We had a wonderful time . A big family vacation we got to see alot of Bears up Close and personal. enough space for everyone . I definitely enjoyed every moment

The pool table is nasty and sticky so we didn’t touch it. The arcade game you have to pay for which I believe that should be in the price. The dish washer leaked all over the kitchen it took us over two hours to clean up the mess. Then it rained and the basement windows poured in water took over half the night to clean up that mess. So I sent a video and a message to the owner and never replied to me and sent video for proof. I feel they should reply when your on vacation you should not have to stay up two nights to clean up a mess that can be prevented with some upkeep. Very very unsatisfactory for the money we spent I was nice about the dish washer but the windows were ridiculous I feel we should be reimbursed some money for our trouble. Very unsatisfied never again

We rented this unit due to the number it would hold. We were in Gatlingburg for the funeral of my Husbands Mother. OVERALL the unit needs a lot of maintenance & attention. Our family had several General Contractors present, there were many small items needing to be addressed. There were items of concern at the unit that that were technically dangerous. The bunkhouse had an EXPOSED ELECTRICAL OUTLET when we arrived and did our inspection. Previous reviews spoke of broken handrails, tabletops, a window. ALL OF THESE items are still an issue. Ants were a big problem in the kitchen upon arrival ! I had to call the owner from the driveway because we never received our morning call, she said our arrival wasnt on her calendar. OTHER REVIEWS said if the place was taken care of, it would be nice! And YES, the roads up to the chalet were pretty scarey, cant imagine the place in the winter or wet months ! I truly hate to leave this review for the owners but if they havent fixed all these SAME COMPLAINTS in nearly 2 years worth of reviews, maybe it sould be removed for rent and worked on in that time.

Really disappointed with the integrity of the house we rented. In need of upgrades and maintenance. Broken picnic table. Dining table tops not secure and will flip off. Deck in serious need of repair. Bedroom with duct tape covering the window. Ants invaded the basement bedrooms. Roads to house can be treacherous especially during fog and rainfall.

I don't recommend this place to anyone they put photoshot to all pictures this place was not clean as it should be and we never got help and got charged all the money didn't got a single discount. In short words don't stay here.

The cabinet need a lot of repair. For instance the window in the second floor need to be repair water get in when rain. The oven need to be clear better or get a new one. Also the microwave. Need more lights out side when is dark. The furniture out side need to be repair. Some of them was broke. It can be a great place if the update or fix the cabinet.

It was in a good location and had everything we needed

The rental needs attention. Handrail needs fixed it's not attached at bottom. Cleanliness of place was so so. The deck has rotting boards around hot tub. Could be a nice place with some care put in.

Extended family vacation in Gatlinburg - house worked really well for us. Equipped with everything we needed, it was clean and we enjoyed the arcade game and hot tub too. WiFi was not strong enough for any “real” usage … so don’t bring work with you! Got to see bears on a daily basis and enjoyed the surrounding area. Plenty to do. Great vacation!

While this place is ok it is definatly not worth what we paid. If I had a way to request a partial refund I would. The deck on this property is dangerous. There was nails sticking up and multiple soft spots In the deck near the hot tub. Also my 2 year Olds entire body fit thru the railings. The floor in the kitchen is sinking in near the stove and the kitchen itself can't have more then 1 person in it at a time because it is so thin. This makes meal times extremely hard with a large group. There was a broken window in one of the bedrooms that was tapped shut and we didn't have air conditioning the entire 1st day we arrived. The owners response to no air conditioning ( due to the system freezing) was that us turning the air to 68/70 caused it to freeze and that it needed to stay at 70/72 and to keep the house actually at that tempature during the day we needed to close the curtians in the living room. We where offered at 10pm to go to a hotel due to the air not working and that they would refund only the nights we didn't use. With 16 people that's not a easy task and while we looked we couldn't find anything to accommodate our party size we spent the rest of the vacation not enjoying any sort of relaxing outdoor view because if you opened the curtians during the day it would immediately raise the temp in the house to a uncomfortable 78 degrees or warmer. When we asked to have someone look at the system the next day I was told " because it was Saturday they most likely wouldn't be able to send somone out". We bought fans for the bedrooms because of the 4 upstairs bedrooms only 2 had ceiling fans and only 1 actually worked. This cabin should have access to 3 pools so on day 2 when we couldn't find our pool key we contacted the owner. Eventually after being told it was there then that the cleaning crew must have done something with it we where told to retrieve a key from another property to use while they figured out what happed to our key. They key ended up being in the owners car. They dropped the key while we were out and we had to return the key to the other property. The cabin itself was decent definatly needed to be updated while the living area looks like the furniture was updated the bathrooms are in need of attention. The bedrooms are very small we traveled with 2 small chilldren and had a significantly hard time putting travel cribs in the bedrooms. The furniture in the bedrooms was definatly warn and the "bunkbeds" were made of 2×4s.

