Interesting experience to sleep in a place within a shopping arcade that is situated above a coffee place. I was the only guest that night and had the whole place for myself including the dorm room. There are shared utilities including a room with a low table and microwave to heat up food. Everything seems new and also very clean. The area is also very quiet so good place to get rest!

As with many Japanese houses (from my experience) the showers are always on the ground floor. I'd rather have it close to the bedroom and jump in but it seems more of an architectural choice and not necessarily something the owner can do something about. I can also imagine that with more ppl in the room (as it is a dorm) there is not much privacy as you sleep on futons on the floor.

The futon was comfortable with brand new linen. Apart from that I wouldn't really know what I liked about my stay.

The upper floor with the bedroom and the toilets is fine. The shower though is very much beyond its lifetime: the tiles in the shower have lost their color (or even turn brownish) and the wallpaper is falling off. The same goes for the staircase and the corridor, they have to be renovated. Comparing to other hostels in town, this one is definitely not worth the money. And check carefully when you book, somewhere hidden below it says that you have to pay an additional YEN 300 of service fee. Nobody knows what this service fee should be for and I mean this is a 10% increase of the price that you thought you'd pay. This is bad customer service. I wouldn't go back at all. Maybe that's why on top of all this, I was staying all alone in this rather creepy place that cannot even be locked properly.

Perfectly clean, spacious.

Was hard to find at first as we arrived too early and the town was so quite and the gate was down. However, there's an amazing restaurant around the corner where we waited to after 4 (as well as fabulous yakatori for dinner down the street) and we had the place to ourselves after check-in. Feels like staying with a kind friend in their spare apartment—no frills at all though amenities are provided and with towels and a hot shower and nice big room and comfortable clean floor beds. Feels quite and safe. Was great fun in the end.

Easier to find on arrival. Clearer instructions on opening times. Welcome drink after the ride would have been welcome but was not necessary as we found a great pub down the street so it was fine for us.

Got a feel of staying in traditional kind of room.

I found little difficult in finding the room, as it was inside a cafe.

The staff was friendly, and the cafe + vegetable shop atmosphere was very nice.
