Our family travels a lot and we always prioritize 4 things in this order of preference when it comes to hotels / apartment rentals. 1- Location & Safety, 2- Comfort & Amenities, 3 - Cleanliness, 4 - Staff / Customer Service. This apartment exceeded all of these requirements with good or better ratings. First, the location was amazing! The apartment is on the top floor of a historical building that overlooks the Duomo with direct access to a MASSIVE outdoor terrace. Yes, the pictures are real and the view is absolutely stunning. One of the biggest highlights of our family's trip to Italy was the view from this apartment. Second, the beds are surprising comfortable! We slept well in this apartment compared to the numerous other cities we stayed at during our journey. Third, although old and quite small, there is a working lift / elevator that will get you and your luggage ALMOST to the front door of the apartment. However, yes, there is one last set of stairs you must walk up, but this is Italy and if you're traveling here you should be capable of navigating at least a few steps one other thing of note related to the final stairs is the staff was SUPER nice and offered SEVERAL TIMES to assist with getting the luggage up the final stairs (although we declined). Lastly, we stayed in July during the height of a heat wave. Outdoor temperatures easily exceeded 37C / 100F and the apartment stayed nice and comfortable the entire time, never getting hotter than about 22C / 72F. Bottom line is we had a great experience/ stay and would gladly recommend.

The only thing we didn't like about the hotel was the lift / elevator. It has nothing to do with the owner, but we noticed because it is vintage that on more than one occasion tenants would not close the doors to the car, causing it to be held at a certain floor until someone would come by and close the doors completely so that it would operate. Again, this is completely outside of the apartment owners control and nothing that we hold against them.

The central location and the outstanding view. There is an area of terrace reserved for the apartment from which you can access the communal area. The staff were charming and helpful enough to provide a mosquito repellent although on this occasion were unable to resolve the issue of the dishwasher.

The dishwasher did not work. The sink overflow leaked. I couldn’t get the coffee machine to work. There was no drying up cloth. There is no toaster. What I found most frustrating was the poor design and layout. There is nowhere in the bathroom to house toiletries and yet vacant wall space for shelving. There is nothing to place baggage on despite having room for a bench in each bedroom. No bedside table in the second bedroom. Plastic plants cluttering other useful storage space. The table and sofa would work better reversed and the small kitchen area is wastefully designed in its use of restricted space. I didn’t mind the old fashioned lift at all but the final flight of communal stairs were filthy like entering a Medici prison.

Really good apartment. There is inside everything for comfortable stay, clean and nice. Amazing view in the terrace. Friendly staff, can help to resolve all issues❤️ Perfect location, you can reach to all famous places in 10-15 minutes on walk. Recommend for everyone 🙂

The best view of the historic centre of Florence and of course of the Duomo. The apartment came fully equipped and furnished. We had an amazing stay and would definitely book the same apartment for further trips.

The view and location were fantastic!

The elevator left much to be desired. Probably not appropriate for people with mobility issues especially the steep 16 stairs after the elevator. The apartment comes with nothing just half a roll of toilet paper. Change of towels and linens should be automatic after 2 days.
