We love location of property to food and trails. Every bedroom has its own full bathroom.

Very nice house, needs brighter lights. Kings size bed is a little too firm. Showers kinda dark and shower floor slippery. Stove was hard to work with . All minor things

We visited with our family of 9, including our 5 children aged 2-12. They had plenty of stuff for the kids, from games, balls and bikes to the paddle and jon boat. We enjoyed fishing off the pier, the large yard, saw deer, rode bikes. The grill provided came in handy and we were close proximity to gas stations and store. We will definitely keep this on our list to return.

This property is in a gorgeous and convenient location. Unfortunately the rental itself was lacking. Simple adjustments such as pillows that were not flat as a pancake, new sheets, updated shower / shower fixtures would make all the difference. My husband and I both are suffering from back pain from the mattress. We didn’t even try to cook in the kitchen. As my husband said it would be perfect for a boys fishing trip but for our family it was not what we expected. This property just needs some TLC and it would be ideal.

Host was very responsive - property was located on a beautiful spot. Cabin provided many of the essentials that I usually have to pack. The abundance of firewood was so appreciated!! Would have appreciated some better lighting for reading - especially in the bedrooms. Fishing was great - really enjoyed the views both from shore and on the water. Would certainly recommend this property!

We had a great visit and the cabin was all that we were looking for. A great getaway spot and very kid friendly. Brought bikes, kayaks and fishing gear and used it all. A very nice spot to relax overall!!!

What a great cabin…very clean and roomy, a well-stocked kitchen, plenty of firewood for the fireplace and the three bathrooms were wonderful for the five of us girlfriends. The owner was very personable and extremely understanding when our reservation was inadvertently cancelled due to a mix-up on our end. In addition, the caretaker was more than accommodating. She was a fabulous resource throughout our stay. Great choice for an Up North Getaway!!

I've been coming to Phillips since 2000. This was the nicest place that I have stayed by far.

Perfect base camp to hunt and explore the surrounding Phillips area. Well stocked fire wood and comfortable accommodations..

House is spacious, 3 big bedrooms and bathrooms. View of lake from house is very special. New dock is great. House is older, needs a little updating and maintenance, but everything worked. Comfortable furniture.. Perfect for families.

Everything was exactly as described the house had plenty of room for everyone and the neighbors were very nice we had a good time and will book again

We had a great week on Long Lake. The cabin is old but well maintained and certain things have been upgraded without losing the character of the house (seemed like updated toilets and flooring). We had plenty of room both inside and out. The lake itself is on the smaller side with not much boat traffic especially during the week. Lots of peace and quiet! We enjoyed time on the dock and the paddle boat as well as campfires. Definitely recommend!

The cabin was amazing and a great location to relax and have fun with our kids and family that joined us. It was everything that was in the listing and more. The cabin was super clean and great hospitality including fresh flowers, s’more ingredients and hand written notes. The large dock was a plus and was great for fishing and plying with the kids (not many fish, but lots of cannon balls were done). The games in the basement kept the kids busy when it was raining and we used the fireplace as well. The washer and dryer was a huge plus for us to keep all the swimming gear clean. Thanks for sharing your cabin with us. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to other families looking to getaway!

The house is so much better in person than the pictures. It is beautiful and peaceful. The town is darling. There was plenty of wood for many evening fires inside and out. It was a perfect vactation!!!!

Just a beautiful cabin with such hospitality! Personal touches such as a welcome note with snacks, fresh flowers, and communication with the owner. The yard is large and our children had so much fun playing! Extra large dock made it easy to play and fish with children. Conveniences such as sheets, towels, cooking utensils, and washer and dryer were extra nice! Very spacious for our family! All this made for spending more time making memories as a family, and less time working and having to pack and unpack bedding, towels, cookware, Etc. A very precious time was had for our family!

Great location. We celebrated our sons’ birthdays with lots of outdoor fun. Close to snowmobile trails. Ice fishing on the lake. Even a spot for sledding. The games in the basement were so much fun (ping pong, air hockey, table hockey). Having bathrooms off of each bedroom was nice. Everything was supplied that we needed. Laundry was a nice perk as well.

Accommodations/ amenities had more than listed or expected. A separate bathroom for each bedroom is a big plus not often considered when searching for properties.

Overall, the cabin was what we needed. Each bedroom had an attached full bathroom which was great. Everything was very clean. The decor is rustic and interesting. There’s a stuffed black bear in the family room, which my daughter thought was really cool. The basement has air hockey, ping pong, and foosball. If you’re traveling with very small children, the stairs to the basement are a big problem. It’s a wide staircase in/next to the kitchen. It was a constant source of anxiety for me. Also, the water smells metallic. Maybe that’s just the norm for the area though. However, my daughter refused to bathe in it because the smell was pretty strong. The dishwasher was broken but the owner says he intends to fix or replace it. Based on other reviews, it seems the dishwasher had been an issue for a while. Overall, it was a good place to stay and I would recommend it.

My husband and I wanted a place in the Northwoods to rest up and relax, and we chose this place even tho it was WAY larger than we needed. We loved the log construction, very high quality, and the fireplace which we used OFTEN! The cabin was VERY clean, and we lacked nothing. We even baked cookies in the old fashioned oven with great results! Mary, the housekeeper, left snacks and ing for smores; how special is that?! There are neighbors fairly close, but one place was empty and the other neighbor built his garage between the two houses for great privacy! The dock is beautiful as well. We wanted to use the boat and paddle boat but it was too windy. Also wanted to catch some fish from the dock, but not even a nibble. That was disappointing to my husband. The yard is flat so we were able to play bag toss and enjoy the hammock! Also ping pong and air hockey in the nice basement. There are lawn chairs, life jackets, etc for use in the summer. There are hiking opportunities nearby and very worth it especially Timm's Hill, the highest point in WI!! Be sure to go to Hill O' Beans as well. We REALLY enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this place. Thanks for sharing your home with us!
