Such a perfect space for our stay, love how tucked away this property feels but is so close to beach, pool, and gate.
The deadbolt is misaligned which makes unlocking/locking difficult

Nice property! Queen bed mattress didn’t work well for two people as they rolled in to the middle..
We purchased bird food so we could see some activity. That was fun.

I can't say enough about our stay! We have been traveling for many years and this is only the second property that I have found to be perfect. So beautifully decorated and comfortable. Loved seeing all the wild life around the lagoon and the beach. Will be back again!

Our stay at the cottage was just the quiet, peaceful and relaxing vacation that we were looking for. We spent hours on the back deck enjoying the birds and other wildlife in and around the lagoon, which is located just off the screened-in porch and deck. Virtually everything you need for a relaxing vacation is there — including beach chairs, umbrella and beach cart. Communication with the hosts was great and we were able to walk and bike easily to the beach and around the island.

Perfect cottage for four adults. Well stocked and tastefully decorated. A beautiful little corner of Kiawah. On a quiet pond site with very entertaining bird and wildlife including deer, jumping fish and of course, alligators.

A lovely and well-appointed cottage with excellent facilities, good kitchen, well-maintained. Back deck and living room face a small creek and abundant bird life. Beach is a ten minute walk (three minute bike ride) and it is gorgeous.
Cyclists should know that paths are not well-signed and not designed for long rides-- winding and cut by cross roads.

Ann was an excellent communicator and was accommodating in meeting our needs. The home was an excellent location for the start and finish of the Kiawah Marathon. Kitchen was well-stocked. Home provided for a wonderful week-end at Kiawah.

This property had everything we needed for our stay and was very clean. Location is great- quick walk to the pool or beach and easy to get to Freshfields Village for dinner or shopping. Serene getaway!
Beautiful home overlooking one of the ponds on Kiawah with screened porch and deck to see all the wildlife. Tucked away, so it's very peaceful but also a short walk or ride to the beach. Bring your bikes! Great trails all over the island.

We will be returning. Immaculate, well stocked, and great communication with owner. Really enjoyed sitting on the back deck, watching the birds, a doe with her two fawns, and listening to the quiet. Just what my wife and I needed. Thank you.

Nature’s Cottage
This cottage was great for 2 couples. It was very comfortable and had everything that you might need. Short walk to a beautiful Kiawah beach. We saw a variety of birds and an alligator floated by a couple of times. We would definitely stay here again.

Everything was wonderful!
We loved our stay in this villa -- it is beautiful and comfortable. We had everything we needed and more. The location on the lagoon is so peaceful and enjoyable -- really gives the feeling of Kiawah Island. We enjoyed watching the birds and other creatures on the lagoon. Everything in the villa is updated and so well done. We had a wonderful time.

A Wonderful Getaway
This was our first getaway in two years, and it was worth the wait. The Garris’ were gracious hosts and their cottage is comfortable and well appointed. We spent much of our trip lounging on the deck and screened in porch, watching the activity and fishing in the lagoon. Our boys had a blast and we made memories that will last a lifetime.
We are eager to return and hope to be able to very soon.

First Post-Covid Trip
The cottage was just lovely. Situated right on the bank of the stream, 200yds from the beach, and perfectly secluded. The cottage itself is exactly what a beach-side cottage should be, and with the homey touches of a B&B. A perfect place to get away from the world and relax.

Outdoor oasis
We had the most splendid time staying here. The home was lovely, clean and had a very remote feeling to it. We spent so much of our time enjoying the back patio and watching wildlife. The beach was a reasonable walk away, and the house came with everything we needed to enjoy a relaxing getaway on the island.

Highly recommend Garris property on Kiawah Island
Property was very comfortable and accommodating with everything needed for extended stay. Back patio over looking large lagoon is very tranquil and a beautiful setting. Their bird feeders provide opportunity to view numerous types of birds in this natural setting. Good location on island with easy access to beach, pool, and bike trails. Highly recommend this property and will definitely reserve it again on next visit.

Perfect Cottage
Ann & Hollis have thought of everything for this treasure of a home! The kitchen was well stocked with all the dishes, utensils, and cookware needed (we cooked many of our meals due to the pandemic); there were chairs/umbrella/cart for the beach; the beds were comfortable; the furnishings were classy but comfortable. Loved watching the birds at the feeders! Can't think of anything they need to add - and they were wonderful to work with! We were in the home for 4 weeks so talked with them a few times and they were always easy to contact and quick to answer our questions. We will definitely return!

Greenslake Cottage
This is a wonderful unit in a lovely location. It is very quiet, on a pond and an very active bird feeder for entertainment. Everything you would need and more is in the unit and it is spotless and updated. The beach is a five-minute walk. Check-in was well-coordinated. We would certainly stay here again.

Perfect Vacation Spot
We have been to Kiawah many times and have stayed in several lovely townhomes and cottages, though never the same one twice - until now! Kiawah Summer 2020
This was our family's first stay on Kiawah, and we were not disappointed. The island was beautiful and the cottage was situated perfectly on the water for morning and afternoon bird watching and the occasional alligator and deer sitings. Likewise, the cottage was well appointed, very clean, and a close walk to the beach. The owners are very responsive and helpful, and we would definitely recommend this cottage to all nature lovers. The cottage was great. We enjoyed relaxing on the deck and the varied wildlife. The area was very quiet and there was a great assortment of kitchen tools since we cooked more than normal due to so many restaurants being closed or limited.

The cottage is beautiful, clean, and has all the amenities. It’s very comfortable, and we had a wonderful stay on Kiawah. Waking up and watching the birds out back, biking the trails throughout the island, and enjoying some beach time made for a relaxing and fun vacation. We hope to return in the future!

This cottage was completely as described and equipped with everything you could possible need. Immaculate! We felt soooo at home.
We rented bikes and one of them was squeaky and looked around and, of course!, there was WD-40 type spray. Problem solved!! A wonderful getaway.

Everything we needed was provided and the property was immaculate. There were even fresh flowers and a handwritten note when we arrived! The birds were plentiful and the feeders provided a lot of entertainment during down times. Private and quiet, this is a wonderful place to stay!

BEST RENTAL EVER
Can I give more than five stars? LOVED everything about this place , and think it's even better in person than photos show: clean, quiet, comfortable -- excellent communication with owner, who also does what so many don't leaves clear, specific instruction for even mundane things like television operation (other owners take note)! Little touches everywhere: coasters, kleenex, etc. Just as I would have in my own home. Didn't want to leave and would love to return (hate to be so effusive as the place may be booked solid after this and I won't be able to get in again)!