Stayed here for my families annual trip. upon entering the stairs leading up to the main door were lose then by the main door the floor was broke and was starting to collapse. most of the deck felt weak to walk on all seems like a huge safety issue. looking more on the exterior the deck was not clean the hot tub took for ever to warm up. the window by the outside seating area was rotted and was falling/ pushing in. the outside play house was rotted with rusty nails hanging out. on the inside the cable didn't work at first turns out the main box was unplugged. could have been cleaner. The downstairs bedroom was busted allowing fly's in. we ended up closing that room off so the fly's wouldn't get into the rest of the house. if you wanna see bears it was a great place for that. but overall not worth the 600+ a night to stay. pictures were sent to the owner who seemed glad we brought up these issues and would issue a refund of some sort but looking back at reviews from a year ago the same issues were present then to. in the end spend the money elsewhere the place is not worth the money.

I do not normally do reviews (good or bad), but in this case there are some concerns I feel obligated to share. I will begin by saying that the property itself is in a great location, has tons of parking which is rare for Chalet Village, has several games to entertain guests and lots of room to spread out. The rest however, is not so great. The property owner disclosed upfront that there were some maintenance items needing attention, but they had not had an opportunity to address. Had it been something small, I would have easily overlooked it. When we arrived, we found a deck that was structurally unstable due to rotten beams. You could literally bounce on part of the deck floor-very scary and potential hazard! One of the basement windows was busted and had a softball-sized hole in it. Another basement window leaked during a storm, causing us to set a bowl out to catch the water. I shared both of the window incidents with the owner, she thanked me for letting her know but she did not offer to send anyone to repair either window. With bears all over the mountain, the busted window made some of us nervous. On the milder side of concerns, many of the cooking utensils, pots and pans were either broken or damaged which made cooking breakfast for 12 people interesting. The rack for the pool table was broken but we held it together and made it work. This property has major potential, but until there are some major repairs made, this place is a safety risk.

We enjoyed our trip but the rental property was not kept up with. The deck needs replaced bad! There’s several places where you can’t stand including getting in the front door. The frame around the windows need replaced because it’s rotted out and wood gone. One window downstairs in the bunk bed room is broken and the room is filled with bugs. There’s a bunch of trash in the laundry room and laundry room storage room. The little club house for kids needs replaced as it’s falling apart. The hot tub was dirty and didn’t have a top. There was trash all over the place outside. The beds were rock hard. And downstairs main bed frame was broken. The pool triangle is broken and pool sticks ends need replaced. We were told we get refunded some of our money but haven’t seen anything yet

We had very good time, it was perfect for family of 14 . Host response within minutes . Would love to come again and stay in same house .

We had an overall great experience at this property. It was very spacious and fit our family of 10. The beds in the listing say king size but they are queen. The beds where comfortable and we slept well. We had minor issues with the property like the porch need a little love and hot tub did not get hot. Jamie our contact person was great she contacted us before the stay as well as talked to us about things we was concerned about. Overall the experience was great. If you don’t want to be up the mountain this listing is not for you but we wanted the full mountain experience. We even got to see bears

Besides the sugar ants after we got them under control with spray, the cabin was overall awesome. We got to see bears, which excited my wife.

