I took my 70 something parents and my 20 something kiddos and we had a wonderful time. Everything you need for the beach is provided including lush beach towels and boogie boards. Friday night Fireworks can be seen from the balcony. Location is excellent.

Our group really enjoyed this place. It was well stocked, a lot more spacious than we expected, and location was in a perfect location for walking to lots of great shops, restaurants and of course the beach! Best of all, says the kids, was the private pool!

I am very disappointed to have to share our terrible experience with this property. I stay with VRBO quite a bit and all of my stays are typically very routine and positive. This location however was just picked up by a new property management company and they were not very friendly or accommodating. It began with about 24 hours prior to check-in (we booked the property 3 months prior to travels). I was contacted by the new management company and told that things had now changed and I would need to submit certain paperwork or I would not gain access to the property and that check in would also now be one hour after listing time on the property listing. This was a huge inconvenience since my family and I had already arranged travel plans for the next morning and organized estimated arrival time. I hurried to submit the required paperwork first thing in the morning so my family and I could gain access to our property as planned but an hour later. When I expressed this frustration the new Management company simply stated, "As I explained before, since you booked things have changed with the owner hiring us to manage the property." Thankfully we still were able to proceed with our trip as I was worried that they would end up canceling our reservation altogether. After leaving the property, the management company said 4 beach towels were missing and I would be charged for the towels. I have fully unpacked every single item from the trip and let them know that our family did not in fact accidently take any towels off the premise. After following up may times to get this resolved with no response. The management company just stated, "I think someone has the wrong count. We are charging you for the amount of 4 missing towels. Thank you and goodbye." This us an unacceptable way to do business. Although the property owner seemed very nice, I would not recommend having to go through the headache of dealing with their new management company, Blue Ocean Vacation Rentals.

Overall this property was great. We had the pool to ourselves the entire time amd it was nice and warm. Having 3 full restrooms was great so multiple of us could take a shower at the same time. Having tvs all throughout the house was great. My main complaint was that the upstairs bedrooms are listed as a king size bed and a queen size bed. However the queen size was actually a full size bed. My kids tried sharing the full size bed, but it didn't work out. So we had to switch things up. This would be the only reason I would not book this property again if the same 6 of us went. If it's only 4 of us, then we definitely will. Thanks again for having a pool at your property, it really was the best part!

Our son is home from college for the summer so we brought him down to SPI to celebrate his birthday and spend time with family. It was a perfect getaway. Perfect location to the beach, stores, and restaurants!

Spacious and very clean home for our large family with plenty of seating. Fully stocked kitchen and comfy beds. Beautiful private pool and nice balconies. Great location. Walking distance to restaurants, grocery store, and beach access. Property manager provided quick response. Looking forward to booking this location for next summer.

We had a wonderful stay in this property. It was very clean and organized. It had everything that me andy family needed for our mini vacation. We need not use some of the things we brought for the beach because they have it availablefor us to use. The location is perfect for us since it is close to the beach, to the bookstore, ice cream store, pizza place and souvenir shop. We loved our stay so much that we are planning to rent it out again in the future.

The home was clean and tidy. Only the downstairs bathroom had soap products so we had to buy some products. That was the only minor issue. Plenty of towels in all three bathrooms but guests should bring own beach towels. Pool and hot tub were great. Very short walk to the beach. Downstairs is great if traveling with elderly or handicap who can’t use stairs. There’s a handicap access beach ramp a block away w great parking if the block walk is too much. There is a small apartment attached to the home w long term lease but we didn’t really see them and never had issue with sharing the pool area - they never used it. I’ve stayed at fancier beach front homes that cost way way more, so I thought this home was great for the price point. I did have to call the manager on the day of check in because had not received instructions for check in. There were also no check out instructions so hopefully we did ok with that. I’d stay again.

Our family stayed here for close to a week. Great house, very clean and roomy - we had a ton of space to spread out and a great upstairs living room we used for board games at night. 5 minute walk to the beach was wonderful. Ana was easy to reach and responded very quickly to any questions or concerns we had.

