I arrived the day after the hurricane. Even though I had no power the whole week, it was awesome!! The view of being on the water every morning was amazing! The owner got me a fan and a battery for the evenings. And a cooler of ice so I could keep some things cold. The suite is very well played out and beautiful! I had a great time!

This was the perfect place for a quick 2-night getaway. Really artsy and eclectic. Comfortable and clean. Right on the water.

I truly loved this property from the moment I saw the pictures until I saw it in person. However, there was such a SWARM of mosquitoes, we could hardly retrieve the key out of the box.
Once we did get inside, the studio again was darling. Just my eclectic, hippie style. The problem was going outside. We couldn't! We could not sit outside and enjoy the water, or sit at all the groovy little vignettes that had been set up. I love that stuff!
We could barely get to our car. We had to spray ourselves down and spray the car down and drive away with all the windows down to get the mosquitoes out of the car.
Sad to say we will definitely not be back. I'd like to suggest that something must be mentioned in your description about mosquitoes. Maybe suggest malaria shots? cw

Here for a short two night visit. Enjoyed the view and all the nice amenities. Studio was nice and clean and had everything needed. Will be back!

Super cute studio for a couple! Very comfortable and relaxing. The only thing missing was a pier to sit on. We really enjoyed the property.

This was the perfect place for what we needed- a quiet getaway with amazing views, and the eclectic artistry shows you something new every time you look around the room. It was far enough away from the party beaches to be able to relax and enjoy the evenings, but close enough to go into Galveston to hit all the touristy places if you wanted to. Cathy was always communicative in a short time with any questions.
The only negative I could think of (which really wasn't one) was sharing the space with the top floors- you might have to share the outdoor spaces. I guess that will depend on the people that are there at the same time.
All in all, we will be back. Thanks Cathy!

Comfortable and relaxing. Loved listening to the ocean sounds and watching the Pelicans and gulls over the water.

My stay was peaceful, restful, soothing to the soul. I loved the fire pit, the swings, the closeness to the water, the storm windows with screens that led the outdoor sounds and sights in but kept the bugs out.

Wonderful Place!! Loved it! Pictures do not do it justice. Owner pays attention to every detail and it feels rejuvenating staying there. Clean and the linen smelled so nice. I loved it being so close to the water.. the breeze and ocean sounds made it all the more special. Studio 101 is decorated with artwork and cozy. The outside areas are also decorated with artwork and the setting of each area is so nice! I can not say enough about how wonderful the owner is to communicate with! My husband and I had a great time. I highly recommend and promise you will not be disappointed!

The lovely little studio was absolutely perfect. You can't be the views of the water right outside the door. There were so many little places to get sun, get shade, have a drink, read a book, or to simply relax and enjoy. Everything in the studio was perfect and exactly like the pictures. San Leon is a cute little town with plenty of restaurants, bars, and things to do. Plus it's a short drive to Galveston or Houston to enjoy many other activities. Loved it and can't wait to book again!

This is a very unique property to say the least. It has a very warm and welcoming feel to it and the owners of the property were a pleasure to deal with. My wife and I went down for our anniversary and enjoyed looking out over the bay from the multiple decks on this property. We went to the local restaurants in San Leon and had some of the best seafood either one of us have ever had! Short drive to either Galveston or Kemah and just a great spot to stay.

The beach house was spotless. It’s so peaceful hearing the waves and watching the ocean right in front of you. The owner is awesome to deal with. Great restaurants near by. Definitely will be returning!

Travel time from downtown Houston was about 45 minutes depending on traffic, but the drive was so worth it. This property is a one of a kind! Amazing views, super clean, easy to get to and the decor is a must see. Cathy definitely has a knack for creating inviting spaces. She was also a super host and responded within minutes when we had questions. This property is also super handy for a quick trip to the Galveston area. If we ever return to this area, we will certainly return to Cathy's little piece of heaven!!

Wonderful Weekend
Communication with Cathy was great. She was very prompt with all of her responses and up front about some work they were having done on the property. Which btw, did not impede the view or stay at all. The studio was very clean and tidy and the room itself was so interesting. Everywhere you looked, you saw something interesting or a thoughtful touch that would enhance your stay (i.e. essential oils). The outside has plenty of places to sit or lounge and the views did not disappoint. This was a very relaxing stay and we plan on going back.

Awesome Great Wonderful
There is nothing I would change! Everything was perfect! I wish I could take Cathy and Dwight home and have them decorate my place! In fact, I’ve asked my handyman to go, and make lots of notes. He has agreed, and will be taking the 12 hour drive there later this month. Dwight has graciously agreed to show him everything. We will be back whenever we can.

Artistic beauty
Great place to stay! The decor inside and out is amazing and the grounds were impeccable. We can't wait to go back and relax at the Water Front Studio.

We absolutely loved our visit to Cathy and Dwight’s place. They went above and beyond to make our stay special. From the anniversary banner for us (it was our tenth anniversary) to the fresh eggs and muffins for breakfast it was perfect. Gorgeous views. Beautifully decorated. Cathy was so helpful on things to do and see. The only improvement would be a fishing pier. Lol. This place is perfect. If I’m doubt just go ahead and book with them. You won’t be disappointed. I’d give it ten stars if I could.
