We had a great time, house was very roomy and provided lots of space for the kids to play. House was clean and had all the essentials needed for our stay. We would highly recommend this property and would love to stay here again.

This property was perfect for our group of three generations. There was plenty of space and sitting areas to be apart yet roomy enough for all of us to be together to share a meal or play games. The host was very responsive to questions and clear about check-in/out procedures. We cooked complete large meals for the whole group and the kitchen was well stocked (except I would suggest a new potato peeler). We all appreciated the welcome touches like coffee filters placed on the coffee pots ready to be used. This property met all our needs and we enjoyed our stay very much. We will be back!

We had a wonderful trip to Shaver Lake! The house was perfect for our group of 4 families (6 elementary age children). The kids loved sledding next to the house, there was plenty of room for everyone to be together or have some space, it was great to send kids downstairs when they wanted to be rowdy and play, there were lots of great games and toys onsite. We snowboarded at China Peak (30-40 min away depending on road conditions). It is an awesome, large cabin. We are already talking about booking next winter!

An amazing stay in shaver, the cabin was very spacious enough for all our friends and family. Down stairs area served great for kids hang out while the top floor worked well for the adults and babies. Great location, close to the store and a short drive to the resort. Plenty of parking for vehicles and a perfect hillside to sled and occupy the kids. Can’t wait to stay here again!

This was a great house with plenty of space for our group of 4 families with young children (ages 1-6). Kitchen was well stocked for us to cook all of our meals. The house was very clean. The kids loved having the downstairs play area. Bedrooms all had space for a pack n play. For future guests I recommend communicating about the check in process ahead of time. We were skiing at China peak without reception before check in, which complicated things. Also, there is no soap, shampoo, etc provided so make sure to bring your own.

Getting together with family is important but having the place to be with them is just as important and this one was able to accommodate us all.

This place is amazing , exactly what we were looking for , we had a party of 12 including teenagers and kids , everybody loved it , there was enough room for all of us and it never felt crowded, the house several amenities that fitted all of our needs, the adults enjoyed the deck we had a bbq day , while the kids were downstairs playing with all the game boards and games available in the game room. We had enough bathrooms for everybody Location is good too The only thing we didn’t have was an ice cream scooper we couldn’t find it other than that we are planing on going back next year.

Our family had a reunion at Shaver and stayed at this great house. There was plenty of room for grandparents and 4 families. The two living rooms gave separation and space when needed. The back deck had an extra large table enough space for us all to have dinner together. Kitchen was big enough to have many chefs in there at once, plus plenty of bathrooms. They also just added asphalt to the driveway and we had plenty of room for our boat and jet skis. We would definitely go back!

We had a large group comprised of 5 families. The photos do not do this property justice. It is a beautiful cabin in a great location convenient to town and the lake. Unfortunately, on our second day, a nearby forest fire caused the air around Shaver Lake to be extremely smoky. Since we all stayed indoors, the cabin provided ample entertainment for our group. Various games in the gameroom, multiple TVs and other amenities kept us busy. Luckily the smoke cleared up by late afternoon and we were able to explore the outdoors. The owners were very communicative and accommodating. The property is highly recommended and I will be coming back here for future stays.

The 5 star review for all categories speaks for itself. The property manager was excellent in addressing consumable supply issues, explaining why there cannot be an abundance in stocking. Be sure to pack extra toilet paper, hand and body soap, dish soap, trash bags (all sizes), paper towels, etc.

We loved the rental. It was very clean and the layout is wonderful for a group with a arange of ages. We were never crowded in one area which made for a very relaxing time. Beds were super comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. We would definitely love to stay again sometime.

This house was better than advertised and the sledding was fantastic! We had the most fun and we didn't have to leave the property. Well never stay at another place and will keep coming back for the sledding on the property. Cant wait to book when there is a storm forecast for our stay. The owners were prompt and helpful for any questions we had. Thank you again!

Our extended family of 12 had a fantastic time playing in the snow at Timber Cabin. The house is spacious and well appointed, the beds are comfy, the kitchen and dining area are super usable and functional, there are plenty of bathrooms for multiple families, and everything is very well maintained. Cabin access is easy and the forest views right off the deck are lovely. I have seldom had such consistently excellent communication with the property managers I suppose some people would find the back and forth overbearing but we loved knowing we were well supported and that boundaries were clear (we had 7 kids in tow, we know you gotta set ground rules!), We built a spectacular set of sled runs in the yard, as the hill is an ideal slope for kids of all ages to get as much speed as is manageable. Not too steep, not too shallow, a goldilocks play zone for snow. We had a lovely time and we'll gladly make repeat visits.

