The stay at the Shanty on 5th was nice. The property was clean. The decor was very cute. I have no bad remarks in regards to our stay. It was lovely.

The home well decorated and is situated on a corner and close enough to walk to many locations, which is nice. Unfortunately no window on the property has anything more than a sheer curtain for privacy, no blinds or opaque curtains even in the bathroom and bedroom. At all hours of the evening there are people walking on the sidewalk which is within ten feet or less from both the bedroom and bathroom. At night, even with sheer curtains, anyone could see inside. The shower area of the bathroom has no light. To see anything at night in the shower we had to shower with the curtain open. When you step out of the shower there is a window with a sheer curtain and no blinds. We found lipstick on one cup (guests wash the dishes themselves and there is no dishwasher). Otherwise the property seemed clean.

We had a great time and would stay again. Everything was comfortable and cute. One suggestion, the curtains in the bathroom are gray sheer, and surely see thru at night, maybe not the best for a shower area? Otherwise will stay again and highly recommend.

Ok it's the only house I've stayed in at Hermann but I bet it is the cutest! The decor is so cute and girly inside plus a huge bathroom and we really appreciated having so many mirrors! Perfect location, we walked everywhere (or rode the trolley). The firepit was a nice relaxing place to sit and enjoy a glass of wine at the end of the night.

The house was very quaint, clean, and the decor is very cute. Becky was quick in responding to any questions we might have. It is located only a few blocks from DT which made it nice. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

We had a wonderful weekend at The Shanty on 5th! The colorful decor is so welcoming & the comforts details are much appreciated. We won’t hesitate to come back. Walking distance from everywhere in Hermann. Loved it!

Spent 3 nights over Labor Day weekend at the Shanty. The house is so cute, was very clean, and was perfect for a couple. The owner has thought of every detail possible to make for a perfect stay at the Shanty. We were also provided with so much information for things to do around Hermann, from times wineries were open and what bands were playing when, to restaurant suggestions, etc. Becky the owner was so helpful with anything we needed. The Shanty is within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants located in downtown Hermann. Was also walkable to several of the wineries located right in Hermann. For the wineries too far to walk, the Trolley will pick up right at the front door of the Shanty - just perfect. We will definately stay at the Shanty again.

Perfect little house for our stay to visit family in Hermann. Becky was great and helped make our mom’s 90th birthday special. Would stay here again.

Becky made the rental process and stay a complete dream. We also purchased the sweetheart package from her. And found the prettiest dozen roses when we got there. She kept us updated on live music and places to go. The house itself was way better than I expected and the pictures don’t do it justice. The neighborhood is quiet and well lit. And you are a short walk from downtown. Well worth the stay. We honestly can’t wait to go back.

We had a great time at the Shanty on 5th! It was everything and more as described online. It is literally within walking distance of everything! We were so comfortable with our stay. Great communication from Becky. We will definitely be back.

The Shanty was great. Close enough to walk the town, yet far enough away for it to be quiet. The place was perfect, and if we needed anything, I’m sure Becky would have been right there.

The "Shanty" was everything my wife and I needed in order to help relax for a couple days from the hectic pace of life. From the kitchen/amenities to the outdoor firepit/patio area it was a great setup to spend quality time and social distance from things. The location in town was well suited for many neighborhood walks and jaunts to wineries/restaurants. The cleanliness of the place really put it over the top!

Booking was easy. Becky was very helpful and kept in contact with us to make sure our stay was wonderful. We will definitely stay again.

Great place to stay. Clean, beautifully decorated, and close to downtown. Listing said sleeps 6 I would say this is better suited to sleep 4 or less. The king size bed was amazing and the pull out couch was great but would be too small for two adults. Thankfully we had an air mattress to use. Overall it's a great little place.

Everything, and I mean everything, was absolutely perfect!! We’ll be back!!

Despite the fact that we showed up a week early, the manager and owner were gracious enough to let us stay anyway. I'm glad no one had rented the unit during the days we were there as the house was just as advertised. Newly renovated, everything was well done. Perfectly located between downtown and Stone Hill Winery. Most things were within walking distance, although the rain prevented us from taking advantage of this. Overall a great stay!

The Shanty is a great place to stay. It's clean, close to everything if you like to walk, well furnished with lots of color. Loved it.

This house is perfect for a girls weekend!! It is decorated so cute and there are so many cute details, that it puts the house over the top. The pull out sofa was surprisingly really comfortable and worked great for our extra sleeping needs. Would definitely recommend!!

Becky was absolutely wonderful in helping us to make our weekend in Hermann the best it could possibly be! The Shanty is cozy and close to everything. Even in the middle of winter, we were able to walk anywhere we wanted to go. We did not take advantage of the trolley service this time, but will definitely do so when we return sometime in warmer weather! I can't say enough good things about Becky's hospitality! Thank you for working with us to make our stay happen!

This rental lives up to the hype and has far exceeded our expectations! Becky went above and beyond, and has paid attention to every detail of this house. It truly feels like a home. She has thought and provided everything you need to make our stay perfect. I would, without a doubt, stay here again.

Booked this house for my parents for my moms birthday and they had nothing but good things to say!!! Equipped with everything they could have ever needed. And my mom said she would absolutely stay there again!

Stayed this past weekend with two friends and we could not stop talking about how every little detail was covered with this new stay in Hermann! Sometimes functionality disappears when the effort is put to style but this place has both! Colorful and charming, exactly as pictured. This does have a ridiculously comfortable king size bed, a fold out queen, inflatable beds, and plenty of bedding and pillows. Games, adult coloring books, Bluetooth speaker that rocks, good sized TV, a full coffee bar with coffee selections as well as multiple syrups. The bathroom is huge; as one of my friends said, "she knew what she was doing here with this bathroom that is as big as the kitchen- plenty of room for women to get ready!" Lots of mirrors, slippers, loofas, bath linens, flossing pics, cotton discs, etc, etc. Toilet separated from sink and shower in it's own room. Easy street parking. Grill available. We went to the Loose Caboose Saturday night just a bit down the street and had a good time, yet no issue with noise later. We were able to walk to places on the main stretch and Hermanhoff winery without issues. Would love to get back to this place but I bet this will be hard to come by soon: going to be popular!!

Perfect house for a short weekend in Hermann. It had everything we could possibly need and more. The Shanty was super clean and full of color. We’re already looking at staying there again!
