We couldn't have been happier with our stay at #emcasa. Ronnie and Timo have created the most beautiful place to relax and recharge your batteries in the most beautiful spot in Portugal. The attention to detail shows how much heart and soul has gone into this gorgeous boutique guest house. Every little detail has been thought about and more. The interior design of the room shows what an amazing eye for styling that Ronnie and Timo have. There was fresh drinking water and a Nespresso machine replenished daily. The toiletries in the bathroom smelt amazing. Every morning we were spoilt by the lovely breakfast served. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff there. There was so much offered for breakfast that we never went hungry! There is a twice weekly dinner at an extra cost which we enjoyed one evening and it was wonderful!

What an absolute pleasure it was to stay at this little gem. Ronnie and Timo were excellent hosts and one can tell that they love what they do, in all the thoughtful details everywhere around the property (the beautiful traditional wool bed spreads, the little nooks of relaxation at the shared living room and around the pool, the beach basket that they prepare for guests with a beach umbrella and towels, etc). The breakfast was the best we've ever had in booking.com property, our room was swiftly cleaned and ready once we were done eating... in a nutshell, book here now and enjoy a wonderful stay at #emcasa!

Just a comment to help future guests make their plans: #emcasa is the last stop of a hilly street (this guaranteeing a great view from the property!) but that means that you will absolutely need a car to move around (to go to the beaches, restaurants, etc).

Everything! Absolutely everything about this place is perfect and you can see there was thought about every detail there. The design, the honesty bar(with great wines), the perfect breakfast, the snacks for lunch, the views, the comfy bed, the great smell of the sheets and the scent around the hotel, Ronny is the best and his team are the nicest ever. I could stay there all day without getting out anywhere. Thank you !

Our 6 nights stay at Emcasa cannot be summarized in google comments. It was perfection. From the guesthouse studied design, to the pristine pool, the attentions of the hosts, to the food they serve. Everything was up to the standard you expect from a boutique guesthouse. It is fashionable without loosing the cosy and familial atmosphere of a guesthouse. We even had a massage! The garden, preserved with craftsmanship, has a breathtaking view on a forestry valley covered with eucalyptus trees, neighboring some vegetables fields… Perfect place to relax and discover this interesting region of Portugal.

There are no words to describe this beautiful and quality place. Everything at the highest level. It is a place that respects the guests. The room, the Gonnier Suite is furnished in a modern filter, with state-of-the-art equipment. From the decoration of the bathroom, to the balcony, and the special plants. The breakfast is special with the highest quality ingredients. The service is wonderful !!! And owner Roni hosted us exemplary.Thanks! We will definitely be back again.

This was my one of the most amazing places I have ever stayed. Ronnie and Timo are fantastic hosts that know how to make your trip special. The attention to detail. Wow! The dinner and daily breakfast were incredible! You have to do the dinner! It was paradise and I never want to leave. Thank-you for making this trip so special!

There’s hardly anything to mention that wasn’t good. Small detail, tv is not perfect placed for viewing from your bed, but hey why watch tv

What an unforgettable stay at #emcasa. This small boutique hotel felt private, premium and really like home from the first moment. The owner Ronny and the staff were so friendly and helpful. As the guesthouse has only a few rooms, we felt like we had the house, pool and common spaces to ourselves - with amazing breakfast and attentive staff. The rooms were beautifully designed and furnished, with a view over the pool and the beautiful landscape. Small touches like the common bar, which operates by a "trust system" and really affordable prices, felt cozy and thought through. We were four friends traveling on this trip, which worked great with 2 rooms and nice common spaces. The guesthouse is close to Areia Branca, which is a really sweet beach village with nice restaurants and easy surfing. I definitely will return next year!

We really loved everything. The only thing to be aware of is that the beach is a far walk away nor are there any places to see walking distance, so you need a car to get by.

Super friendly owners, excellent service, when we went surfing bags with towels and water bottles were left at our door, a night we wanted to stay in there was a netflix guest account in the room, the interior design is beautiful and full of design items, there was a lovely balcony in our room. Breakfast was truly outstanding and there was a self service bar with excellent wines and liquor. Also a beautiful view from the swimming pool and rooms. In other words we loved loved loved our stay and would love to come back one day!!

The location is already worth a visit, located in the nature with the view over the valley, and the beautiful house, garden/pool area and very lovely room interior. The very kind & personal service by Ronny, Timo and the staff made this really a special experience. We stayed for one week and already decided to come back! We also loved that the house is located in the nature but Lisboa and other places are not far. I eg drove by car to the many beaches to surf such as Baleal, Santa Cruz, etc. We can highly recommend this place!

The location is a bit distant, but also very calm and has a great view on the forest and hills. There is no buffet breakfast and each guest is treated separately, which is great. It's a superb place for meditation and city getaway, I would definitely recommend staying here on a way from Lisbon to Porto.

It's a pity that ocean is not visible from the guesthouse itself, almost if some trees could be taken away to enjoy the great view, there's also no direct access to the beach, although it seems it is not too far away - perhaps a 20 minute walk.

11/10 for the hosts. We had a wonderfull stay. Top location, great tips, we felt like kings. Definitely coming back! Tip: Foz restaurant and use the bicycles to visit a wonderfull beach. Worth the effort! Thx for the birthday cake!

We spent a relaxing 5 days here and would happily return. The rooms are furnished to an extremely high standard and the breakfast is the best we have had in Portugal. The hosts are very helpful but not overly intrusive. Would recommend to friends

Unique place in a magical setting. Very clean and bautiful rooms. Delicious breakfast!! Best of all - very friendly and helpful hosts. Not only did they make sure we were comfy in the house but they also gave us great recommendations for what to visit and wherd to eat. So much to see and do in this area of Portugal!
