As stated, the house is an art lovers dream and the view is spectacular! The owners, Rick and Steve, made us feel very welcomed and were very helpful with recommendations to make our vacation memorable. The home is generously stocked and is equally perfect for active families and those who are looking for peace and relaxation. Perfect!

We had a good time here, the views are beautiful and it accommodated our family well. Jeanna was very helpful in recommending places to eat and explore. The pool was really cold was the only issue we had but we still used it.

Reviews This is a magical house! We loved everything about our stay here. Every little nook and cranny contains some beautiful art or thoughtful decoration and the layout is unique and absolutely perfect for a group. The light fixtures are amazing. And the view of the sea cannot be beat. We had so many wonderful moments in the outdoor living space. Beds super comfy, kitchen fun to cook in and to bring in private chef Salma. Hot tub and pool were great. Jeanna was wonderful, she was responsive to all of our questions and our needs, super easy communication and she gave great recommendations for what to do on and around the island. The hike down to and up from the bay was a great workout and fantastic swimming. We got used to the rugged and steep road after driving it a couple times. We were a group of 7 with three small kids (ages 7, 4, 1). Excellent stay, we highly recommend Villa Amour if you are on St. Thomas.

We had a wonderful week at Villa Amour. The house was very well kept and the view is unbelievable. The pool and hot tub were fantastic. We used them every day. We had plenty of room for six adults and two kids. The road is a bit of a challenge. I’d suggest a Jeep. The property manager, Jeanna, was very attentive and helpful. We’d definitely stay here again!

My family & I stayed at Villa Amour back in 2016 and it was such an amazing experience we decided to do it again August 2023 with our 9 month old daughter and two teenage boys. The house is immaculate. Absolutely beautiful both inside and out. The natural garden is magnificent; the infinity pool is the highlight for us; and the hot tub for my husband. Lol. We made more amazing memories for our family! The property manager Jeanna was more than accommodating & made sure we had everything we needed. Even suggested one of our new favorite places to eat. Rick and Steve were so courteous! The one issue we had was my fault & they fixed it the same day ! There was also snorkel gear for us, a washer & dryer, beach chairs, coolers, ice packs, and a high chair ! The view is one of the best on the island - the neighborhood is secluded & safe. The road is definitely rugged but the Jeep handled it just fine. We hope to make our stay at Villa Amour a tradition!

The pictures online are nothing compared to the real thing. My whole family was in awe as soon as we walked in. It is gorgeous! The art work is beautiful, the statues very interesting, and the landscaping, both interior and exterior, breathtaking. The roads are rough, so you definitely need to rent a keep or SUV. We had to get a van because of the amount of people and luggage we had. It got the job done, but we did struggle one time. Everyday after all of our adventures, we were in the pool playing games and just enjoying the views which are mind blowing. They also have a great hot tub that we took advantage of after a long hike. This home along with the owners and hostess surpassed our expectations of a great trip and stay. There are adorable lizards that come out and play on the patio and off the pool. They’re not bothersome at all, just fun to watch them chase each other. It was perfect waking up everyday and having breakfast outside looking out to beautiful weather and beautiful views. We got married and opted for a family moon since we became a blended family. Our kids are 24, 20, 19, 18, and 10. They absolutely loved every minute and did not want to leave. Absolutely amazing property. Couldn’t have been happier with the house and communication with the owners. The home was absolutely stunning! As everyone stated, the road to the house is a little rough at first, but you quickly get used to it. I was honestly expecting worse! The kitchen is absolutely to die for and I loved cooking and looking at that VIEW 😍!! The owner and property manager were both so welcoming and helpful! I cannot wait for my next vacation to St. Thomas and I already know I’ll be staying at Villa Amour!

My family really enjoyed the pool and outside area. Having coffee and watching the sunrise was wonderful. The landscaping is gorgeous! As previously mentioned the road to the house is rough.

Our family of 6 (2 adults 4 kids ages 7,8,11,12) traveled to St. Thomas for the first time for spring break. Speaking with Jeanna the house contact was always so easy and she was so helpful. You walk into the house and are greeted with a beautiful property and then see the pool and view and oh my goodness is it breathtaking. We visited different beaches every day and each had things we loved about it! Our private beach was wonderful to walk and explore. Magens Bay was wonderful and we loved Brewers Beach with the best little food truck that was there with pates and burgers and fries! We did a boat day around St. John and lunch in Lovango with Alibi Charters and it was stunning all around. We also ferried our car to St. John one day and explored their beautiful beaches, this is something you must do! Maho, Cinnamon and Trunk Bay were the ones we visited and they were all amazing! Our dinner at Fish House one night was amazing! The view and the food were insane. Also ate at Sibs on the Mountain which was great as well! The house and island is so beautiful! We absolutely loved it and highly recommend it!!!!!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Villa Amour! Spend the majority of our time lounging, eating, and drinking at the Villa. You just can't get enough of the view. My favorite time was a half hour before sunrise, starting the coffee and opening up the sliders, listening to the birds, and ahh that view! The property manager was attentive, answering all our questions (thank you!) The place was clean, the kitchen was adequate for cooking and grilling. We have no complaints...loved every minute. We even loved the road, which was scary at first but after arriving at the Villa you won't think twice about it! Just make sure you have a vehicle with a bit of ground clearance!

