A lovely place to stay in in a beautiful rural location. Reallly peaceful but only a short drive to Kenmare (or proably a 30 minute walk if you are lucky enough to be there when it isn't raining!). Big kitchen and living room with full height windows make it ideal for a family or a group of friends, Good contact and information from hosts (including a call to say that it was ready fro early check-in, which was appreciated). Topped off by a lovely neighbour's dog which made herself very at home with us.
The water pressure in the showers was fairly weak, so not ideal if you are looking for a power shower. I don't know if that is a regualr thing, but definitely not a deal breaker, and I would very happily go back...in fact my sister wants to nove in permanently!

The atmosphere was truly amazing, very comfortable and very spacious with a lovely little fireplace.

it was very unique and in an ideal setting. it had everything you needed we wish we could have stayed longer. Chloe was an ideal host made sure everything was ok for our arrival.

Rock lodge had a beautiful large living space in an amazing location. Owners were very friendly and eager to help. It was a very comfortable stay with plenty of space for 6 adults. It is even bigger and nicer than the photos and brilliant value! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a getaway!

Location and views.
The comfort of beds and quality of duvets made for a good night's sleep.
Near to Kenmare
The property needs some real TLC and a deep clean. There were cobwebs and one bathroom was full of hair in the shower tray.
The showers weren't working properly. The shower off of living room was unusable as it was like cracking a safe for the temperature. Wouldn't recommend for a child.
Certain provisions weren't provided as said in description.
Need tools for the log burner as none were provided.

The house was near to kenmare . The kids loved the neighbours dogs and the walk down the road to the lake was lovely

Scenic location.
The house had not been cleaned properly. There were cobwebs and dead insects in corners, empty ciggerette packet outside a bedroom window and the wood burning stove had not been cleaned and there was an empty baby wipes packet left in it. Photos of this sent to hose after our stay. The bedrooms are very small. One bedroom window had no curtain at all. Most bedroom curtains are not light proof. One bedroom has a roof window with a blanket affixed, I guess to block light, but it is not effective.

The rock lodge was quite unique and quiet. The interior is lovely and the kitchen is really modern and spacious. We loved being able to sit out on the balcony at night and get visited by local dogs! The living room was really cosy.
The cleanliness of the property could have been better. The shower off the living room was mouldy and the other shower did not work . There was a good bit of rubbish left outside on the grass and loads of bird poo in the back entrance. Vacuum also did not work. Not much storage available for luggage.

The size and location
Property was excellent size for a family of 6 but it could have done with a thorough cleaning. There is no brush for sweeping the floors.
Apart from that we had a great time

No supply of sanister, not much space for sitting outside, some bushes are blocking scenery,
