This property was a very beautiful home that was extremely clean and our family of nine had plenty of room throughout the home. We spent a good portion of our time at glacier national Park, and it was about 45 minutes to get inside the entrance which seemed reasonable given the nice home that we stayed in. The home was extremely well-maintained and clean. It was very close to the town of whitefish was it was a fun break from the park with good food and restaurants.

This is a great property and a great place to spend time in with friends. The space is very functional and I would absolutely stay here again! The check in process is just a bit odd if you don’t arrive in town before the main office closes at 5:30. Having to wait to get a key from a security team member in a empty check in office at the main ski mountain office made our crew a bit anxious for a moment or two. The security member was very easy to work with and we very much appreciate his time. We had to return to the office the next day to complete the check in - not convenient, but the staff was great. In all, we loved the space!

We had 8 of us in the house and it was set up perfectly for us. The team that checked us in and our shuttle driver who hauled us back up to the house after we missed the last lifts were excellent. We cooked dinner and breakfast in and the kitchen was well put together for our needs. We made excellent use of the hot tup and had some pretty fierce ping pong matches. Overall, the trip and stay were excellent and can't say enough about the staff we interacted with. Thank you!

Family Vacation
The house was excellent for 7 adults. We enjoyed slot of summer activities like hiking in the park, hot air balloon rides, mountain biking and side by side trail riding. I highly recommend this house.

Great Family Accomodations
The Echtra Cabin provided perfect accommodations for our group of 6 adults (2 couples, 2 grandmothers) and 6 children (aged 12-4). The bedrooms were spacious and well placed to assure privacy and comfort. The open-living kitchen, dining and living room allowed everyone to be part of the party and enjoy all the comradery. We were perfectly located to enjoy the amenities of the resort, both Whitefish & Whitefish lake and Glacier National Park. We were also pleased with the included transportation provided by the resort from our cabin to various points of interest at the resort. The kitchen was well-stocked with dishes, pots, pans, crock pots and utensils. We all enjoyed the hot tub and visiting deer, hummingbirds and ptarmigan. The staff was most responsive and professional with a welcoming attitude. Great Family Vacation!

This home is lovely. The space in the home was perfect for three sets of families, a total of 11 people. The location is minutes away from downtown and not to far of a drive to Glacier Park. We definitely recommend this home for anyone looking for a mountain getaway trip.

A Christmas in Winter Wonderland
The Echtra Cabin is made for a picture perfect winter wonderland Christmas celebration. The house is run by the Whitefish Mountain Resort, which is a huge bonus for skiing there. You have direct access to their shuttle service or you can actually ski in/ ski out to the chair lifts. The house it self was perfect for our family of 10 to live very comfortable. Plenty of bedrooms and beds available, with plenty of bedding and towels. I think our favorite parts were the fireplaces, the Kitchen/dining area, and the Hot Tub. Of course the views were spectacular also. Since this particular house is run by the resort, they do all the driveway cleaning, porch cleaning of snow, garbage pick up even. Excellent service! We had NO complaints from the family. My one recommendation is to bring all condiments, food, paper products with you. There are several stores available to you down the mountain in Whitefish, Overall, you can not go wrong in renting this beautiful house!!

Served Its Purpose
Overall it was good. Minor issues due to no instructions on anything (ie thermostat, fireplace, door locks, hot tub). Also, random maintenance man would come onto the property daily without notifying anyone. Other than than it was the perfect set up for a group of friends. Still would recommend and the staff was great to work with throughout the process.

Summer vacation at Glacier National Park
Very nice house and we enjoyed going to Glacier National Park but like staying in a nicer property. The kids enjoyed activities at the mountain base and the town of Whitefish is good for dining. It was hot outside during the first part of our week and the thermostat was set to not allow the air conditioning to start so our first night was hot inside.

Lovely summer stay
Had a great time at Echtra Cabin. There was plenty of room for our group of 11. Ping Pong table and lots of TVs (three family rooms!) for the kids. Hot tub was a fantastic bonus too. Two laundry rooms, king beds in three rooms for adults and two bunk rooms for kids. Gorgeous neighborhood a short ride (15 minutes up the mountain) from town. So much to do in Whitefish and the surrounding area. Cannot wait to go back!

Our family met in Montana for a pre-Christmas ski vacation. Grandparents soaked in the surrounding winter wonderland in front of the cozy fire with good books and were quite entertained getting acquainted with Alexa! Parents and kids, age 12 through 24, skied/boarded Whitefish Mountain and then came ‘home’ to soak in the hot tub, play games, read and enjoy family worship. The ping pong table supplied rounds of good family competition. The staff responsible for maintaining the home were friendly, helpful and polite! Truly an amazing vacation we will always treasure and hope to repeat! Thank you for sharing your lovely home!

