Could not contact the hotel for a late arrival and when I arrived the place was in darkness. I had to return to Cairns for accommodation, so stayed in Cairns both nights.

Dirty. Dead cockroaches under bed. Spiders & webs on ceiling & walls. Bar fridges freezer had spills frozen in it. Communal toilets were dirty with no paper. Staff were not overly welcoming. Myself & my Brother have bed sores? We have red welts on our bodies. We also had belongings stolen during the night. I have messaged the property wanting a refund.

No breakfast, I went to buy cake I was there Saturday and they sell cake from Tuesday very disappointed
I arrived there 5pm no organised our name is not there list we show our booking he went upstairs and get our list and he told us our room is broken aircon and he said we move room 8 to stay for Friday night and Saturday we go back our room no one come I went next day and the boy is confusing he doesn't no what is going on. Very sad

It is close to the railway station.
The ceiling fan in room 5 needs to 🧽 cleaned 🧼 as the fan blades are caked with dust…cobwebs and dust. 👀 Looks like the fan hasn’t been cleaned for some months/years? 🤢

The bed, it was like a rock and the pillow didn't help. My only complaint.

Good location. Toilets were clean.
On my second night, I found a cockroach (alive) inside my pillow case as I was resting on the pillow. I couldn't sleep well the whole night as I became paranoid of insects and bugs. The beddings could have been cleaner. The pillows could have been better.

Food in the restaurant was good, and there was off-street parking at back of hotel.
We asked for a room at rear part of the building to reduce noise from Bruce Hwy, and we did get it.
Bed was ok, and sheets were clean.
Room was very small, with no window but with two doors. Thin walls do not provide enough privacy as we could hear whole conversation of guests next door.
Brownish stains on toilet seats were off. Whole place shows aging and not enough care and on-going maintenance.