If you are looking for a nice getaway to SPI, DO NOT STAY HERE. If those last four words haven't changed your mind, let me enlighten you about our stay. When we walked through the door we noticed that the home does not adequately represent any of the photos listed for the property. The home DEFINITELY needed some TLC. The walls, cabinets, couches and floor were filthy. We spent the entire evening sweeping and washing all of the bath matts, because there was sand everywhere. We had to cover the couches with towels because they were disgusting! Looked like the owner had never stepped foot into the house. We notified the property manager and she offered to have house cleaning come and take care of it, but we had already finished cleaning at that point. The pool was also dirty and she did have someone come clean the pool the next day. Despite all of that, we wanted to enjoy ourselves in what was supposed to be our *OWN PRIVATE HOME WITH A PRIVATE POOL * (that was under the property description when I rented it) but we had been fooled. The next day around 3 pm the property manager told someone else was checking in. Checking in? This was supposed to be a private home? That's what we payed $2,600 for 3 nights for. (Ridiculous, I know) We thought there was some kind of mistake. But no. We had no idea there was a separate apartment attached to the house on the side. A family of at least 10 had checked in. Talk about FIRE HAZARD! Besides that, the owner completely breeched our contract and refused to answer any of our calls and text to address the situation. The only response we received from her was to tell us it was" too late to cancel" . At this point we were furious. There were no curtains or shades to the back yard/ pool and the other family could see directly into the home. There was no privacy what so ever. The property manager felt so bad for us but there was nothing she could do except give us the owners number. After hours of trying to reach the owner, (who mind you, lived at SPI) and still no word from her we decided to pack up and leave in the morning. ( A day early) All we wanted was our money back. Rightfully, since she breeched the contract. But still nothing to this day. Our stay was supposed to be from 7/8-7/11. And if that still didn't change your mind, VRBO does not care about the situation or their customers. On the phone with them for 3 + hours only to get hung up on. Still haven't received a refund. Please rent local.

It was a great way to celebrate my 50th birthday

The house was perfect for my family and I. We really enjoyed the pool. It was also great that they allowed dogs as we had to bring our 2 dogs. Ana was VERY fast at responding and making sure our stay was as pleasant as possible. We would definitely stay here again and we highly recommend this property.

We discovered this property last summer and rented again this summer. Such a great place to stay for families and we plan to stay here again next summer.

My family stayed at the property a few days and we had a great time. Loved that the property was so close to the main street. Just a short walk to the shops, restaurants, fireworks, food trucks, etc. I had a few questions before the trip and Ana was always quick to respond. She was even so kind to bring by a new blender when she heard the previous one was broken. The pool was clean and the barbecue pits were a plus!

So this was our third stay, and we still consider this our SPI home away from home. It is clear the owners have continued to make improvements over the past year. While the location was good before, it is even better now that the whole bar/restaurant/gravity park/live music scene is going again only a few blocks away. Unless something changes, we will definitely be back again!

I read & re-read all of the reviews before deciding to book. The short & sweet of it was that while there's some things I wish had been better, for the most part, it's a really great rental. We were a family of 5 & our fur babies. The pool & hot tub in the back were PERFECT for us. The foliage is really beautiful, too. I wish there had been a cabana or at least an awning in the back to protect us from the morning & evening sun, but we just slid our chairs back & forth depending on where the sun was. I also wish the backyard balcony had had furniture. The location to the beach was great though! Literally a block from Beach Access 7 where you can get chair/umbrella service for $30/day. The house itself was roomy, with the plus being a bathroom for each bedroom. The bedding was a little outdated, some blinds were nonfunctional and there were some updates that I personally might've made, however nothing screamed "don't rent this place ever again" and it would definitely deserve a look when booking again. I think my only real complaint was that I wish I had had a guide book that a lot of rental owners supply with their rentals which would let me know that the trash people come on Mondays, as do the pool cleaners, where the closest grocery store was, etc etc. There WAS one to instruct on pool & hot tub use, which was pretty necessary because a lot of people in the reviews seemed to struggle with heating one or the other or both. My husband is good w/pool equipment though so we didn't have issues. Other than those few things, we think the house will fit most people's needs. The owner was responsive when we reached out and most definitely responds quickly while you're staying there. It's only been a week out, so we haven't gotten our deposit back yet, but we tried to leave the house picked up & as clean as we could, even though the owner said we didn't have to do anything. The 4-star rating only has to do with the upgrades that I really think would make this a 5-star rental.

Our family was able to reconnect and spend time enjoying SPI. It was a lovely property with a beautiful back yard and pool. It was really relaxing. Everyone had enjoyed themselves even our dog!

This house worked perfectly for our family. It was super close to the beach access and we absolutely loved the pool and hot tub. We brought our dogs and the backyard worked well for them too. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your wonderful home!

The floor is concrete, which was great for our pups, and coming in from the pool/beach. Upstairs was a nice hangout spot as well as the other 2 rooms. I loved that each room has their own bathroom with shower. The backyard was beautiful with tropical flowers. The pool was great as well as the jacuzzi. We used the heater for the pool, and it kept both warm. They pool lights up too! I will definitely be coming back here!

This property was not clean at all. There was clothes from the people before and there were brown stains on a rug in the restroom. The pool was dirty also. My 2year old daughter diaper leaked on the bed and now there charging me a $200 fee for that when there beds should have a protectant slip cover on them. This is a ridiculous property that over charge. Its very outdated and is not even clean and they want to rip me off of my deposit. Just waring you all DO NOT BOOK! WASTE OF MONEY!
