We enjoyed this charming historic hardware building - it was fun to stay here so close to shops. It felt “homey” & we loved the decor with the antique tools and other objects. The Butler Pantry downstairs was a great first stop for coffee in the morning and last stop for cookies in the evening. If you have a hard time with stairs, that would be your only barrier to enjoying this location - 21 stairs to get to the apartment upstairs - for us, it was okay and worth the climb to stay somewhere a little different. :)

Property is very well located. Bike rental store is at the same address...we took a leisurely ride to the beach. Easy walk to downtown restaurants and shopping. Power in Saugatuck went out for a few hours our last night. I reached out to the local contact, but there were no flashlights or emergency lighting available on the property. We weren't too inconvenienced...managed with our phone lights. Would stay here again.

Loved our stay. The property is truly unique. It is in a perfect location to walk to the great shops and restraunts downtown.

Once we Arrived, the Air Condition in the Unit was Broke in the Rental. This is a very old space located on the 2nd floor, and it was 85 degrees inside with no air circulation. The fans that were left to help were old and full of Dust. Only 4 windows in the whole unit even open, so it was like an oven. We contacted them to let them know that this was not safe for our kids seeing my one daughter has asthma and they said there was nothing they could do to help. To make matters worse, they then were painting the exterior or the building and paint fumes were then coming into the space. It was terrible and nobody from contact list offered any bit of help during this terrible stay. We had no choice but to leave and find another space. Hopefully they will now do the right thing and refund the money. I would not recommend this place.

We absolutely loved the location. And we would love to come back and stay again however we do have to say it was not the cleanest. We were a little disappointed on how much dust and cobwebs were around. We realized we were probably the first guests of the season so we do take that into consideration, having said that we still were a bit disappointed that it was not clean upon our arrival. We did have to call to have someone come out and spray for wasps after we killed our 10th one flying around the apartment. There was also a bit of a problem with ants. He did come out right away and could not have been nicer so we appreciate that. It’s a wonderful location, it could use a few upgrades and a deep clean but it definitely is a great place to stay with a group.

Loved the property and it's location. It was clean, comfortable, and has a lot of character. Needs a privacy shade in the bathroom and the parking was an issue with all the private spots occupied. I suggest the tenant leave an orange cone like some of the business owners used. There were tow away signs but they were totally ignored so most of the time we had to park a few blocks away. Parking in general is a real problem in Saugatuck so I suspect most places to stay also have the same problem unless they have their own parking lot. Overall, we hat a wonderful time!

Very cute place. Awesome location but could really use a deep clean. Shower curtains need washing. Lots of cobwebs clearly the cleaning team never looks up. layers of dust on magazine racks in the bathroom etc. On the flip side... lots of charm and very unique.

Nice stay, able to walk everywhere. Items for future guests would be 1) The second bedroom has no door, just curtains. 2). Bathroom for second bedroom is upstairs. 3) 21 stairs to climb getting up to the loft. TV has a new Roku that we could not get to work. Called for assistance and still no luck. The instructions for check out include loading the dishwasher and starting a load of laundry. There is no dishwasher and no washer/dryer there. None of these items were a problem for us, just want to let folks know. We parked the car and never used it until we left. Highly recommend the retro boat rentals, that was a blast going down the river. I would recommend this place.

Quant. Could use a little more cleaning detail. Shower curtain needed cleaned. The sink spigot needed cleaning. As nice as pictured. Having code for entry was nice.

Stayed here with friends for a girl’s weekend. The apartment was unique and decorated nicely. It was located in a perfect spot for walking to shops and restaurants. I highly recommend it!

This is the second time we've stayed here and we love it! The condo is charming and spacious. The downtown location is perfect--you are central to everything. Since there were a couple of young children coming and going we appreciated the fact that the hosts had gates present to block the stairs. We would highly recommend this property!

We loved staying at your property; it was a great location; easily walkable to downtown. Only change I might make is to add more specific parking instructions to your check-in info email. When we showed up, the only spots available were marked for Old Hardware customers; it wasn’t clear that those spots were for us to use.

You cannot beat the location! Walking distance to everything. My friends and I stayed here for my 40th birthday celebration. The space was perfect for the 5 of us. Two full beds and a pull-out couch. Cute little apartment. Again, can't say it enough - the location can't be beat! Would definitely stay there again!

The apartment was very fun and exactly as advertised. Terrific location, and very close to town but far enough away to be calm and quiet. Can walk just about anywhere in 5-10 minutes. Very well equipped and quiet inside. Butler Pantry staff were very friendly and helpful. Definitely will be my first-choice next visit.

We loved the nostalgia, decor,location, temperature, comfort, town. The parking on the weekend required patience to wait for a spot. The postal police threatened to tow our car from handicapped parking on a Sunday across the street.

My family and I had the best time!! The property was sooo cool to stay in and had plenty of space for everyone to sleep. It’s located right in downtown Saugatuk off of Butler street where all of the cute shops are located. Super easy check in-check out process. We will definitely be back for future visits!

Celebrated my 50th birthday here. There was an issue with the sink so the owner opened up the adjoining unit for us to use. We had live Maine Lobster delivered to the unit before we arrived. Very convenient. Everyone slept comfortably. Overall a good experience.

The location was excellent as well as the quality of the linens and supplies. But the site listed that there was a twin bed as well as the queen, double and sofa bed, and there wasn't a twin bed. There were two sofa beds - one in the loft and one in the main living room. The tiwn must have been this fold up futon pad that belonged in a dorm room.

This location was perfect! Overall the listing was clean....however, we did find a pair of men's jeans above the Queen Bedroom's closet. Things to note here: This unit location does not have in unit laundry nor does it have a dishwasher. Ron was a great host and I would stay here again. Very close to all the action and a very short drive over to Douglas if you need to do anything over there.