We had an amazing trip we loved the view as far as the cabin it could have been a little cleaner and safer there was a couple loose boards and we seen a few bugs but other than that it was very cozy.

Great location

This was probably one of the worst property we've stayed at with VRBO. It was absolutely dirty, there were no supplies in the kitchen or any of the bathrooms. The hot tub did not work, although maintenance did come out and fixed it that day and gave us some supplies. The laundry room and the whole lowe floor stinked of dead mice. Most of the furniture was old and torn. The foosball table has the return pipe missing, the pool table has multiple tears and is misaligned. There is so much promise in the property that some TLC can bring it up to 5 stars easily.

The kitchen was small And some of the gabinetes were broken. The video games didn’t work. We run out of hot water fast. The place needs a little improvement But over all it was ok.

There was lots of room for the family. It wasn’t decorated for Christmas but we did fine a Christmas tree in the laundry room. They was dog hair all over the living room rug. Didn’t have a vacuum cleaner to use. The kitchen was small. We run out of hot water fast. But over all it was ok. I would stay again if the whole family goes again.

Inside was very nice. But the outside of this house was a mess and the hot tub did not work and obviously no one had checked on the property and or inspected the property before the rental. I will never use your services again have a terrible day

While the place had the space, it is in need of some updates. We did have some issues, however the property manager did respond quickly to resolve the issues. We all had a good time in the area and even had some friendly bears visit us in the driveway.

We had an absolute awesome time. The drive to the cabin was scary for us Floridians use to driving on flat ground ,but made the experience more exciting. We did make the mistake of not closing the garbage lid all the way and had a mess to clean up from the bears ,, so make sure you dont make that mistake. The only thing that was bad about the trip was the sewage leaking down the driveway. It was stinky, and gross to have to walk through, or by to reach cars. Other then that we had the best time and would definitely stay here again.

We have spent time collectively to list all the problems we had with our stay. To begin with, the property wasn't cleaned and seemed to have been untouched for quite some time. Many inconveniences, time wasted, sleepless nights, and money we had to spend on our own supplies. These were used for cleaning and the traps we purchased to catch the multiple mice running around inside the property. I would like to have communication with the property manager, so we may submit the dozens of photos we took as evidence of the poorly maintained property. These were all taken and time-stamped 2Here is some of the problems we encountered: Used dirty paper towels in the fridge Broken kitchen drawers Broken dishwasher rack (no/broken wheels on the bottom causing arm not to spin) Multiple burnt out light bulbs Layers of dust on counter and table Bird poop on the couch and other furniture No internet after it was reported upon arrival and never fixed. Was told the owner needed to contact the internet provider. Never fixed or followed back up with us. This was important as it was stated in the rental and caused problems with not being able to work remotely. 3 Mice were trapped throughout our stay and may have been more Screws sticking out of the deck Not enough water in hot tub for jets Multiple leaks (the main living room in the lower level and back bedroom in the lower level) we watched the water pour in from the windows in the living room and our kids noticed it was leaking in the bedroom after their luggage became wet from sitting on the ground. Our bedroom contained a giant ball of human hair on the floor next to the tall dresser where we had to put luggage. The closet door in the hallway was only ½ on as one section was completely off the track. There was also a pothole about 6 feet from the driveway which was roughly 15 inches deep and caused one of our vehicles to bottom out while attempting to get into the driveway of the property. The property management group attempted to send a cleaning crew the following day after we had already addressed all the issues, so our family could stay the night as we already committed and paid the full amount. Partially the reason for not being able to send all the pictures we took is because we didn’t have cell phone service and there was no Wi-Fi working to send the pictures. With this lack of communication as promised and stated in the property description, we had extremely limited access to external resources.

This property is very run down. Was not very clean. We vacuumed the living room rug it was so dirty. Every piece of furniture was covered in dust. We had an issue with the hot tub and the sewage backed up. We called and did get a quick response, maintenance was there the very next day.