Amazing Property / Dream Vacation
I'm going to try and keep this brief and to the point but a property of this value is well worth noting. First of all, Echtra Cabin was much more spacious and roomy than what I had thought. With 5 bedrooms and a loft with a hide away bed this sounds obvious but the layout lends for privacy for all guests and a coziness to spend time together as a group. My friends and I were there to ski and snowboard. The front area has a set of five beautiful wooden lockers and benches for everyone to get your gear on comfortably while the kitchen and great room are situated so you can all cook, converse, listen to music or watch movies together. We all downloaded Sonos and took turns playing our favorite songs while we cooked, ate and drank. The kitchen has EVERYTHING you need to cook ANYTHING you want. We thought we'd eat out more but staying home was awesome (and saved us money). The hot tub is on the main floor deck with easy access off the kitchen. The bedrooms were BIG with plenty of closet and dresser space so you can get organized and the views are SPECTACULAR. The house is was extremely clean and in perfect condition having only been built about a year or so ago. There are gas fireplaces on the main floor and lower level as well as the master bedroom. They give off quite a bit of heat which is nice after skiing. The "cabin" was exactly as listed and cannot be described without seeing it. As far as ski in and ski out goes, the property is very convenient and easy to access. While you do have to walk maybe a few hundred yards up the neighborhood to "Home Again" ski run, we found this a great way to loosen up. I would recommend this option versus taking the ski way down to the neighborhood chair lift. While convenient, it's a little bit of a waste of time given you end up close to where you go if you just walk up the street a few hundred steps. Coming back, the ski way goes right past the front of the house so you can take the ski way when coming home. Whitefish Mountain Resort's service was great with a complimentary shuttle should you want to go straight to the village for rentals or start out skiing on a different area of the mountain. The people of Whitefish are amazing and the town is wonderful! The big bonus for us is that it snowed almost everyday we were there. The mountain has something for everyone! I would give this property and it's amenities 10 stars if I could. Thank you Echtra... you thought of everything!

Echtra Cabin is roomy and spacious
The area is lovely and we loved Glacier National Park. The house is well located with a great deck and terrific view of the area. We had visiting deer almost every afternoon. Unfortunately, we also had visiting mice. I was awakened about 2am when a mouse knocked over something on my bedside table. Rather disconcerting!! I left the room to the mouse and slept on the sofa in the great room. We had many visitors in the kitchen area, also. We reported this to management and also bought our own traps...we caught 4 mice one night...not what one expects in such a lovely rental! I would recommend the house as it is spacious and well appointed...but, the critter problem needs to addressed! When we arrived there were no towels or washcloths in either of the master baths on the main floor...but, we found some to use downstairs....cobwebs adorned the lamp and chair in mater bedroom and draped the shower in that bath....were they new??? or had cleaning not cleaned so well?? shower mat was not clean in that bath either. It seems I am complaining quite a bit...but, I am sure management wants to know these things....for the house is a great rental and these are all easily fixable. Erase the problems I mentioned and the house gets 5 stars!

Best Snowboarding and Winter Vacation Yet!
I met two old college friends and my dad for a week of skiing, snowboarding and relaxation. The "cabin" is spacious and has every amenity you can imagine with wide open spaces for hanging out. With three fireplaces, a hot tub and music throughout the house, we had a blast. The kitchen has everything you need and when you are feeling lazy and don't want to use the ski-way to access the mountain, the Whitefish Mountain Resort will come to pick you up (usually within 15 minutes) to drop you off at the main lift for FREE! During our stay, we just so happened to arrive during what would be about 18 straight days of measurable snow for Big Mountain. We had fresh, dry powder every day of our stay. It was SPECTACULAR!
PS . Had a friend in a wheelchair stay with me here last year. If you know someone with disabilities, the entire first floor including two bathrooms, the main living room, kitchen and the hot tub are on one level which is also level with the front door and garage. Even the plates and glasses are in sliding drawers so anybody can reach them. Its fully wheelchair accessible!

ROOMY WITH A VIEW! GREAT GROUP GET-AWAY!
Our party of 12 fit perfectly in this gorgeous "cabin." The Great Room/Dining/Kitchen area is its best feature with plenty of space and amenities for gathering, cooking, and entertaining. The list of features is endless and we had absolutely EVERYTHING we needed to make our vacation enjoyable. The owners did a top-notch job with the luxurious and convenient design of the Echtra Cabin.
We were told we were the first guests so we experienced a few "bugs in the system" that will probably be worked out for the next party and so, not worthy of lowering the rating: 1.) The Ski-In/Ski-Out distinction was a little sketchy. The ski-way to the neighborhood lift wasn't groomed until the third day of our stay and that made a huge difference. Beginners had some trouble maneuvering the snow plow berms for access to the ski-way. 2.) Some in our party had difficulty with the temperature settings in their rooms. 3.) We had a trouble accessing Netflix and Amazon (maybe just need more detailed instructions?), and could not find the password for the Sonos sound system, but Alexa was always at the ready with music, knowledge, and light-switch duty. 4.) BYOB - Bring Your Own Blow-dryer.
We can't say enough about the Whitefish Mountain Resort cast and crew: friendly, helpful, knowledgeable. The driveway and road were maintained every morning. The hot tub was serviced every day. We always have a wonderful time at "Big Mountain" thanks to the accommodating staff, fabulous lodging options, and beautiful location and snow conditions.
