Beautiful condo great views wonderful beaches close to everything. Needs new blinds sleeping is little rough with the light from outside and the blinds are missing slats and don't close all the way. Possible termite problem in the kitchen.

Absolutely beautiful view of the lagoon and beach, plus Friday night fireworks!! Bonus - can see the Hilton luau from balcony!

2 bedroom condo was a bit smaller than other condo units we have previously stayed in. Slightly dated furnishings and microwave was broken. After a call to property management, it was replaced the next day. Comfortable for four people with two bathrooms. Plus, was view of Hilton's luau from the lanai!

This is a fine property in the middle of the action, on the edge of Waikiki. The Ilikai is a relatively old building, and it shows in the rooms. There could have been more pots and pans in the kitchen. Overall, however, it was clean, comfortable, and afforded us a beautiful view of the ocean. There was the additional advantage of a free hula show near ground level, three of the nights we stayed. You could easily hear and see it from our lanai.

The unit was a two bedroom, two bat with a huge lanai and terrific views. We were in 1418 and the price was fair for the location and amenities. We had a full kitchen which was great and the unit was equipped with a small vacuum and necessary cleaning supplies.
One issue that we had was the microwave oven didn’t work. I reset the circuit breaker once and the oven immediately tripped it again. This proved inconvenient as we purchased microwave meals and snacks which were of no use. Notification to the property manager was made on our second day but we never heard anything. The ac units were old, noisy, and not very efficient. They could stand an upgrade to newer units since they’re not in keeping with a luxury vacation rental. The beds were reminiscent of Army barracks bunks. They worked but I didn’t find them very comfortable. Finally, the toilet in the master bath needs a new flush valve. The one that’s there never shut off completely.
The unit was nice, otherwise comfortable, but in need of a good thorough clean of the base boards, air vents, and some brighter light bulbs in the bathrooms would be great.
We enjoyed the stay and would recommend it to others. Communication is the key.

This property is in a wonderful location, beautiful beach view each morning and plenty of space for my whole family. Very easy check in and check out, it’s located within the lovely Ilikai hotel. Very nice to have access to all of the shops, including coffee, a restaurant, and even a spa. We enjoyed live music with hula dancers and fireworks on Friday night. The property itself could use some updates and remodeling, but overall clean, the beds were comfortable, and we had most everything we needed in the kitchen. There are washers and dryers on each floor. We enjoyed our stay very much, and would stay here again!

This was a great property for my family to experience Waikiki away from the busy areas. The property was spacious and clean and had everything we needed for a week away. It was within walking distance to the lagoon and beach which was great with kids. The second floor pool was also a hit for my young children. If I ever make it back to Oahu I'd stay here again.

Stayed here for 4 nights with my husband and 2 teenage sons. The room set up was perfect. We were very comfortable. We enjoyed coffee on the large lanai every morning with a spectacular view. This property is in a great location within walking distance of shopping and restaurants The beach and lagoon are also just a short walk away. Only a few negatives: the decor is a bit dated and the sliding doors are quite difficult to open and close. Also the internet is very unreliable.
I would definitely recommend this property.

Other nearby attractions within walking distance: The Royal Hawaiian for Luau and lunch/drinks on the beach at their Mai Tai bar. Orchids for a formal weekend brunch. Our last morning before heading to the airport, we visited Pesca’s at the top of Illikai for breakfast where we experienced breathtaking views of the ocean. We had a lovely trip and highly recommend booking this condo!

The unit was tastefully updated with lots of room for five adults. My husband was especially impressed with the extremely large outdoor lanai space. It spanned the entire unit and it was so nice to have that extra space to spread out into so that everyone could find some quiet time when needed.
The master bedroom was very large and comfortable. Lots and lots of closet space! The beds and the bedding comfortable and our adult kids said the pull out sofa was comfortable as well.
The kitchen was well appointed with everything we would need and we were surprised to see a very nice new sturdy blender for our frosty frozen drinks!
There were four beach chairs and a soft side Beach cooler on wheels that we utilized when we went to the beach. For those in need of it, there was also a nice umbrella stroller and booster seat in the unit as well.
We ended up parking in the marina behind the building because it was only one dollar an hour. As we knew we would be in an out we never paid more than about $15 a day for parking. If you park in the Ilikai valet parking, starting March 1 it’s $35 a day.
The one negative was when we first got there one of the elevators was not working. By our third day there two more elevators had broken. So for a few days we had to wait for a very long time for an elevator. They did have that all resolved by our fourth day there. And then we didn’t have to wait as long.
Overall it was a great place for a family of five adults and we would definitely rebook if we make it back to Honolulu!

The bathroom by the 2 double beds had cans of spiked cider and hard alcohol in the medicine cabinet. The oven had a big pile of cooked on cheese or something from previous renters. The sofa hide a bed had a bent frame at the bottom of the bed so we had to put the cushions in the floor to hold the bed up so our grandson could sleep in it. The bottom metal frame broke the night before we left and a maintenance person came and took pictures. Then the last day a person watching the pool would not let our 3 grandsons play with a ball in the pool when there were only 4 other people on the shallow end. I read the rules and there was nothing stating a 2” soft ball could not be played with in the pool. Very disappointing.
We loved the location but did not think it was worth the nightly cost.

