My 11yr old daughter and I stayed here and it was prefect. The host was so very helpful with directions, places to eat and fun things to do. We would definitely stay there again.

The house was very cute, as pictured. We arrived late after traveling all day and Milo took us around back to the guest house and went over everything in the house. He was very friendly and talkative but we were exhausted and just wanted to get ready for bed. Having a book with all the information on the house would be a geeat option. I had also texted the number to let them know we were arriving but Beth had the only cell and she was at a different location that didn't get good reception. Milo did answer the house phone quickly when we called though. Milo was very friendly and came to our room almost every evening when we got back to see if we needed anything and offer suggestions for what to do and give us fresh oranges off the tree. I traveled with my 2 adult daughters and they were a little creeped out by it, but i think he is just a really talkative, friendly guy who likes to get to know people. If you are wanting a no contact kind of stay this is not the place for you.The neighborhood is really nice but out towards the busy road and overpass is pretty sketchy. So if you want to do any public transit I would take the blue bus, it was very nice and goes right to the beach and you walk through the neighborhood to get there. I am not sure if the hot tub works. You have to have Milo turn it on and when we asked we had a miscommunication about it so we never used it. The beds were comfy and place was clean. What a wonderful property!!! Tucked away in Beth and Milo's backyard, next to the pool and spa, this is a comfortable, quiet little oasis. If you enjoy meeting property hosts, you will really enjoy staying here. Milo was the host with the most! He gave us amazing recommendations for food close by, prepared the spa for us and sent us on our way with fresh-picked oranges. A very memorable experience indeed!

We came to visit Santa Monica Pier. I was with my daughter and her friend. This rustic little place was clean and comfortable. The check in was very detailed. Milo is very friendly and proud of his home. This cottage is in the back yard behind a main house. Depending on your taste this place may mot be for travelers who like privacy or little to no interaction with their host. My daughter and her friend enjoyed the hot tub. Milo came to check on them several times and told them some good stories. They said that they felt they were vacationing with Milo.

One of those unique gems that exceeds expectations. While the pictures are accurate, they don’t do the place justice. The setting and architecture whisk you away to the European countryside and make you forget that you’re in the middle of Los Angeles. I’ve stayed in the English Cotswolds and this cozy cottage would have fit right in there. In addition, the owners Beth and Milo were more than hospitable and made sure I️ had everything I needed for my stay. They couldn’t have been more accommodating and flexible. I️ have stayed in dozens of rentals - this has been my best experience. I frequent LA often and hope to revisit this cottage as soon as my travels allow.
