This was our second stay at this amazing apartment, it is extremely well maintained and has everything you need for a relaxing stay.

We enjoyed John and Moira's two-bedroom until for a recent four night stay. Their place was comfortable and had everything we needed. The Olhao markets (open 6 days a week) is very close to their modern unit located on the waterfront. Everything was just perfect. Highly recommend!

Good overall as expected

Everything about our stay was wonderful. The lovely well equipped apartment, the thoughtful welcome package, the view overlooking tidal salt flats, and the walkable location with easy access to the charming fishing community of Olhao and the beautiful off shore islands. Property was great, can’t fault it.

We have just returned from a week long stay at Moira and John's apartment in Olhao. We stayed in the same town this time last year so know the area - this was a great stay. We were so impressed with the apartment which is even bigger and better than the photos. It was just myself and my husband staying (to celebrate my birthday) so we had a lot of room but even if there had been another couple with us, it would still be very spacious with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a little annex room. Unusually there was also plenty of seating in the living area and on the balcony (great for afternoon sun). The apartment has great views over the salt pans - this was one of the things that attracted me as the last place we had stayed did not have such good views. It is very quiet and extremely well equipped. The lifts are efficient and it is very secure and safe. We ate in for a few nights and found everything we needed in the kitchen as well as a much appreciated welcome pack. The wifi is good and there is plentiful hot water for showers. There is a pool on the roof (one floor up) but it was a bit chilly for us to swim in February but I think it would be lovely in warmer months. It's about a leisurely ten minute along the front past the marina to the markets. There are many great restaurants in the town (note that a lot are closed on Monday). This is one of the best apartments that we have stayed in and should we visit Olhao for a third time, we’d definitely stay here if it was available. We were met on our arrival by Eduarda who was very helpful and on hand (via WhatsApp) if we had any queries during our stay. Thank you Moira and John for a great stay (and for good communication before our visit).

We had the recent pleasure of staying at this large apartment for 2 weeks. Many thanks to Moira and John, our hosts, for the "welcome package" and for the extras added by Eduarda, the apartment manager. Much, much more than expected, but very appreciated! Eduarda, it was a pleasure to meet you personally on our arrival! Olhao is a great location to base yourself while exploring all that the Ria Formosa has to offer, and this apartment is nicely located very close to the morning fish and produce markets as well as the ferry terminal. As for the apartment itself, all we can really say is 5 stars for everything! It was great to return after a long day of sightseeing to someplace we could relax and cook a nice supper in a FULLY equipped kitchen. If we return to this area of Portugal this property will be first on our list to book again!

Great stay in a very clean apartment.

What a gem of a property and what absolutely fabulous owners. We booked in 2019 to go in 2020, but didn’t end to being able to go until this summer (2022) and throughout, Moira was super responsive to all our questions and amendments, From the moment we were picked up (all organised with Moira in advance) and the wonderful welcome by the lovely Eduarda, we knew we had found somewhere special. The property is everything you would want it to be, and well represented by the pictures. Everything you would need is supplied and having the balcony looking out on the flats and the pool one floor above, was amazing. Olhão is a gorgeous little town, with lovely restaurants, shops, etc and the ferry to the islands are not only a cool day out but also extremely inexpensive. Overall a real gem of a property and if you’re looking for a comfy and relaxing stay, then look no further!

Great communication with owners and the lovely lady who greeted us. This spacious apartment is in a wonderful position about 10 min walk along the front to the markets., a great balcony and lovely roof terrace with a pool. Easy parking. Well looked after and has everything you require in a self catering apartment. Would highly recommend

Great surpraise for all. The beachs off the islands it is similar caribean beach. all it is necesary too take a boat. The house it is very big for a familiy, Moira good for all the messages. These house very equipement for all, a lot of things too the kids for plays and see dvd. Thanks a lot , recomended these house.

The apartment was very well equipped for in-house cooking and host’s Moira and John graciously left us snacks and a bottle of wine for our arrival. We would certainly recommend this unit and location for anyone planning a holiday in Olhão.

We had a most enjoyable holiday at this apartment. Being of senior years this was perfect with a lift direct to the door, all one level with very spacious rooms and hallways. The apartment has everything we needed including wi fi washing machine etc. We enjoyed our daily stroll along the harbour to take coffee at one of the cafes and to shop for fresh fish a produce in the markets. This is a town that we enjoy revisiting even though of restricted mobility I find it easy to get about. Moira had said that we could opt for Tracy (apartment manager) to meet us at the airport and transport us to the apartment 'Wonderful ' service so much better than waiting for an hour or more for a hire car. Thank you Moira, we hope it won't be too long before we return

Every effort was take to make the apartment welcoming. The welcome food and wine basket was great. There are good facilities to cook.
