The location was great and the apartment was impecable

The studio apartment was the top floor (converted attic) of old Victorian house. Very clean and quaint, Lily, the owner is very concerned about every detail, so be assured it will be nice. The room has sloping floors and lower ceiling which we did not mind, the place is like 140 year old! Antique furnishings with modern kitchenette and nice little bathroom with a shower. We really loved the personality of it which added to the whole St. Augustine experience. Do note: this was up three steep and narrow outdoor stairs. We just tossed everything for the weekend in one big suitcase. Next time I will take two carry-ons, as it is difficult climbing the stairs with a large suitcase. Getting the key was as easy as can be, not a concern at all. Parking is in the back (yard) of the house in your own marked spot which was great, you just pull right in. The location is a very short walk to the major attractions. The neighborhood feels very safe, we had no concerns walking back late at night. There is a high end fancy restaurant and also a Brewery (pub) just around the corner from the house, with a lot more just a short walk away. As this was one of the least expensive options in St Augustine, I feel it was a very good value.

The stairs cannot be improved, its just the way the old house is, but are difficult to climb even without luggage. The AC is from a window unit which will keep the room cool but is fairly loud and cycles off and on continuously in power savings mode. I switched it to normal mode which helped a bit but is not ideal if that kind of thing bothers you.

My daughter and I needed a get away and wanted to be able to walk to the attractions, St George St., restaurants, and cafes. This placed delivered exactly that. Very clean and the bed was very comfortable. We loved sitting out on the balcony in the sun so relaxing. Couldn’t ask for more. We even had a nearby furry visitor.