I can’t say enough about this house and the owners (and property manager Jeanna). We hope to come back and stay again! The house is beautiful with an amazing view, hot tub and infinity pool. It was a perfect way for our family to start and end each day! At the bottom of the road is essentially a private beach. What more could anyone want? The owners even gave us a tour of the new home they just built above this house. Super friendly and responsive when we had a hot tub question. The road is mostly unpaved and a bit of a wild ride but that’s what keeps the beach secluded. The roads in St. Thomas are a little funky anyway so it’s just part of the paradise adventure. The property is beautiful and the view and grounds were amazing. Six adults had plenty of room to enjoy the pool, hot tub, dining and living areas. The owners were extremely responsive and helpful with any issues. They went above and beyond to help with a Valentine's dinner recommendation and help with transportation. The only downside is the travel to the villa on very bumpy roads and ability to get to restaurants/bars/stores etc. We did get more comfortable as time went on, but still did not do any night time travel. Thank goodness for the jeeps! Taxi travel is quite costly so all of our sightseeing was during the day. The beaches are beautiful and we saw some gorgeous views during our stay. The owners even gave us a tour of their new amazing property before we left. Overall a wonderful stay!

Villa Amour was the perfect venue for our annual family warm weather retreat. The six of us (3 couples) had more than enough space to have our privacy and also to come together - for home-cooked dinners on the grill, connecting conversation, and languid meditative hours on the deck enjoying the jaw-dropping beauty of the vista. Rick and Steve were wonderful hosts - there for us any time we needed them, invisible when we didn't. Steve's horticultural talents are abundantly evident. Over years of dedicated attention, he's surrounded the villa with beautiful flowers spanning a rainbow of tropical colors. We very much appreciated the beach chairs, water shoes, and snorkeling gear for our trips to the beaches. As others have noted, we strongly recommend renting a 4-wheel drive vehicle. While our 2-wheel drive Dodge Caravan made it up the 35 degree driveway when conditions were dry, we burned rubber when it was wet, once having to unload all but the driver to make it the whole way up. Otherwise, our week at Villa Amour left us wanting for nothing.

This place looks just like the pictures. Very comfortable. Worth the money. The road to get there, however, is challenging! Make sure to rent a 4 wheel drive vehicle.

The views from this cliffside retreat are a feast for the eyes. The rugged hillsides are blanketed in an emerald green jungle. Powder white sands swirl in the currents of the sapphire waters below – a mesmerizing living canvas of teals, turquoise and deep blue that is constantly changing. The property is filled with tropical plants and trees, unique sculptures and artistic flair. Walking into the beautiful entryway you are immediately greeted with colorful statues, unique artwork and myriad glass pieces. The open floor plan feels like a palace. The living area is comfortable with a big circular sofa, lounger and TV. This flows into the dining area which features a huge imported granite table. The well-appointed kitchen borders the dining area and has everything you need. A bbq is situated just out the kitchen door along with laundry. There are four large bedrooms, each with an en suite bathroom and plenty of windows and ceiling fans. The stone showers are all large and clean. The upper bedrooms are oversized and feel palatial although there isn’t a bad room in the house. All bedrooms have an air conditioner so you can leave the windows open and fall asleep to the breeze and sounds of the jungle or button up and rest in the cool comfort of the aircon. The whole wall bordering the dining and living areas is glass and retracts back. This lets the constant breeze flow through the whole house and opens up the space to the beautiful views. The infinity edge pool is gorgeous and sparkling clean. The hot tub was a favorite. There are many options for seating and lounging on the spacious deck and covered porch. You can see all the way to the British Virgin Islands. (We didn’t make it to the nearby beach). The villa is located on the quiet Northeastern side of St. Thomas and offered us much-needed peace and tranquility. We were glad to have a Jeep to access the area as the roads are typical for the island. The airport was a short ride away and we easily traveled to Red Hook, Charlotte Amalie and a daytrip to St. John. Sibbs on the Mountain was our favorite open-air dining spot. I highly recommend staying at Villa Amour on your next visit to St. Thomas. The property is fantastic, the location was serene and the views are unparalleled. The owners are very kind and responsive yet gave us complete privacy in our temporary paradise. You just can’t go wrong at Villa Amour and I so very much look forward to being there again!

The home is exactly as pictured and provides priceless views. The only bad thing I could say about the property was relative to the access road that was very bumpy due to recent rains, which created washout areas. Once this can be smoothed out, there is no negative to the property.

The stay was beautiful with plenty of fun at the beaches and bars. Everything is fairly close and not a terrible drive. You do need a good vehicle that can go off roads but it is well worth it. Nights were fun and cozy at the house. Definitely a time to remember!

