COVID kept us from anniversary vacation last year but dusty and Lori more than made up for it! They made us feel more than welcome and made everything perfect. Could not have planned a better place!

Cannot say how much we enjoyed our stay here. The owners were amazing, especially Lori. The cottage is as described and they made sure that any amenity you could think of was there! It was such a pleasant surprise to see how much thought they put into our stay. From the wonderful gift basket to the stocked medicine cabinet, everything was top notch. We could relax and enjoy ourselves rather than have to worry about what we didn’t have. I recommend this place to anybody looking for a quality experience. We will be going back for sure. Thanks for sharing your beautiful place with us!

Hands down, the most pleasant vrbo experience i've ever had. Everything was exactly as described. Along with tons of sweet details i didn't expect. Exceeded my expectations in every way. Absolutely loved it, did not want to leave! Can't wait to go back! :)

I read rave reviews about this cabin and the owners before booking and they were spot on! Arrived to a personalized welcome note and basket of goodies from Trader Joe’s which was a really nice touch. Couldn’t have had a better experience, thanks Lori and Dusty!!!

Great space for a couple who wants to get away. It had everything we needed just to relax and enjoy ourselves.

It really was a great getaway. Cabin was clean and well stocked. Near the lake and boat ramp. Enjoyed the fire pit and peaceful neighborhood. Perfect place for a couple or small family. Would definitely stay again.

Lori is amazing! Everything (and I do mean that literally) you could possibly want was provided. The property was immaculate and the neighborhood was very quiet. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat. It’s a hidden jewel!

Cabin was better prepared than a five star resort. Everything was perfectly maintained and organized. Incredible hosts and property. A must get away spot to slow the daily grind. We will be back! Jim

I was looking for a place for my husband and son (14yo) to get away for the weekend. This property was the PERFECT choice. Dusty and Lori really go the extra mile for their guests! I don't want to give away any of their secrets, but those of you who have teenagers in your life will probably click "book" within 60 seconds when I tell you that my son texted me "this place is so nice, and these people are so nice." Truly, this is not like other places we have rented from...they REALLY REALLY care about how their property looks (it is CLEAR they maintain it well), and that their guests have what they need to enjoy themselves. Their communication was so good (via VRBO messages, texts, documents they emailed ahead of time, etc) and they also recommended a great place to rent a jet ski (which my guys had a fabulous time on). My guys had a great weekend away, and that is due in a HUGE part to Lori, Dusty, and their uber-clean, uber-organized house.

Dusty and Lori provided a great experience for the 4 of us. The house has everything you could need except for meals which was a nice touch. It was extremely clean which is important during the time of COVID. The place is minutes from the lake and has board games and a fire pit to keep kids entertained. Definitely will be staying here again.

We had a wonderful experience staying at "The Getaway". It was easy to get to while still feeling secluded. Dusty and Lori have thought of everything that you might need and their place was VERY clean! It was perfect for our family of 4! We were able to easily rent a boat slip at the nearby Mill Creek Marina and was an easy drive there and back each day, sometimes more than once each day. While there, I did have a question and Lori was so quick to respond and accommodate us! We highly recommend their home for anyone who is looking to stay in this area!

Awesome location on Texoma Lake. Striper were biting early in the day and we were able to find some late afternoon shade on one of the nearby islands both days we were on the lake. This property is the perfect place to go back to after a long day of lake activity. So accommodating plus a serene setting amongst the trees. Can’t wait to get back!

We had the most amazing family vacation. Our absolute favorite vacation yet. Lori and Dusty are the most fantastic hosts. The Lakehouse is soo beautiful. Nestled in a sweet wooded area. They have thought of it all. Gorgeous mornings spent on the porch, natural light pouring in the windows and evenings spent roasting s’mores around the fire. Everything was soo well thought out. All the fine details were soo appreciated. This truly is a gem!!! We will absolutely be back!!

Just wanted to tell Lori and Dusty thanks for the quick responsed and great lake house, the kids love it and cant wait to go again. Even though we really could have a plan due to school work and video chats but with the help of the homeowners and ALL the info layout and places around the area we got out and enjoy our time away from the city and mostly the kids being kept inside for weeks. Thanks again and will be back soon for sure!

My family and I really enjoyed The Getaway. Perfect location close to the lake! The cabin is clean and very very comfortable. We had an exceptional Easter weekend to say the least! Thank you, Lori & Dusty for being such great hosts!

This is my second time staying here and I have to say; the property owners have got to be the nicest people you'll ever rent from. The cabin is cozy and even though it was December and not exactly lake season it was still a perfect retreat. The open living room with multiple windows gives a very spacious and calming feel. The owners have amassed a very nice collect of books&games and are very giving in that they always leave a welcome basket for their guests; it'd be an understatement to say the owners treat their guests great! Thank you!

One of best experiences in a VRBO!! Owners were amazing to work with and the property was beautiful and just what we needed. Pictures do not do it justice, it is paradise. Since we didnt know the area, we were a bit sad the lake wasn't closer, but really we didn't care, the house was all we needed. Highly recommend!

The property was well maintained and the neighborhood was safe. My contact with the local people seemed to be well friendly and helpful in finding directions.

Property was very clean, tastefully decorated (Lake house decor) and lots of extra touches throughout the house that made our stay there very enjoyable. The kids loved all the board games to choose from and the hammocks available (plenty of trees to choose from also). We also set up the provided tent near the porch and used the cots available as well.. our boys wanted to do "real camping" in a tent while the adults preferred to sleep in the cottage so everybody was happy. Also enjoyed grilling out and roasting marshmallows around the campfire. It's a little far to the private beach/lake, you can walk there (which we did to check it out and because we wanted to explore the neighborhood) but if you have coolers and chairs with you, prob better to drive as there are hills and it's a bit of trek. Overall, had a great weekend and enjoyed our stay.

First let me say that our hosts were absolutely amazing. They knew were staying for my birthday and they left us goodies and notes. They were just so completely thoughtful and kind! The house is amazing. Everything is beautiful, simple and put together tastefully. They thought of everything you might need. We wanted for nothing. I would truly recommend this place to anyone. Complete 5 stars all around

Everything was perfect,, really handy having washer and dryer on property...

This cabin was absolutely perfect!!! Loved all the windows, loved, loved, loved the wood burning stove. The cabin was so clean which is hugely important to me. Everything you needed for a cozy, get away from it all for a few days stay. Wish we could have stayed longer!!

Highly recommend this property. Lori was a great host with our group. Cabin has all you need. We will be booking this cabin again. Very clean, close to the lake. One of the best places we have booked.

Very clean, cozy place to stay! I stayed here for 3 nights during a Bass Tournament on Lake Texoma and everything was beyond my expectations. Dusty & Lori have been great hosts and I highly recommend their accommodations!
