Over all the house was clean and nicely furnished. A few steps to the beach. The area is dog friendly. Beach is pet friendly and well maintained. Would book again

The Leaping Doodle was fabulous! So quaint and cozy; has everything you need for a relaxing beach week. Extra dog friendly too - dog bowls provided. Our son was stateside for a few weeks and got to stay with us due to proximity to the base. Highly recommend and we’lll be back!

We enjoyed the quiet restfulness, the charming decor with cheerful beach colors, the cool air conditioning during summer heat; the 5-minute walk to the ocean, and being a short drive to restaurants, shops and a dolphin cruise! We were thrilled we could bring our dear family dog with us to this pet-friendly rental with fenced yards in the front and back. We would definitely love to stay as guests again.

The interior is cheerful and well organized. The location is amazing — on the beachside, an easy walk to a beautiful, uncrowded, wide beach; across the street, a pristine forest with cedar-lined walks. Ideal for dogs.

The backyard was disgusting and full of flies. We were unable to enjoy it at all. The outdoor shower was rotted and the floor was about to break so we never used it. If the owners perhaps used some rent money to reinvest in a backyard, it would be better.
We found a cockroach crawling up the wall where our daughter was sleeping. She ran out of her room screaming. We contact the property owners and they gave us a partial return of our money but acted like we were being unreasonable. I am sorry. I draw the line at disgusting bugs like cockroaches.

The property is by an extremely busy highway type road. You can not leave your dogs out in the fenced in areas due to 1) HUGE multiple poison plants growing all over front of house (unless you are ok with poison oil on their fur and you petting or sleeping with them and you get poison and 2) "backyard" is full of dirt and sand so we walked our dog for bathroom. Did not want to be in the "backyard" as it is dirt and sand all over with multiple ants everywhere climbing all over the table and chairs. Beds were so so & "furniture" in living area is wicker sunporch type decor, not comfortable after long days walking, etc. The owner had the audacity to send a bill on check out day to try to charge us $300 for after check out saying garbage left "all over" and "pizza & marshmallow" in microwave. A maid fee is added into the total cost to stay at this place along with other made up fees so trying to charge me an extra $300 is 100% absurd. Nowhere in the listing does it state about "a mess" or "place should look exactly as it did when you checked in." There is a maid fee and maids for a reason. However, I had 2 loads of wash in of their towels, towels put in front of wash and dishes run in dishwasher and yet it wasn't mandatory. Anyone looking to rent this place, beware, owner is Sheisty and tries to make up things to charge you for after the fact that is indeed not listed in the details of this listing or warranted, but just greed trying to take advantage of others. Beware

Loved this VRBO! Stayed with our 3 adult daughters and 2 dogs. Just the right size. Location was great! The beach is just a block away. House was great! Quiet neighborhood. Friendly neighbors. Would definitely stay here again when in the area.

We were in VA for a sporting event for my son. Three kids and two adults. This was the perfect spot away from the busyness of downtown Virginia Beach. Only a short 7 minute drive there when we wanted to grab a coffee or a meal. Having easy access to the beach was amazing! Will stay again!

Great place to stay. Close to the Boardwalk and only steps to the ocean. Wide, clean beach perfect for young families or dogs. Bonus: Dolphins swimming in the surf! House was very clean. Had everything we could need. Will definitely stay here again.

Nice clean and just the right size for a family of 5 with 2 dogs. The tile floors and fenced in yard are great with pets. You don't have to cross a busy road to walk to the beach so one less thing to worry about with 3 kids and 2 dogs. Beach supplies are in the shed so no need to worry about bringing them with you.
We enjoyed our stay and are already planning to coming back!

It was such a great space and so convenient to everything going on! We had such an amazing time and absolutely loved the amenities and perks that the space provided. The owner was so sweet and sent a message that we were able to get in a little earlier which was super convenient since we had a little puppy with us so it made it much easier to go drop him off before heading out. Will definitely stay again!

The bungalow was right on Atlantic Blvd. so it was a quick drive into downtown VA. Beach and the Boardwalk but it was also just a block walk to the beach which was perfect since the North End is a bit quieter and absolutely beautiful. The fenced front yard was great for our dog to run around in and the location is just a few blocks from a huge State Park that was a lot of fun to explore. The bungalow was clean, colorful and fun. I would recommend it highly!

This property had everything we needed for our stay with our 4 y/o, 11mo old, dog, & my spouse. We love how close it is to the beach, & a short drive from everything we needed (groceries, delicious coffee at Fathom). The outdoor shower and hose were very convenient to rinse off after our play in the sand. They had beach equipment in the shed but we only used the umbrella once, which was in great shape! Note they do not have a bathtub so it was baby’s first shower! (We all survived ;) )

This very cute duplex is a very close walk to a nice beach area. This time of year (October) it was practically deserted. It was still nice outside..upper 60’s/low 70’s. The house was clean and tidy and really adorably furnished. There are 3 bedrooms and plenty of room for a duplex. We had four people and didn’t feel like we were on top of each other. There is also a completely fenced front and back yard, so we felt safe bringing a pet with us. It was easy to communicate with the owners, and they responded promptly to questions or comments. We would definitely consider renting this house again when we return to Virginia Beach. 💜

We rented this property when we came to Va Beach for my daughter’s wedding. The place was great! Close to the beach and all the amenities we needed. Hosts were very responsive to questions. This was my first Vrbo experience so I was a little hesitant and not quite sure about the process but they were great! Definitely would love to come back.

Was great , just if your dog thinks any open gate is their freedom then don’t leave them in the yard unattended the yard is a shared yard and it’s also beach access for others the signs ask to close gate but the one wooden doesn’t latch without pulling up and if the person didn’t know your dog can easily push it open other than that it was a great place

Modest accommodations but perfect for what we were looking for -- near best beach in VB, dog friendly, 3 rooms. Everything was set up nicely and in great shape with new appliances. Very user friendly, very dog friendly. Nice fenced in front and rear yard. We love the North End beach and was super easy to get to without crossing Atlantic Ave for our morning and evening dog walks. Would stay again.

The house was in a perfect location. Very close to the beach - we walked the two minutes for sunrise every day of our stay. As a runner, it was amazing to also be so close to the First Landing State Park. I ran there every day of our visit, and they were some of the best trails I have ever run on. The home was perfect for our dog, Drake. He absolutely loved laying in front of the electric fireplace and running around off leash in the fenced in front and back areas. The chairs for the beach were wonderful to have as well as the linens and towels inside. I only have a few comments for improvements - the propane grill did not work which was unfortunate as we wanted to grill and enjoy the area in the back for a barbeque. The back outdoor area was nice, but it could have been just a bit cleaner. We absolutely loved the cute decor inside, but the couches were very uncomfortable to sit on to watch a movie or relax for any extended period of time. Overall, we absolutely loved our stay. Thank you for having us!
