Found towels on the small side.. Found the bed on the small size. didn't quite go with the size of the room that had been described as a king size room. TV could have been a bit bigger.

Everything. The room was fantastic, exceptional clean, fantastic decor, and facilities second to none. Not forgetting the amazing Victoria sponge 😍. Breakfast was also fab. James and Andrew are very welcoming.

The breakfat was very good, plenty of choice and cooked to perfection. The artwork and interior design was very tasteful and enjoyable. Very easy access to shops and restaurants.

Lovely dining room and breakfast was delicious. Lots of choice and really hot toast cooked at the table. The service was excellent and they provided alternative milks at our request - thank you. Good choice of hot food and cooked to perfection!

Everything about our stay here was excellent, from the crisp white sheets, the homemade cake and the tasty breakfast. The proprietors were both friendly and professional and there were so many extra personal touches in the room - we would definitely recommend this b&b and stay there again.

Cleanliness - AMAZING

Beautiful decor in the room

A lovely gust house in a quiet residential road, we were welcomed by Andrew who greeted us and booked us in speedily and efficiently. The room was lovely and well appointed with a super view over the garden. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom lovely. Breakfast was a delight and although we only had fruit the cooked options looked delicious. The garden was quiet and peaceful too.

The bath was difficult to get in and out of as it was rather too deep. My wife thought the toilet was rather higher than standard as she found that her feet were off the floor when she used it. I would have appreciated a table to go with the comfortable chairs to have my cuppa at rather than sit on the bed. Also it would have been nice if more than one window opened for additional ventilation.

Beautiful boutique hotel style rooms. Every little thing thought about, which made for a very enjoyable and relaxing stay. Would recommend Alton House very highly.

We were made to feel very welcome by Andrew and James and our accomodation and breakfast was first class. Our room and bathroom was surprisingly large, tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable and made using quality bedding. Alton house is a lovely home that has been refurbished to a very high standard The location was very good with a level 5 minute walk into Sheringham. Parking is very convenient, being on the driveway. We will definitely return and highly recommend Andrew and James as hosts and Alton House as a great location when visiting Sheringham.

So close to Sherringham centre and beach. An amazingly warm welcome, with freshly baked cake. The attention to detail is fantastic. A wonderful breakfast every morning with lots to choose from. Recommendations where to have our dinner. In short both Andrew and James run an incredible hospitable B&B, where your stay is so comfortable, you really won’t want to leave.
