this property was outstanding, all the correspondence before and details about check in, recommendations were very clear and helpful etc. Property exceptionally clean and tidy, ideally situated to explore the island and short walk to shops and places for essential items. Turning into parking area and parking is a little tight if you have a very large car and the other spaces for properties nearby are in use, but not impossible.

We really enjoyed our stay in Ryde and in Auction House. Christine the owner was very friendly and gave us great restaurant tips. The house was lovely, in a great location and was very clean, with comfy beds. There is also a BBQ that we enjoyed on our first night. Unfortunately the washing machine was out of order but Christine arranged for her house keeper to pick up our washing and had it washed and dried in the same day for us, a really lovely touch! My only suggestions would to have a few board games and have Netflix/Prime etc on the TV. We highly recommend staying at Auction House.

We had a great week at the Auction House - the property is beautiful and very well equipped. Christine was so helpful both before and during our stay. Ryde is a lovely seaside town with a beautiful beach and lots of bars, cafes and restaurants.

Spotlessly clean. Well equipped kitchen- we brought some of our own utensils, as my brother in law is a gourmet chef, but did not need them! Well positioned. Good host- definitely ‘On it’.

We had a lovely family holiday (2 adults, 2 children aged 5 &6) with the Auction House as our base. The house itself is modern, comfy and cosy with lots of nice extra touches (excellently equipped kitchen, for example lots of spices & herbs). Bottle of wine, milk, tea, coffee, sugar, and biscuits much appreciated. The four-poster bed was very comfortable, and the kids loved their twin room. The house has private parking in a very quiet mews, yet the main shopping streets of Ryde are 2-3 minutes away. The beach is about 10-15 mins walk and Appley beach & playgrounds also walkable (25-30 mins). The hosts were very helpful, although we didn’t need to contact them about any additional queries as everything was already well-organised by them. Would definitely recommend for either families or couples.

The Auction House was a fantastic base from which to explore on our family holiday. Everything we needed and more was available at the property and the little touches of finding milk in the fridge and a bottle of wine on arrival was much appreciated after our journey. The property was clean with beautiful furnishings and extremely comfortable. The towels were fluffy, bed linen soft and both my children commented on their comfy beds and slept brilliantly. The area was so peaceful at night despite being so close to the shops and being within walking distance of the main sea front was a huge bonus. We loved finding the toy shop! An email from Christine during the week with more recommendations on where to eat/visit was a lovely personal touch. We would have no hesitation recommending the property to others as it has really helped make our holiday special staying in this beautiful house.

Just had a fantastic one week stay at the Auction House, Ryde with my family of four. The property is very well situated within easy walking distance of everything you need, shops, great restaurants, a beautiful sandy beach. We met the owners Terry & Christine on the first day because we arrived early to see where the property was before heading off again. They are lovely people, and it's true what they say, if you need anything such as recommendations etc, they are always on the end of the phone. The property itself is really well done, very clean, comfortable beds, everything else you need such as dishwasher, utensils, nice towels. There is a lovely little courtyard area and the neighbours are really nice. We would recommend this property and the owners 100%. We will definitely stay again. I literally don't have anything negative to say. And if you go to the Island, I recommend Blackgang Chine for young children, it's magical in a very strange way. Restaurants, The Coast in Cowes is fantastic so we went there twice, the best dressed Crab in Bembridge (the best seafood platter you will ever have), and the Three Buoys in Ryde, also fantastic amongst many others.

Good size, well furnished, kitchen well equipped. Comfortable place to stay whilst we explored the Island. Good location with easy access to walk into Ryde with restaurants, shops and the beach. PS. Emily says the Toy Shop is amazing (Toy Master)

What a lovely surprise, this luxury mews house is just that...a real luxury The house is modern, clean, beautifully decorated and perfectly situated. The property is within easy walking distance of a variety of good restaurants and transport links if you wish to leave the car behind. We had a wonderful break in Ryde, it was an opportunity to recharge our batteries and spend some quality time with our children. Our favourite trip was to Quarr Abbey.....well worth a visit...it also has a lovely tea shop and delicious cakes 🍰 A great mini break in the IOW....THANK YOU !

