Great Location, lovely Apartment, would definitely Return!

Super apartment 2 miles from the centre of Stornoway. There is a bus stop about 100m down the hill. (Hebredian Way Cyclists note: you can get one of the normal buses to drop you here directly after finishing the Way at Ness) Our host was so helpful - asking if we needed anything from the shops (on a very wet and windy day) Safe parking for our bikes and a load of goodies in the apartment which had everything you required.

Spotlessly clean. Comfortable beds. Well equipped kitchen. Good bathroom with an excellent shower, Helpful and welcoming host.

It would have been useful to have somewhere near the door to hang coats and jackets, especially wet ones. But overall we were very satisfied with the apartment and would recommend it to others.

Good location to explore all island on first visit. Pleasant and helpful host. Nice views of sea. Off main road. Easy to operate heating. Smart bathroom and good shower. Lots of hot water.

The property was modern and very stylish, but some things could have been a little more practical, such as the bedside lamps which were impractical, bars stools uncomfortable, not much space or hanging area for wet outdoor clothing. The bed was comfortable but made up of 2 x 3. 6in mattresses so not as long as a king size bed.

Fantastic property, very spacious and extremely comfortable. In a lovely, peaceful location with views out to the sea. Really well equipped kitchen with many thoughtful extras. Christie was a great host: friendly, helpful and welcoming. We hope to return in the future

The property is very clean, nicely furnished and the facilities are excellent. There is everything you would need. Chrissie was an excellent, intentive but not intrusive host. Would highly recommend.

It is a bit further out of the town centre than would be ideal, but only a five minute drive.

We absolutely loved our time at Orasaidh , from location to the property itself we honestly couldn’t find a single fault . Chrissie the owner is absolutely lovely and made us feel so welcome , would highly recommend to anyone looking for a central base in Harris and Lewis

Nothing we didn't like

This compact wee holiday let was exactly what we needed. It contained all we needed and more. Chrissy was lovely and I'd recommend this place without hesitating. One large double or can be two singles.

It was comfortable and very well equipped. The owner made us very welcome and was on hand to sort out any problems and give advice.

Well equipped apartment with bike storage. Nothing is too much trouble for Chrissie. Lovely touches of locally produced body wash products. Fab views

This very minor issue no way detracted us from having a fab stay in this great apartment but unfortunately the internet couldn’t connect to the wi-fi and our host did all they could to rectify the issue.

The flat was extremely clean and comfortable with everything we needed and more. Fully equipped self-catering kitchen, even with a little dishwasher. Relaxing lounge and TV. We even had access to a washing machine and tumble drier. The bathroom was fully stocked with all sorts of body washes and shampoos. Fresh, fluffy clean towels. The bed was comfortable and my wife and I both had great night's sleep.

There was nothing to dislike. Our stay was heaven. Everything we needed and more. And our host Christina was so welcoming and accommodating.

The house is centrally located, and has everything including washing machine and tumble dryer you need for long or short term stay. The owner is a lovely person. She helped us promptly in all of our queries whenever we had needed. The house was professionally cleaned and well maintained, and also milk, biscuits & chocolates were kept prior to our arrival as well. We heartily felt: it is a lovely home away from home. We had a memorable dinner together including the owner, Chrisse in the garden. She is very honest and kind person. Amount of effort she had put to set fire on wooden chimney in order to feel warm while dining in a cold windy evening is priceless. A simple thanks is not enough. We enjoyed the private garden for relaxation and sunbathing. Sea view from roof terrace is amazing and it is more enjoyable especially during the sunrise and sunset. We enjoyed very much our time there and would like to return at some point of time.

Most things! Very well provided for kitchen area, everything was beautifully laid out and decorated. Super cosy! The bed was also very comfy. Very much recommended as a base for exploring Lewis and Harris.

Not much! The only small thing was, as we were warned by the host, the shower was a bit weak (not a major issue as was still usable, and the host mentioned this was being sorted, so might be a non-issue by the time any review readers arrive!)

Very well appointed apartment which was pristinely clean and had all the amenities one would need. The host was also very helpful and accommodating. Location was also good and not far from the town centre area. Excellent wifi and ample parking space.

Shower could have been better as water pressure was low. TV angle/position was slightly limiting.

Such a lovely apartment, clean and comfortable, and an ideal base for going out and exploring during our stay! Chrissie is lovely :)

Sofa not the most comfortable but not a deal breaker. Take your own hairdryer as this one not brilliant. The sloping ceilings may be problematic for anyone over 6 feet.
