This lake house is everything described and more. It’s a true lake house experience, but with space to spread out, clean bathrooms, and comfy beds. Our group had a great time. Our advice: read the labels. They are a treasure trove of info.
Tiny thing: water pressure is weak. But it didn’t deter us, just takes a bit longer to shower.
And there’s no dishwasher. So we took paper products for meals. And lined pans with foil for easy cleanup. We did use the mugs and glasses, but they wash up fast. Just plan ahead. It’s the lake, after all.
The hosts are fabulous. Very welcoming and helpful. We highly recommend this house and would go back in a heartbeat.

We used this home as a quick last getaway before school started. We floated the river and did some school shopping. This home was perfect because it was NOT in the hustle & bustle of the city, but still close and the kids (and adults) could be on the lake while we were not on the go. We had 12 people in our group, kids and adults, and the home was perfect for us.

My family stayed at the house and we all loved it. It was right on the river and the owner provided paddle boards to enjoy our stay. The house was nicely furnished and had everything we could need. The owner thought of everything! We loved seeing the deer across the river and the cows across the street. It has a lot of well-maintained stairs which was my 2 year old granddaughter’s favorite part. Just be aware that it has a lot of stairs. Thank you for all the little extras. We had one minor issue but the owner contacted me immediately and it was fixed in a few minutes. We loved our stay. My granddaughter said it was beautiful and amazing!!

The Lake Haus was perfect for our family’s first river trip. There were 7 adults and a 9 month old. All the accommodations were wonderful, the house was beautiful and the owner was so wonderful working with us and accommodating all of our needs. A beautiful home!!

Four generations of our family stayed at the house the week of Thanksgiving. We had 9 people at one point and we weren’t cramped. It’s a cozy, older home with many updated amenities.
Being on the river was another reason we selected this property and it exceeded our expectations. A lot of thought was given to the outdoor living space and enhanced the peacefulness of the river.
The property is away from the hustle and bustle of the now very popular New Braunsfels and yet close enough to get there in minutes.
The owner was amazing, very responsive and he is another reason we would book again.

Loved everything about the Lake Haus!! Pictures do not depict how amazing this home is inside and out- they have thought of all the details, large or small to ensure a great stay!! Plenty of space and all the amenities you could think of- even though lake low, water still very enjoyable and loved that it’s private not like being in New Braunsfels on top of everyone- able to float, kayak and paddle board! Definitely check this Lake Haus out for you family!! 5 stars for sure!!

Loved the place! The owners clearly know how to live the lake life and we loved experiencing this little city in their place. Spacious for our all adult group but has all the extras for those traveling with kids too. It was easy to relax in this peaceful little neighborhood. This house was everything we needed it to be. It was clean, well kept and had space for everyone. The game room was great and there was a lot to do for everyone. The lake equipment was super nice to have and all the kids had a blast. We loved the mornings on the deck and enjoyed the views. The property itself is so unique- the kids loved the cows, quail and neighborhood cat. The house was well equipped and we had all the pots and pans necessary for cooking and preparing food. We highly recommend this house and will hopefully be back soon!

We had a fantastic time at the Lake Haus! House is wonderful and well taken care of and accommodated our group of 12 easily. The water is shallow but the addition of the lower deck made it easy for us to get in to swim, kayak, paddle board, etc. My girls loved getting to explore the river and the adults loved getting to hang out together on the large shaded deck. Great weekend in a beautiful home!

The kids refused to leave the water at Lake Haus at Lake McQueeney! We had an awesome time, the number of great beds and comfortable twin mattresses was really appreciated, and yes those blackout curtains work well!

We had a great stay over Spring Break. The house was wonderful, plenty of room and a lot of little extras. The owners really thought of everything! The view was awesome. There were even cows across the river, which you don’t see too often. Collin was very responsive and accommodating which made for a stress free and relaxing time. We would love to return for another visit later this year. Thanks for sharing your place with us!

Great central location for my kids and grandkids to meet for some last minute family time before school started. The property and owner were top notch and will be planning another stay. The night we did a pinata, my son proposed to his girlfriend of years! So glad to welcome her to the family at this beautiful lake house!

We had a wonderful time and the place is great for all ages. Very clean. Property manger was great with sharing and giving helpful information about the lake with our boat as well as leaving great information about the property and local areas to check out as well as resources. Amazing family trip.
Pictures don’t do this place justice. This is an amazing place to stay and had everything we needed. Even the stairs were great, my dad was able to continue his daily workout! We had a fantastic time and will definitely be returning! The hosts were great!

Fun @ Lake Haus
Everything we expected and more. Property is right off the river and has every amenity you can think of. Board games, jenga, smart tvs, water slide, shuffle board, cornhole, and so much more! Great for family/ friend gatherings. 10 out of 10! Spent everyday at the lower deck with large lounging area. Will definitely look into booking this fun house again!

Perfect Lake Escape!
We had a wonderful experience, start to finish. The homeowner is welcoming, accommodating and extremely responsive. The house has everything you need. I can’t say enough about the comfort of the master bed. The across the street neighbors are cows and calves. We loved waking up to those on one side and an incredible view of the lake on the other. The kayaks, stand up paddle boards and life jackets came in extremely handy. We will most definitely be back!

Perfect stay!
What a great place to spend some family time. Everything was awesome. Super clean and the host has left no stone unturned from the time you walk in the door. The house is set up perfect and the back porch and dock are even better. We will be back for sure and passing on too friends and family. The Host was amazing and made a perfect trip even better!!

There were so many options to relax. Whether it's being on the deck by the river, watching TV and/or listening to music on the back patio, to cooking any of your favorite dishes in the well equipped kitchen. We enjoyed our family spring break!

Great family getaway spot for the entire family- Thanksgiving 2021!!
The house was so big and roomy with lots of space for everyone to really spread out. The king size beds were so comfortable and everyone really enjoyed the views. The large table was the gathering spot for meals and family games, puzzles and conversations. The outside space was also a favorite for sitting in the sun, grilling, and enjoying outside meals. And the shuffleboard and Jenna was a real hit with the kids and adults too.

Family getaway
Fabulous weekend spent with our grown kids and their partners! So many comfy spaces both indoors and out between the upper deck and lakeside dock! We prepared all of our meals from Friday evening to Monday morning using the kitchen or gas grill! Spent the entire day in and around the water! Great beds and bathrooms, too! Quality family time ❤️

Great atmosphere
This was a great experience for our family. The house was great and plenty of space for all of us. The full size baby bed was a plus. We enjoyed swimming in the river and just hanging out. It was a short drive to Schlitterbahn and town for things we needed. The house is very organized and had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again if coming to this area. The owners were great and easy to communicate with.