This is a dear little house hidden away in the centre of Ryde. The furnishings are very tasteful and the beds comfortable. There were little extras like good quality soap and a good supply of essentials. We didn’t take a car which is very feasible as there is a good bus service from Ryde. There are plenty of reasonable restaurants within a short walking distance and good cafes for breakfast. Hence we did no cooking whatsoever.

We've just had our 6th annual stay at the Auction House for Cowes week and as always it's been a great experience. Sadly our last as with our children turning into adults and moving on to other things, it's unlikely that they will want to return. But we'll be back like a shot if we get the chance as we love it here.

On arrival we found the house to be spotlessly clean and tastefully furnished with no signs of any wear and tear and special attention is paid to meet all our needs during our stay . It is situated in a quiet location but still close to the town and beach. Having spent our week visiting all the towns and places of interest we felt we had definitely picked the best town staying in Ryde. Just 10 minutes drive from the ferry at Fishbourne to the house.Overall we really enjoyed our timr here and would highly recommend this house for a relaxing comfortable stay in the Isle of Wight

It was simply just a true delight & so unusual to have such excellent quality of home furnishings. Normally I’ve found is that people put their old items in their holiday cottage, but not here, all top notch & it’s very central for everything. We absolutely loved it. Favourite place of all was “Steephill Cove” totally loved it & also Yarmouth is a delight. A must do is the Breezer Open top bus. Basically there’s so much to do on the Island, the Shanklin Theatre was great along with the delightful Chine, which dur8ng the summer is illuminated from 7pm...stunning. Will definitely use this property again if I go to IOW again. Just fabulous.

The house was lovely, tastefully decorated and well located for the high street and other attractions in Ryde. Very nice to find a fresh pint of milk in the fridge for our tea (also provided) in the morning.

This house made our family weekend away feel like a luxury mini-break. Who would have thought a trip with a 3 month old and a 3 year old could be so relaxing and feel so five star?! The house is beautifully decorated, but practical enough that we felt comfortable letting our toddler roam about. The beds, linen, duvets and pillows are top quality and so comfy. Plus the walls are thick enough for the kids not to disturb each other in the night, so we all slept very peacefully. I knew from previous reviews how well- equipped the house was, which made packing very easy. From essentials like dishwasher tablets to treats like the welcome tray of wine and shortbread, the owners have thought of everything you might need. And the gorgeous toiletries in the luxury bathrooms make you feel very pampered - it reminded me of expensive hotel living before kids came along which was lovely! Location is perfect with the shops, restaurants and seafront of Ryde a short walk away (Olivio was lovely - great food and family friendly). We were there end Sept and was still warm enough to play on the beach - and enjoy the trampolining on the seafront! We also loved the old steam railway - don't miss the train themed playground and Thomas tracks to play with along the platform when you've finished your train ride! Quarr Abbey is a lovely stop on the short drive back to the Fishbourne ferry - our little one loved feeding the pigs and the cakes in the tea room are fabulous. We will definitely be returning for future holidays, and will be booking into this house early as it is (understandably!) very popular.

We felt immediately at home. There were comprehensive instructions for all appliances. Nothing has been forgotten. The box of information about the IoW was most useful. There was even an O.S. map for our use. A lovely touch was the tray of tea, coffee, biscuits and wine on our arrival. The neighbours were also very friendly. The house is convenient for Ryde town centre, where there are several decent restaurants, and the esplanade with bus and railway stations.

Lovely house neat and tidy in a quiet courtyard.Great base if you like the Ryde area. Our first time to IOW so perect spot to base ourselves but would say with children we were conscious about making noise in courtyard so kept them inside (am sure no one would have complained neighbours seemed lovely ) Found the double bed a bit uncomfortable as quite hard but that's just personal preference,the single beds the girls had were great. Owners really helpful , bottle of wine and biscuits on arrival and everything you need is provided in house very thoughtful .

We had a very pleasant week staying at The Auction House. The location is perfect as it's a short walk to the town and beach and it is easy to access other parts of the island. The decor and facilities are very good: everything we needed in the kitchen and a good power shower. It was clean and tidy with enough space for our things. We would certainly stay there again.