This is a wonderful property with fantastic owners. As others have said, the views cannot be described in words or pictures, you have to see it to truly appreciate it. Rick, the owner, greeted us as the property and gave us a walk through, which is something that we both appreciated and have never experienced at any other property we've rented. We had two families celebrating the college graduation of our oldest daughters, so four 50+ish and four 22 - 20 year olds. Pleasant surprises included AC in every sleeping room, mask/fin/snorkel equipment, two coolers, some floaties + chairs to take to the beach and a washer/drier for clothes and towels. Note that the chairs are more camping chairs than beach chairs, however we improvised by digging down the back legs in the sand to lower them to beach level. The BBQ grill is in great shape and the cookware is better than most of the VRBO's we've rented in the past. Silverware, knives, glasses, etc. - no complaints. I have come to expect cheap, dull knifes and crappy cookware from VRBO rentals, and though not as good as my home cutlery the kitchen was perfectly fine for the four dinners and seven breakfast meals we cooked. We rented Jeeps from Amalie Car Rental, and although 'normal' vehicles can navigate the road to the property we were happy to have the additional clearance. Do not discount the access to Neltjeberg beach, which is a few minutes away from the property. It's a locals favorite, nearly private with no amenities (pack those coolers) or crowds. We visited 4 of our 7 days and never saw more than a few families. The property is away from the more densely populated areas of the island, but not so far away that it was inconvenient to visit Red Hook or Charlotte Amalie. 20 mins to Magan's bay, 25 mins to the beaches outside of Red Hook, 30 mins to the boat ferry to St. John's, 15 mins from the airport. We are from the US mainland and it took less adjusting than expected to driving on the left hand side of the road - don't let that scare you from coming. The property has WiFi for your use, and cell service was solid. 4 social media addicted early 20 somethings plus 4 'let me check on work' parents were never left wanting for bandwidth. We highly recommend this property, you will not regret spending your vacation at Villa Amour.

A beautiful home with incredible views and nice amenities. We really enjoyed having the pool and hot tub for the times that we were at the house and not out doing activities. We are glad that we listened to the advice from other reviewers and got a 4 wheel drive vehicle.

Can’t ask for a better experience. Rick and Steven are very accommodating and gracious. Love that the property is so quiet and peaceful. It’s absolutely gorgeous with an intimate layout and unrivaled views. No need to leave once you’ve packed it in. The road is rough, but entirely worth it!!! Will definitely be back!!!

Villa Amour was more beautiful than the pictures. Some of the most beautiful views on the island. It was the perfect place to relax when we weren’t out on adventures or at a beach. The hosts were very accommodating and communication was fantastic. The kids and adults loved the saline pool and hot tub. The hot tub was used each night as the stars came out over the ocean. The Kitchen was exactly what we needed as a family too! Each room has its own bathroom so there was never a struggle even with 6 of us in the house. And each has their own AC but we did not need to use them with the cross breezes and ceiling fans. The Villa was impeccably clean and we did not experience any of the same issues with critters that we saw in a previous review. And in any case, you would expect to see some when your location is in the middle of a lush forest! The grounds have beautiful landscaping and plants and we were lulled to sleep each night by the sounds of the Coqui frogs. A wonderful and unique place to stay. One note: the hosts are not kidding about needing a 4x4 for the drive in. It is all part of the adventure! You should stay here. You won’t be sorry!

What a wonderful trip. House was as advertised. Rick was a great host. Explained everything house had to offer and responded quickly to any questions. Views are breat taking. The artistic decor of the house was wonderful. I would notice a different detail of the decor everyday. Highly recommend. A trip that will be remembered for life.

Rick and Steve were great hosts. Although they live on property, we had plenty of privacy which is very important when we are looking to escape the world for a bit. Fantastic views and great decor. Some days we didn't even leave the house, it was so peaceful. Communication was great leading up to and during our stay. Definitely recommend a stay here.

The house and the property were absolutely outstanding! The view from the pool and even from inside the house was breathtaking. Rick and Stephen did an amazing job in adding different artwork and amenities to the home that we didn’t wanna leave! Rick met us upon arrival and gave us some great suggestions and recommendations for places to eat and visit. There were maps and directions to different places which was extremely helpful. They even had spices and condiments ready to be used. The nightly serenade of the frogs was so cool to listen to that we had a hard time adjusting to no noise when we came home. The roads are steep and narrow so definitely rent a jeep. But that is all part of the adventure and actually the enjoyment of getting to the top of the hill for the spectacular house! Rick and Stephen were the perfect hosts! We are already planning our return trip as soon as we can!

This property is lovely. The setting is beautiful and the house and grounds are well kept. It lived up to the pictures. We spent most of our time outdoors using the patio, pool, and hot tub. The owners are unbelievably friendly and helpful. The night we checked in we had a problem with our rental car and they went above and beyond to help us retrieve our luggage and get settled. We appreciated their kindness and enjoyed our stay very much. The only drawback at all is the road to drive to the villa. But the listing and owners communicate very well to assist getting there safely, so that is also appreciated. If you're looking for a relaxing oasis for your getaway, this is the place.
