I had an excellent stay at Guesthouse Vrelo oko. Djordje was very welcoming, friendly and was easy to communicate with. The guesthouse itself was comfortable, clean and had everything I needed for a few days stay in Trebinje and it was well located to the old town, a beautiful park and a supermarket. Djordje’s mother was also so lovely - even though I couldn’t speak the language, we sat together before my bus ride and had a beautiful coffee together that she had made. I would have no hesitation in recommending Guesthouse Vrelo oko to anyone going to Trebinje!

For a solo traveler an excellent place. Time to leave dorms for awhile. Basic small single room with own bathroom, fridge, sink. Big plus it has heat!! Can get cold in those Bosnian mountains. No self cooking thou. Short walk from bus station and supermarket very close. Also short walk to old town. But the bonus is the owner. This gentleman just a nice person and very helpful. Got in late an he came to pick me up. He will also be offering you some homemade “raki” which was great. Just a real homey experience with his family and one big friendly dog. Enjoy.

Incredibly friendly and helpful hosts. A lovely family with gorgeous pets! Excellent location - a quiet residential area, but just by the centre and an easy walk to the bus station and the good-sized and friendly supermarket next to it. Can run to and along the river path, including to the old bridge and past some pretty water wheels near the bridge. While Trebinje did not turn out to be a must-see, with no major sights, the people in the town are just so friendly and welcoming I enjoyed visiting. The room was quiet and had a heater. Excellent wifi. Cheap - excellent price for a private room.

It was cold! I turned off the heater during the night, but it got very cold, causing me to wake up a few times. There were only blankets on the bed. Sleep in warm clothes! The bathroom was cold. However, the shower had plenty of hot water, which was great. It was just a little cramped with the shower curtain billowing in and difficult to keep water off the floor. There was no kettle in the room. I had sent through my arrival time but had to wait 15 minutes when I arrived until some one turned up. This is okay - people are busy, and the host was so kind - but there was no sign and the picture on Booking.com (of stairs) wasn't very helpful so I wasn't sure if I was in the right place. I imagine it would be a very nice place to stay in summer :)

Well-equipped, clean and cosy room in a well-located guesthouse. The host was friendly and very helpful, giving advice on transport, local attractions, places to eat etc I really enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend.

The host was polited,and it was clean. The location was not bad,rather close to the center,but it was dark on the way to the house.

It was quite vold,the heating was not so good,not appropriate blankets,and it was difficult to close and lock the door. For the price,they could have offered more.

Even though I arrived late and wasn't sure I found the right house, a quick call settled everything and I was welcomed by a really kind woman. The dog was nice and playful too! I liked the cute room with a bathroom in the garden and felt really welcome. I would really recommend this place!

The only thing was that there was no sign to identify the house. Using the images online in booking.com helped.

I really liked that this place showed me again that Trebinje is an amazing city. This Guesthouse was quite close to the city centre: I could be next to the Platani in 10 minutes max or I could reach the main road in 5 minutes. I did not need to use the cab to go from this flat to the city. We even had the opportunity to watch the concert of the legendary musicians from the region in Trebinje. :) Also, I liked that this place was very clean and I had the scenic view in the garden at my disposal. I could sit below the fence made of grapes. The bench and the table outside were very convenient for me: I worked on my laptop a bit; I wrote and read.

I really enjoyed my stay at the guesthouse, very lovely family that always tried to help when I asked something. Fast Internet and a fridge ready for use made this stay very convenient

There is no street name and house number, very heavy to find. We drove an hour to found it ☹️ taxi driver can't find it. You have to put a name of apartment in front od your house. Very small and curvy street, not far from center but complicated.

I was given a small apartment with private bathroom and shower in the garden house which was very convenient. The air-conditioning is new and well functioning, a blessing in the heat, but the room is well ventilated at night. The garden is a pleasant place to take a break or socialize with other guests. The location is good for walking to the city centre and has a large supermarket close by - only there was no cooking possibility.
