I’ve been in a lot of five star hotels but this one feels like my home and I already miss it , the staff go above and beyond to accommodate their guests , definitely going back !

The made-to-order breakfasts were huge and delicious. The location is central but quiet and safe. The staff was very helpful and accomodating.

Beautifully kept property. The art alone was worth the stay as there is a fun new corner of the property to enjoy every day. Beyond just the property, the people make this Pug Seal great. The staff is so friendly, gracious and warm, everyone from housekeepers to cooks to wait staff to front desk.

The breakfast was absolutely incredible. It’s literally an al a carte menu of the finest mexican food I’ve ever had. The service was over the top good. There’s an honesty bar with good booze. The shower was phenomenal. I’ve traveled to 65 countries, stayed in countless hotels, most of which I immediately forget. This was different. It was special.

Slight issue with the fx rate I guess, my room was about $15/night more than I expected. Very minor detail. This place was outstanding.

Everything was exceptional. Breakfast delicious, location couldnt be more perfect, staff was welcoming, profesional and very friendly. The room was stunning. Bathroom beautiful as well, loved the bathtub especially after long working days. Al soaps, creams and shampoo is organic and artisanal made. Overall I loved staying at Pugseal, will definitely book again when in Mexico City

I truly loved everything

This place is gorgeous and comfortable and the staff is amazing. Lots of lovely outdoor space to lounge in. The food was unbelievable. I can't say enough good things about this place. Highly recommend.

The hotel is beautiful, we loved the details, super clean, the service is excellent and we loved the breakfasts!

The hotel is suuuper cute. Beautiful design, and filled with art everrywhere. I had a really good sleep, the bed and bedding was really really comfortable which is a high priority for me. The bathroom is really spacious and the staff were very helpful and accommodating. I would definitely come stay here again :)

Pug Seal is one of my favourite boutique hotels in the world and my #1 in mexico. The location of the hotel is superb, in what is surely one of the world's most beautiful and upmarket neighbourhoods. The house is traditional and lovely, with a very quirky décor, and a useful mini-garden with tables and chairs to eat or relax outside. Breakfast is served from 7am and is included in the price of the accommodation. The breakfast choices are great and the food is well prepared with many local ingredients, introducing the guest to the richness of the Mesoamerican cuisine. Very good wi-fi and smart TV. The bedding and mattress were very comfortable, and, when combined with the quiet street at night, meant that we slept very well!

The room. Despite the comfortable bed, the room (called Suite in the booking.com site) was cramped, with no space even for an open suitcase. One could only watch TV sitting on the bed. The wardrobe door would not open without hitting the bed. There is a big cow head with horns atop the bed on the wall; odd OK, but safe? The room was advertised with 'sonorisation'. Booking.com should delete that from the site as it is definitely not noise-insulated. Staff movements, early breakfast preparation, guests comings and going after a night out, door systems going off, etc. were all audible from inside our room on the ground floor. Other improvement areas: - The keyless room door opening system is not bad but, as it is unusual, should be better explained by staff to help guests avoid the noisy alarm that comes off when someone opens the door from the inside using the door handle. - The choice of coffees and teas at breakfast and during the day needs to be modernised to keep up with any basic chain hotel. Hot water went cold pretty quickly after breakfast and was not replaced. - The breakfast room seating is worn out and stained - change it. - Service is hit and miss. There is goodwill but our poor Spanish and their poor English did not help matters. Nonetheless, staff did book things for us, for which we are grateful. A booking service menu in English and Spanish would help. - Pick up at the airport worked out, but the car sent by the hotel did not have seatbelts, the driver did not use seatbelts and typed away at his phone the entire journey. It made for a scary introduction to CDMX. I'd prefer to pay a bit more for a car with a minimum of safety equipment and a more safety-conscious driver. - First impressions matter. When you come into the hotel, there is a beautiful rug at the entrance but it's stained and dirty. Behind the reception desk there were large cardboard packages which remained there for our entire stay.

The place is gorgeous, the decoration and the details in every little corner makes this Hotel an art piece by itself. PugSeal is my home whenever I go to Mexico city, staff make you feel like home, and breakfast... oh myyy! the best! Walking to Polanquito just 2 blocks away and finding the best restaurants and cafes is just unbelievable
