The view and accommodation was stunning. The host is even more wonderful, so kind and welcoming.

Clean, spacious, well maintained accommodation with all the facilities one could ask for from a self-catering cottage. Pacem has the most beautiful views, is perfectly located in a quiet suburb and a stones throw from the iconic Grotto beach. Malan, the owner is a pleasure to deal with!

Prof Malan was such a wonderful host and so helpful and friendly. He was waiting for us when we arrived and gave us the full tour before handing over the keys.

Nothing - this spot is an absolute gem!

The house was very big and comfortable to stay in and suitable for two couples or a family with kids. The kitchen had all the necessary equipment including washing machine and tumble dryer for clothes. The layout is double story with the beautiful views of the sea and mountains from the kitchen and lounge area and balcony. In house braai facility was available making it great to use when it is too windy outside. The owner also went out of their way to make an earlier arrival possible and to collects as from Hermanus West after a long walk from Grotto Beach to New harbor.

Although the upstairs lounge and kitchen give you wonderful views of Hermanus it was an issue to climb the stairs to get something quickly in upstairs, like coffee in the morning. Other than that nothing else and a younger family than us may not be bothered by the stairs.

Superb location at the foot of the mountains and merely a stone's throw away from the beach.
