The room was spacious

We arrived late and as soon as we entered the room a man came knocking at the door with a telephone. It was the owner who was literally ranting hysterically about our pet dog. We had booked and somehow the usual filter we apply for “pet friendly” seemed to have not worked in this case. She was completely angry and accused us of trying to sneak the dog in despite the fact that we took her to reception at the neighbouring property for check in. We were quite astonished at her rude, accusatory and aggressive behaviour towards us and she said she would allow us to sleep there but reassess in the morning as we had booked 2 nights. It was the most unwelcoming and uncomfortable nights stay. We met het early the next morning and she looked at the room (which was still perfectly clean) and demanded an extra €80 cleaning. We offered to leave if she would refund us the following night, which she wouldn’t. We asked about buying a coffee and she said go to the entrance at Plitvice lakes. She was standing near the so called restaurant area. This was incredibly inhospitable and unfriendly. We came back after lunch that day and immediately checked out and decided it was less stressful and unpleasant if we lost the money but had a nice experience somewhere else. I have never experienced such an unfriendly and unwelcoming atmosphere when I am paying for a service. Do not recommend unless you enjoy being shouted at. We did not intentionally book a place that hates pets and experience this awful treatment on our holiday, let alone the additional cost of paying to stay somewhere else. I suspect the rant will continue.

The nature is really fantastic and when you are alone without the other tourists you live moments of relax in contact with the nature...

The nature is really great, but during the high season it is full of people and all the costs are really to much high. All these aspects create a negative perception of the park; in fact, the paradise become a nightmare because of to many tourist
