We recently had the pleasure of staying in this charming villa in Burgau, and it's safe to say the photographs on the Vrbo site don't do it justice. This gorgeous two-bedroom villa exceeded all our expectations. It features a comfortable sitting and dining area, along with a small but well-equipped kitchen, complete with a dishwasher and washing machine, making our stay incredibly convenient.
One of the highlights is the pool area and terrace, which get sunlight from morning until night, perfect for lounging and relaxing. Additionally, the private side balcony is an ideal spot for an evening drink while enjoying the sunset.
The villa is clean and stylish, and we were impressed by the attentive service from the housekeeper and pool man, who both visited twice during our 10-day stay. The inclusion of beach towels was a great advantage, and the welcome gift of wine, essential store cupboard items and the liquid soaps and perfume was a thoughtful touch that made us feel right at home.
Burgau itself is a stunning place, and we appreciated the convenient No. 4 bus to neighbouring Praia da Luz and Lagos. Taxis to Lagos were also affordable, costing under €10 for a one-way trip.
This was our fourth visit to Burgau, and without a doubt, we would not hesitate to book this villa again. Thank you for making our stay so memorable.

Lovely outdoor area to sunbathe and eat.
Easy walking distance of the beach and lovely local bars and cafes - everyone was so helpful and friendly.

4th time staying in beautiful Burgau, this fantastic villa is by far the best we have stayed in, would love to stay again. Spotlessly clean, well equipped kitchen, lots of extras beach towels, beach seats and amazing swimming pool. You will not be disappointed, it really is a special holiday home and hosted by Candida who is superb and can’t do enough to make your stay extra comfortable. Thank you

We had the best week here in Burgau, the villa is wonderful with everything you could possibly need, the swimmjng pool was a firm favourite! The village is beautiful and has some lovely restaurants and a great beach. We would love to visit again, a really special place 😍

Wonderful villa in a brilliant location. Within walking distance of shops, places to eat and beach. Villa was immaculate and equipped with everything you could need. Pool was ideal for kids as not too deep and lots of outdoor space. Caretakers were lovely, friendly and helpful - we hope to be back again soon.

This was a superb villa on a corner plot. Plenty of parking. Easy walk into Burgau with a handful of restaurants and beach. Burgau has escaped the mass tourism ( not sure for how long).
Villa had great facilities, was clean and the pool a great hit with teenage son.
Great location to explore Algarve...a car is a must.
Lovely coastal paths to Luz or Salema.
Owners were extremely responsive with questions/ communication great.
We definitely will be back, highly recommend!

The house location is great the sun is in the pool from 10am right through till early evening which is great they have a toilet downstairs which was ideal for my parents so they didn’t have to tackle the stairs each time they needed to use the bathroom
A handrail on the stairs would be good for older people and children unsteady on their feet and the kitchen door gets in the way of the cupboards ha ha but minor things overall was a brilliant stay and would love to return again! X thank you

Amazing house
Just back from staying here and loved everything about it! The house location is great the sun is in the pool from 10am right through till early evening which is great they have a toilet downstairs which was ideal for my parents so they didn’t have to tackle the stairs each time they needed to use the bathroom

Simplesmente maravilhoso. Foi uma estadia formidável, a vila é exatamente o que está anunciado e supera pela positiva. Uma piscina com dimensões muito boas, uma localização que não há palavras. Era uma zona que não conhecia e fiquei surpreendido pela positiva, praias divinais, arrisco mesmo a dizer que das melhores praias do Algarve.

We had an extremely enjoyable week in the Villa in Burgau. The Villa had almost everything you could need. Only slight drawback for us as a family with 18 month old, was lack of stair gate to stop access to concrete stairs, and also around the pool, when the tiles get wet they were very slippery.
In terms of communication though, owner was first class at keeping in touch when we had any queries etc, and local support was also available.
All in all, this property offers a lot with small pool and plenty of outside space, with access to sun on patio areas from the moment it rises until sunset. The property is well equipped and the en-suite bathroom to the main bedroom has obviously been recently renovated and is of a high quality.

Burgau Villa
The Villa is within walking distance of Burgau beach and restaurants which is great. The two bedrooms both with en-suites are a good size. The second bedroom has 2 single beds that don’t push together for a couple. Both bedrooms need new pillows. The pool is lovely and kept beautifully clean. As can be seen by the photo the outside is very basic - could be made to look a bit more homely with some pot plants or similar. The furniture is dated but clean and comfortable. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much and I would recommend this villa.

We spend a wonderful 10-days at the villa in april. Very quiet and relaxing. The villa had everything we needed and is very good maintained. The pool was still a little bit too cold for us. We can recommend the beautiful walk to Salema. What a nice piece of spoiled Algarve. We loved the fantastic beachbars! We hope to return soon. Thank you Marleen, Hilde, Danny and Benny.

Our third visit to this quiet, spacious and private end terraced villa, with all day sun areas and pool to cool down and have fun! Hilde is a please to deal with when booking. This is followed up by a friendly, professional service from Candida during our stay. The four of us again enjoyed the many small restaurants and shops, not forgetting the entertaining Glaswegian with his friendly tuk tuk service. Another fab week in this traditional village, which has brilliantly avoided the commercialism of many other destinations. Will be back.

Un havre de paix
Nous avons passé un magnifique séjour du 04/08 au 31/08 dans se petit coin de paradis. Si vous désirez vous retrouvez en famille à tête reposé à 5 min à pied de la plage , promenade, resto, etc... alors c est le bon endroit. Tres jolie maison confortable , propre, vous n avez besoin de rien de plus que votre envie de passer un séjour inoubliable. Je tenais aussi à remercier Candid la femme de ménage qui est sur place, un sourire à chaque fin de phrase. Merci aussi à Hilde pour sa confiance et de nous avoir permis de découvrir une région magnifique, un village authentique avec toutes ses commodités. A bientôt Zohra & CO ;-)

Second visit and just like coming home. Great 9 days and getting to know the fabulous surroundings and walks around Burgau. Revisiting local shops and restaurants was lovely, with many genuinely remembering us from last visit in September. Thank you again. Looking forward to our next visit.

The accommodation was so clean and well organised .
The area was close to the town centre and only a five minute walk to the beach.

Didn't want to come home!
Well equipped villa with all day sun around the pool and 2 seating areas. Pool small but great for plunging and playing as the adult children did! With all the facilities we could ask for and private end of street location, we all enjoyed a relaxing week in pretty, quiet fishing village. Prompt assistance at hand if needed. Numerous small and family run restaurants with good tasty food (booking at least 2 days in advance recommended as very busy). Beach bar - brilliant - and swim in the sea essential. If you get the change, try local tuk tuk. Brilliant week, thank you. Portugal a must return to explore more.

Great villa in a great location
We had a fantastic holiday in this lovely villa in the village of Burgau. From the booking to arrival we had great information from the owners and the villa matched the description on the site. We had the pleasure of meeting the owners in a great restaurant, they were very kind and considerate.
Burgau is a sleepy fishing village with a great beach and sufficient restaurants and bars to suit most tastes and budgets.
It is a couple of minutes walk to nearest restaurant and 5 minutes to the main area/beach (down a fairly steep slope).
We hope to return soon and would certainly recommend this villa.