Condo was a bit dated and the AC running 24/7 caused an issue with water overflowing on to the lower lanais. Otherwise the location was great, staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful, condo pictures are very accurate. View is amazing. A comfortable stay for our family of 4.

Very comfortable and spacious for 4. Great view. Very convenient to lots of great places. Security did tell us that the A/C was overfilling tray and dripping to our downstairs neighbor's lanai, but that was the tiniest of hiccups. It's a terrific place to stay for 4 people! Hope to stay here again.

Great Location and space!
This condo was great for a family of 4 (4 & 6 yr. olds) and the grandparents. It was clean, had plenty of towels for the beach and showering, enough space we never felt crowded and all the kitchen devices you'd need to cook meals. It's within walking distance of anything you needed (groceries, taxis, shopping, rental cars right across the street, etc.). There were some beach toys that we got great use of (we never found the beach umbrella other reviewers mentioned, but it sure would've been nice to have one bc they are EXPENSIVE to rent!). The view was incredible, we enjoyed almost every meal on the patio and the kids loved watching the luau show on the roof of the Hilton next door (you can see it clearly from the patio). There were fireworks in the lagoon on Thursday night that were incredible, and you could catch a small glimpse of the ones on Friday around the Hilton. If you want a better view of the Friday fireworks, walk down to the lagoon. It's a few minutes walk to the beach/lagoon (the beach is super rocky, bring beach/water shoes) area so we always had armfuls of items so we wouldn't have to return to the condo. It's close enough to be convenient, but not close enough that you want to make multiple trips up and down if you forget things. We never used the pool except to rinse off, the beach rinse stations are way too far to effectively rinse off bc then you walk right back through the lagoon to go up to the hotel. It's easy to get into the Hilton pools and use the slide because people are constantly going in and out of the gates. We snorkeled with sea turtles in the little cove just outside the lagoon (there are more on the tip of the rock jetty and the water is clearer the further you get from shore). You're able to see the turtles swimming if you walk out on the rocks to the point and don't want to swim out that far. As other reviewers have mentioned, the WiFi is pretty bad-I ended up using my hotspot on my cell most often. Now, when I read those other reviews I thought "why does that matter? shouldn't you be outside?" . We spent minimal time inside with two active kids (my husband and I are divers and avid snorkelers so we were inside to eat and sleep only); HOWEVER, we didn't book excursions beforehand (wanted most current weather forecasts to decide). It made it really difficult to find and book these things with unreliable internet, so maybe do your research & decide on activities before you come :).

Wonderful large unit with a spectacular view!
Stayed here in January with 2 children- lots of room and it never felt crowded. Kitchen is well stocked. Unit is a short walk to the laundry area and also the swimmers elevator. I personally like everything about the Ilikai- great location without being too crazy crowded. Next time extended family comes to visit we hope to stay here again. Beach equipment is provided and the views are amazing.

Christmas in Hawaii
We stayed as a group of 4 adults and 1 child (aged 12) for 6 nights over Christmas 2018. Self check in was easy and the condo was very clean on our arrival. This condo was fantastic and large enough for us not to feel crowded. The views are spectacular and it gets all day sun. The kitchen is fully equipped with all you would need. The beds are very comfortable and the fold out couch is fine for a child. We used the air conditioning overnight but the doors open during the day for the sea breeze. Everything worked fine and I could see no problem with the floor that had been mentioned in previous reviews so am assuming it has been fixed. I would not hesitate to stay here again - thank you for a wonderful stay and many wonderful memories.

Just spent 8 nights at this unit at the Ilikai. Ilikai was a nice property, restaurant and shops downstairs, convenient location to HHV property. Ilikai staff were all friendly. I wish I could say the same for the property management company managing the unit.
First, the unit is smaller than it appears in photos. "View" was just ok. People reporting a great view of the Friday night fireworks were not describing what we saw; the HHV building next door blocked all except a couple of high fireworks; Surprising, given the rave reviews. Yes, you can hear the hula show next door on top of the parking garage, but its too far to see anything. Floor is in need of repair.
While we were there, the molding above the sliding lanai doors simply became unglued, and was hanging from the door frame until the next day when someone came to repair it. They also glued down the door trim which was loose. The sliding doors did not slide without a great deal of coaxing..thank goodness we all have good upper body strength. Kitchen: freezer has no automatic ice maker...so be prepared to make them in ice trays and find a bowl to put them in. Kitchen otherwise ok in terms of supplies, except a can opener. If you like cans, bring your own opener.
We were able to get into our unit early, thankfully...and there was a repairman who came to fix the second bathroom closet door which was hanging off its hinges. FYI, the secondary bedroom has no cabinet or drawer space, so you can either hang things in the closet, or place on the bathroom closet shelves.
When I asked the property management company to remove the bedframe from one of the two second bedroom beds, and drop the mattress and boxspring to the floor so i could get in and out of the bed (I use a wheelchair and cannot stand to climb up into the bed, so needed it lowered), I was met with delays and then ultimate refusal. They emailed me and said they could/would not do this, and would refund my money if I needed to go elsewhere. OR...I could sleep on the sofa bed for 8 nights. Not an acceptable response, and after significant "discussion" on this matter, they did send someone over to simply remove the bedframe so I could sleep in a bed each night. But to have to even argue about this? Disappointing.
Pools were ok; deep pool had many screaming children; shallow pool a little quieter. Both pools small.
Had a great time due to being with family. But I think I will stick with Maui from now on!!