This was one of the best homes we have ever rented. There were more than enough rooms, beds and bathrooms. We loved the downstairs very roomy game/living room with games, shuffleboard and more. The small frig and sink was nice touch. The kitchen was very well equipped. The only things we brought was a Keriug, even though they had a coffee maker and a large deep skillet. We were thrilled that the property was so large-3 excellent sled runs, hiking and play areas. Communication was excellent. Peter was very helpful snd kind throughout the trip. We plan to book it again. Thank you.

An amazing cabin to ring in another birthday. It accommodated 4 couples comfortably with room to spare. The amenities are amazing with great location, close to town. There was nothing more we could have asked for on this trip and with this cabin. I would highly recommend!

First off I would like to say that the property itself was really nice. I would give that a 5 star, however, for my stay I would give it a 1 star. If you like your privacy I Do Not recommend this place. There are cameras all around. If you want to hang out on the deck or under the patio, there are cameras watching you 24/7. It felt like we were being spied on. And if you care about your safety and the safety of your loved ones, this place is not for you, especially during the winter when it’s snowy and icy. The driveway is very steep. On the day we were leaving we had a hard time getting up the driveway due to black ice. One of our vehicle was an AWD(All Wheel Drive) and because there was black ice we had a hard time getting up the driveway. The vehicle skid back down. It was very scary moment. One of our other vehicle had chains on it and couldn’t make it up the driveway. During this time as we are all trying to figure out a way to get our vehicles up, the property manager kept texting and calling to make sure we leave on time. Check out time is 10 Am. We were leaving at exactly 10 however we were having a difficult time getting up the driveway due to the steepness and black ice. We told him that we are having trouble getting up the driveway due to the black ice. At this point we are all scared. The car skid back and almost hit the wall. All he told us was we needed to figure it out because he needed us gone. He clearly did not care about our safety. He was clearly watching us from the cameras because he was constantly texting us. He suggested we have the 4 men that were there push the car that was stuck up the driveway. First off, the driveway was super slippery due to the black ice. You can barely walk on it without slipping yet he wanted the 4 men to stand behind the car and push it. How did he know there we 4 men there and what kind of car was stuck if he wasn’t watching us the whole time? He saw that we were struggling yet he wanted us out of there so bad he didn’t care that the driveway was unsafe. It was a very scary experience. Luckily a friend was able to find some salt for us to pour over the black ice. It took us over an hour to get out. This place is not worth having to deal with the property management who is actually the homeowner.

We truly enjoyed our stay. The house is big, beautiful, cozy and most importantly very clean. Plenty of space for kids to enjoy themselves. We would love to visit again!

It has all you need. A TV in each room so if you don’t like the same thing. Plenty of showers and amazing view on the porch. Even found hiking trails right outside. You don’t have to go anywhere you have it all right in your own home. Plan to ego again

My family wanted to get together for a getaway since we haven’t seen each other in such a long time and because we were celebrating some big birthdays. Peter’s home was a great size and was a Fully stocked with everything that we needed. The house felt comfortable and we throughly enjoyed our time. We look forward to spending more time in the future, maybe during winter. Peter was great on communicating

On July 20-22 my family and close friends got together for our yearly shaver lake trip. This cabin was by far the best cabin we’ve stayed at. Everything was clean and the atmosphere was great. There was one inconvenience, and it is the property manager was messaging me constantly about issues that were taking place electronically at the home. The sprinklers apparently weren’t working or weren’t connected to the WiFi, so I had to go and reset them. Then I was questioned as to whether or not anyone in the house of the kids touched the router and re-set it. After I confirmed to him nobody knows the home had touched the router, he stated a tech was going to have to come out and take a look. Writing him back and doing these minor things were inconvenient, but I did them anyways out of respect for a home that wasn’t mine. I understand the anxiety it could cause a home owner in an area that is prone to fires, especially with last years Creek Fire. Other than this, the overall experience was great and and would love to stay here again.

What a beautiful home and location! We had an amazing time and felt right at home. Plenty of space and amenities. We enjoyed barbecuing on the large deck and all eating together at large dining tables inside and out!

We rented this beautiful cabin with 2 other families. It is in a great location—close to China peak for us to ski and right outside the main strip in Shaver. There was plenty of room for all of us to have our own space in the bedrooms and also to gather in the kitchen/dining room. The cabin had everything we could need...from kitchen supplies to sleds. It even snowed on one of the nights and the kids woke up to fresh snow to sled on in the backyard! We enjoyed our stay very much and hope to come visit again. Thank you for a comfortable, relaxing, and memorable snow trip!!

This emaculate home had more than enough soace and beds for all 13 of my extended family. The owner communicated in a timely manner with any answers I needed and was proavtive so that our trip was relaxing.

The house was more than we could have hoped for! So warm and inviting...home away from home. Kids enjoyed the game room with big screen televisions, shuffle board and basketball, and adults enjoyed the fire place and living room so warm and cozy. Couldn’t enjoy the deck cause it was 4 feet deep in snow! Definitely recommend and would like to come again and try it out in the summer. Thanks!
