonderful stay in Mayo.

My brothers and our spouses had the privilege of staying at this lovely country home. We all had private baths and plenty of room to relax and visit. If I were to return, I would most definitely stay here again. The owner was exceptional at her communications prior to our arrival and throughout our visit. 5 stars!!

We had a lovely time in a beautiful home close to Westport and had all the amenities, including wonderful and responsive hosts. We recommend Oak Leaf Cottage! Claire was a dedicated and accessible host who thought of everything!

The house was perfect for a large family gathering. Lots of space in common rooms and a sun room for those who wanted some solitude. The hosts welcomed us with fresh bread and scones, a nice unexpected treat.

This property was terrific for our group- my husband and I were traveling with our grown daughters and their spouses. It was so nice to each have our own room with private bathrooms. The layout of the house was great. Very large living room with floor to ceiling windows and a fireplace. Extremely well equipped kitchen, with everything we needed to cook in and dine in. Plenty of dinnerware, stem ware , pots, utensils etc. We were so happy to have a gas grill for barbecuing steaks after a long day exploring. The large patio table and chairs were a great place for coffee in the morning, with an unbeatable view of Croag Patrick. The lawn swing also got plenty of use. The home had a large, well cared for , private yard where we spent most mornings and evenings. The location is very private, yet very close to downtown Westport. Our entire group absolutely loved the accommodations, setting, and location. We cannot recommend it enough. Our host was wonderful as well.

The house was lovely and clean, with a beautiful view and everything we needed to have a wonderful stay with friends and our adult children. We were greeted with bakery treats and a phone call with Claire, who gave us tips on things to do in the area and phone numbers for local taxis to make it easy to go into Westport in the evening. Thanks for making this a wonderful vacation!

Wonderful home located in the perfect central location in Westport just a few minutes from the center of town. The home was beautiful equipped with everything we needed. Especially the kitchen. A wonderful space for a romantic getaway or traveling with family and kids. We so enjoyed cooking lovely meals with ingredients purchased at the Sunday Farmers Market. The view from the kitchen of Croagh Patrick was absolutely gorgeous from sunrise to sunset. Just 5 minutes away and what a fantastic and challenging hike we had. Also, the drive to Achill Island was breathtaking as was Keem’s beach. Absolutely a must drive and is known to be the top ten beautiful scenic roads ever. We will be back ……Merci Claire and team for being so attentive and caring to us. Fondly, Una & Mike…..we are off to Cavan now

A true joy to stay in such a well designed and beautifully appointed home…well beyond our expectations. Claire was a superb hostess with a fun sense of humour and easy instruction on the use of the household appliances…of which there were more than can be dreamed of!

Spacious house with three great bedrooms, large kitchen table for our big group. The backyard was perfect for the 4 kids with us, swing set and lots of grass to run in under the ever present peak of Croagh Patrick. We’d love to stay here again.

Beautiful property. Minutes from Westport town. Use Ollie as a taxis driver. Owner was fantastic in answering our questions. Suggestions to owner: include directions regarding washer and dryer , stove, etc. A nice touch would have been to have laundry detergent and a bottled water provided but no biggee. This was a great place to stay!!!

Oakleaf Cottage is a beautiful home that is very comfortable and welcoming. The owners were so helpful and lovely. The home is roomy, bright with sunlight, spacious and inviting. The kitchen was fully equipped and the rooms were spacious. The gardens were beautiful with wild flowers abloom. From the backyard, a spectacular view of Croaig Patrick. We loved our stay at Oakleaf Cottage and thank the owners for making it feel just like home.

We stayed for 5 nights and used this as our base for day trips throughout Mayo and Connemara with easy access to Westport town. Claire was incredibly accommodating pre-travel and throughout our stay. Check-in/check-out was a breeze. I highly recommend Oakleaf Cottage for families or adult friends.

We loved this property. We were there with my son and his wife and our 2 grandchildren. It had the space we needed for our group and was very well equipped. The garden was a real bonus and the swing set got plenty of use.

I messaged the owner and got a quick reply from Aine. They had only recently listed on HomeAway, but she offered to send me reviews from other sites they list on. The reviews were positive so we made a reservation. When we arrived at the house, Magda greeted us and explained everything we needed to know. The house was even better than the pictures. It was clean and the kitchen was well supplied with utensils and kitchen ware. We had lots of privacy. Each bedroom had it's own bathroom. We loved seeing Croagh Patrick from the kitchen window. There was a well organized binder with any information you might need for the house and the town. The trip to "downtown" was less than 10 minutes. Aine checked in with us (via text) a couple of times during the week to make sure that all was well. We made use of the grill, chiminea and fireplace (on a cool rainy day). One bit of information for those not used to it, we needed to pay for our electricity use through a pre-paid card and enter a code into the electric meter. Not a big deal, we paid 35 euro for our week stay. Our vacation in Westport was wonderful and Oakleaf Cottage was a big part of that! We would highly recommend this rental and hope to return in the future.
