The complimentary breakfast was very good. There was a pipe burst incident on Friday night and we could not take a shower and it closed the Pool.

The second room was clean, the lobby was clean, and it was conveniently located to downtown Farmville and the wedding we were attending at a nearby state park.

There were significant mix-ups by the hotel without any reimbursement. We had driven from out of state for a family wedding that my husband was officiating. More than a month before the wedding, I modified the booking from 3 to 2 nights. However, my credit card pre-authorization was for 3 nights the whole weekend, which was stressful. We were also checked into someone else’s room, which was dirty with stains on carpet and upholstery. The next day, 1 hour before we had to report to wedding site for family pictures, the hotel realized their mistake and made us move rooms. The second room (also not the one meant for us) was nicer. Overall we spent way too much of the wedding weekend stressing about the hotel’s mixups and very inconvenienced right when we were trying to prepare for a milestone life event. Not the best hospitality. Which was disappointing because I love Holiday Inn Express usually!!!

I like the location and the staff was very friendly

Water was running in the toilet, and we had to fix it inside the tank multiple times. We also had to request for housekeeping multiple times. The outside lot area had food plates and condiments packages on it for days without anyone cleaning it. Not sure if they have someone come out to clean the lot but it was not a good look.

The location was great. The room was very clean and large enough for the three of us. The breakfast was great and there was a lot to choose from. The front desk people were very nice considering the hotel was completely booked. I would definitely come back.

The sofa bed only had sheets. The room temperature was stuck on freezing and the thermostat wasn’t working to adjust it. The body wash and shampoo dispensers were empty.
