Comfortable beds. Pleasant staff. Lovely grounds. Smart restaurant. Very French.

Property not suitable for cyclists as it is between 2 fast roads, one a dual carriageway and the cycle to any of the cycleways is arduous and not pleasant. Maybe 40 minutes. No shops to walk to. No bar service til 6pm.

The scenery, architecture, courtyard and pool were lovely. Only 15 minutes drive into the centre of Saumur and plenty of local entertainment. Very high quality restaurant.

Breakfast choices were limited. Difficult to cool the room adequately in a heatwave. No walkable village or town.

great staff - good location and it's handy to have the restaurant on site, the food there was really good.

better indication when you drive in on where the guest parking is. it just would enhance the experience a little bit - was not quite sure where the main entrance was.

Beautiful old building, nice terrain, close to Saumur which is very nice to visit!

The bathroom was very dated, needs renovation.

Fairly good breakfast (but pricey). Breakfast room was attractive. Food in restaurant was good quality but affordable wines were far too limited in choice. Location and access were convenient.

Bedroom was basic, unattractive and dark, though bed was a good size and comfortable. Bathroom old fashioned with only a hand shower (no hook for hands free use), power socket and light over mirror non functioning. Wi-fi was flaky at times, so making ongoing arrangements stressful. Staff in restaurant not welcoming or friendly, leaving an impression of haughtiness.

The property is adorable. Just off the beaten path of the main town. Open areas and green! The beds were very comfortable and all the food was excellent. The staff was wonderful.

Everything was great except the bathroom in our room. The shower really needs to be replaced or seriously deep cleaned.

Our room was very humid with a very strong smell and spots on our door and lamps. We talked to the staff about this problem and they only gave us a spry to cover the smell but not to solve the problem… ?! Very poor and standard breakfast, no covid masks were worn ?!

Restaurant was amazing great service and the best steak I ever tasted

The Roulette was clean and comfortable however the pool area was not. Staff were sullen and unhelpful. Refused to give us an extra towel for the pool. For our evening meal, which we booked a table for, waited 45 minutes before anyone gave us a menu or glass of water. The food was good but the device was terrible. At the buffet style breakfast I didn’t eat anything because food was uncovered and there were flies around it. This style of eating during Covid seemed very unsafe. As I had prepaid for breakfast it was an incredibly expensive cup of coffee.
