We wanted to take a late summer family vacation, and hadn't previously spent much time on the west side of the state. There were 10 of us, including 3 children and we were looking for a place that had a sufficient number of bedrooms, dining table for all 10 of us, and was in walking distance to everything. The Avery Street Beach House was everything we wanted and had plenty of room for us all to gather together, read, make puzzles and play games. The home was as advertised, beautifully kept up, well stocked with everything you need, and very comfortable. The kids enjoyed the backyard playground, outdoor games, and the beach which was just a short walk away. Shopping and dining was close and plentiful. The property manager, (Michael) was responsive to our questions, very organized, and provided everything we needed. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a really nice place to stay with friends and family, in a beach town.

Terrific property with plenty of room for our three generations. The Kitchen is large and well-equipped, the large deck is great for grilling out and the game room was a special treat for the family. Check in was a breeze and Michael communicated well ahead of time and during our stay. Great location - a block from the beach and a few steps from Bunde’s Bakery (yum!).

Beautiful property conveniently located close to North Beach. Walkable to South Pier and Downtown South Haven. Home has everything you need for a family vacation, from kids to adults. My favorite place to read and relax was the side porch. While the kids loved the swing set and gaming room!

The entire experience exceeded expectations. The house and location were perfect for us.

This house was perfect for two families and one of our parents. It lived up to and even exceeded the expectations set from the pictures. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend this house to others.

What a great weekend getaway! The location is a very short walk to a beautiful sandy beach, with volleyball courts and kayak rentals. The house had everything we needed - and a few things we forgot like seasonings and ice. I highly recommend this property - very easy check-in and out, very clean and well stocked with fresh towels and linens. I would stay here again!!

Cannot emphasize enough how wonderful the stay has always been at the Avery and this time was not any different. We needed a getaway from the city amid covid restrictions, and the house was a great place to enjoy outdoors and to simply spread out.

This home is beautiful! I and four friends stayed here for a girls trip and it was wonderful. The home is beautiful, clean, has great amenities, and is in a great location, a block from the lake. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Highly recommend!

We really loved our vacation! The walk to the beach is as advertised, "short". Everyone from ages 5 - 65 raved about how nice the house is and how close the beach is. Can't wait to book it again, next year!

The house was perfect for my entire family. Enough rooms and bathrooms for my husband and myself, our three adult children with their children!

This house was AWESOME. Huge and had all of the features you could want in a vacation rental home. We had 11 people and it never felt crowded and we all had everything we needed from the start. The bonus game room/garage was a nice surprise and I could imagine spending most of our time out there in the summer. The kitchen was perfect for cooking our giant breakfast and everyone was comfortable in their rooms. We stayed in the off season for a winter festival and it was the perfect location for walking downtown, but hearing the lake told me that we NEED to book this house in the summer too. Michael was extremely easy to get in contact with throughout the stay and before arrival. We even spoke with the neighbors who had nothing but nice things to say about him as well. We can’t wait to stay again!

The Avery is a great spot to get away and get together with friends and family any time of the year!

My friends and I started renting The Avery in 2009…this was our 10th year! You couldn’t ask for better a location in South Haven. Lake Michigan is a 2 minute walk and downtown South Haven is less then a 10 minute walk. If the weather isn’t accommodating, enjoy a game of foosball or ping pong in the new game room. The house is decorated tastefully and has plenty of room for everyone. We're looking forward to our 11th year at The Avery

My family did a long weekend at the Avery Beach house. Although the weather during our stay wasn't "beach worthy", we still had the best time. The front porch gave us the PERFECT spot for a lightening show as a big storm rolled in. Once the weather cleared, we were one block away from the beach. There are also several playgrounds (including one in the back yard) nearby which is a bonus with having nieces! To that point the house provides plenty of space for a big family weekend and you can even if there is a party in the kitchen - those sleeping upstairs wont hear it. With its location, cozy yet spacious layout, the house is perfect. My family has been going here for years. OH! There is also a new game-room with a tv, Foosball table and ping pong - let the games begin!! Highly recommend this rental property for any large group/family to stay for a get-a-way. Can't wait to go back!!!

Very comfortable and welcoming. Ten members of our family have been coming here in the fall for six years for cool, quiet walks on the beach, apple picking at Crane's, short trips to surrounding towns and catching up with each other. Lots of room to read, make puzzles and relax. We love it.

The Avery House was absolutely wonderful! The location is great, and the house very comfortably accommodated our 3 families. And Michael was very responsive to all of my questions. I highly recommend staying at the Avery house!

12 of us stayed at the Avery House for New Years weekend. The moment we walked in the door we were impressed and knew we picked the perfect spot to ring in the new year. It's even better than the pictures! Everything was very clean, the kitchen was fully stocked, the rooms were a good size, great layout, and the location was great. We wanted a home with spacious community space so we could all be together and the Avery House did it! Michael was also very easy to get ahold of and checked in perodocically to make sure everything was to our standards. Thank you Michael for a great stay! We will be back! Happy New Year!

Large home that accommodated all our family members-- nine of us-- very comfortably. Well located for lots of activities in South Haven and surrounding areas. Nice vacation choice.

This is an incredible home where attention has been given to every detail to make your visit enjoyable. The layout is great with lots of big bedrooms and more than enough common space to hang out and make memories. Lots of windows that provide an abundance of sunlight. Michael made renting and arriving a joy. I would highly recommend. We will be back!

We love South Haven! And we especially love this house, and wish we could live here full time! Every room is beautifully designed and so comfortable to live in. I love cooking here, I only wish my own kitchen was so well appointed! Steps from the beach and the river and all the beautiful views that SH has to offer, and just a quick walk into town. We will be back!

What a terrific weekend! The Avery Street Beach House was perfect for us. We have been getting together… a group of girlfriends once a year. This was the best place we have ever been for our reunion gathering. The house is even better than the photos show! Thank you Michael (owner) for all you do to make this place SIMPLY WONDERFUL!! My family of 14 has stayed at the Avery Street Beach House for the past 6 years. I hope I never have to go anywhere else!! The house is so spacious and comfortable. . . the two big king bedrooms are key, as we usually have a couple of babies whose pac 'n play cribs fit easily. . .the kitchen fits all of us for fun, fun dinners. . . plenty of pots and pans and baking tools. . .the porches are key to some of our most memorable evenings. Four full bathrooms!!! They are sooooo well equipped with fabulous towels. . . lots of storage, as I like to put everything away. . . decorated just so nice. . . and I know they probably don't have to make it so cute, but it is! The newly finished basement and extra refrigerator added a great new space for us. The location is perfect!! Walking distance to everything. . . beach, shops, town. . . the driveway has hosted some epic "bags" tournaments. Our last three Christmas card photos were taken on the very photogenic porch. . . I should probably stop, but I could go on. . . thank you sooooo to our hosts!!

It was conveniently located to everything, especially the beach! There was more than enough space to accommodate our large group. The house has been gorgeously renovated with high end finishes but is still cozy and comfortable. The large kitchen and living spaces were perfect gathering spaces for all of us. The owner responded immediately to any of our questions or needs. Everything was wonderful and I cannot recommend this property enough! It will not disappoint! Can't wait to stay there again!
