This is the second time we have stayed in this gorgeous suite and will return in the future. We love the elegant, clean, simple style that the suite is decorated in. It compliments the amazing view of the ocean and creates such a peaceful environment. The hosts went above and beyond in making our stay comfortable. There was a situation completely beyond their control that they were completely on top of right away. A water main broke down the street which meant we had no water for several hours. The hosts made us aware that the water was off before we even noticed in the morning and were at the door immediately with water for coffee. We were attending a special event that day and definitely needed water to get ready. They provided very helpful suggestions where we could shower in the community and offered to cover the cost. Even though the water main break was not their fault we were provided with a refund for one night. Thank you, John and Sarah, for providing us the opportunity to recharge our batteries and get some much needed rest.

Hard to pick a favorite part of our stay... The heated bathroom floor was amazing. The chairs and seating areas for outside were perfect. We were easily able to get in touch with the hosts and they were quick with answers to questions. They were also quick in cleaning after we left which was GREAT since I left my passport behind and they found it, and worked very hard to get in touch with us to get it returned. I fully intend for us to stay here again. I fell in love with Sydney and just being right on the water in this cozy home.

This place is absolutely amazing! Has everything you need and the location is prefect. So quiet and clean. We will defiantly be staying there again.

Having never been to Canada we really didn’t know much about the area. We just knew we didn’t want to stay in the city and we wanted near the water. Victoria is a short 20-30 minute drive. Sidney is just a few minutes away and is a charming little town with great restaurants. This place is a spectacular gem. The pictures don’t come close to doing it justice. It’s impeccably clean and literally a few steps from the Salish Sea. We enjoyed using the well-stocked kitchen and there were ample supplies of consumable items. They even supplied laundry soap and dryer sheets! We had such a relaxing stay and hope to return someday. While we didn’t interact with John and Sarah in person, they checked in via email to be sure we had everything we needed. Other reviews talked about the comfort of the bed, and they are spot on. Not only is the bed comfortable, you have a direct view of the water, making it difficult to want to leave! We napped, read books, and just found such peace in this amazing place. Top notch!

We absolutely loved John and Sarah’s oceanside unit. It was amazingly peaceful to sit and watch the tide come and go while seeing herons, eagles, hummingbirds and many songbirds we tried to identify with the field book they have in the unit. We can’t wait to visit again.

John and Sarah are the best hosts and their place is fantastic. Fully stocked with great finishes, comfy bed, about a 25 minute walk into Sidney along beach and boardwalk. But the best part is the view which cannot be beat. We saw otters and bald eagles and just enjoyed sitting on the deck. John and Sarah are totally available if needed but also leave you alone if that’s what you prefer. They were the loveliest hosts and we can only hope to come back!

The facility is spotless and has everything you could need. Good kitchen, comfortable bed, great shower and the view is unbelievable. Hosts are available if needed but give you all the privacy you could need! You have the entire downstairs floor to yourselves.👍

Wonderful waterfront property, wiith gorgeous views of the bay. This studio suite was well equipped for short stays as well as long ones. John & Sarah were awesome hosts. We will be back for another visit.

This studio was open, spacious and clean. It is right close to the waters edge with direct access and an amazing view. The kitchen is well equipped. The bed was very comfortable. The hosts live upstairs and are very helpful if needed. The only improvement needed would be having cable TV available, not just some streaming. Overall, it is a great place to stay. Highly recommend!

This is seaside living at its best. A very well planned suite equipped with everything you need to enjoy your stay, complete with a very comfy bed. A pleasant walk along the beach to the quaint village of Sidney, and when the tide is out lots of beach for beach combing. John and Sarah are very good hosts. We enjoyed our stay immensely.

This was a wonderful place to stay - a terrific location, private, and quiet (except for the geese). The owners were very welcoming.

This beautiful suite is less than 50 feet from the waterfront with every amenity you will need on your holiday. There’s easy parking and as it turned out, great storm watching! The kitchen is outfitted perfectly and we felt right at home. Our hosts were easy to reach and concerned about our comfort.

The booking went smoothly and the place was just as seen in the pics- lovely and serene. Very clean with everything you could need. A self- contained suite and owners will share info or just leave you to yourselves. Totally recommend this place!

Like previous guests and in these uncertain times I needed to quarantine after travelling in from England to visit family and was concerned about how that would feel. This was a perfect little spot and totally lived up to expectations. John and Sarah went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. Everything was as described. The kitchen is well equipped, the bed immensely comfortable, the apartment beautifully laid out to take advantage of the outstanding views. It was light and airy but instantly cozy on cool days with a lovely log effect fire. I could sit and watch the ocean from my bed in the morning and move around the gardens range of seating areas to eat, read, sketch, stay in the sun and watch the wildlife go by. I have taken an excessive amount of photos of sunrises and moonrise’s as they were so incredibly beautiful from this spot, not to mention the pictures of both Mount Baker and Mount Rainier and a variety of wildlife. The two week period just flew by and I was actually sad to leave! I don’t hesitate to recommend this property and hope to come back myself at some point in the future to take advantage of the potential for going out on the water. I would love to be able to kayak round the bay and see more of the area 😊

Everything we needed was there. In addition, grocery and wine delivery was convenient and readily available. Our hosts were kind, generous and very professional. We cannot express how lovely this location is and how much it changed our two week quarantine from a chore into an opportunity to enjoy nature, be surrounded by beauty and comfort. We both feel revitalized and our lives were enriched by the whole experience. Thank you Sarah and John for offering this lovely property to VRBO. We plan to stay with you again in the future whenever possible!
