Fabulous property in a tranquil setting. The mountain and sea views are simply stunning. A fully equipped and comfortable house in private and peaceful surroundings. Pictures can’t do it justice, you have to be there to appreciate it’s beauty.

Villa Daphni is simply stunning - spectacular views, big open living spaces, gorgeous bedrooms, super kitchen, it was perfect for our large family group - gave us all the space we needed. Agia Efimia is nearby, a lovely little harbourside village with a small supermarket and fabulous bakery. In October, many restaurants were closed but we enjoyed a lovely authentic meal in the local taverna.

The villa was well equipped and comfortable. George greeted us though we didn't arrive until after midnight due to our flight times and was helpful throughout our stay and arranged a visit from Christina who shared with us places to visit on Kefalonia as it was our first trip which was really helpful. The house was cleaned halfway through the holiday - fresh bedding and towels. The villa is in an excellent location to explore the north part of Kefalonia - there is a local taverna you can walk to or short drive to more cafes/restaurants and local supermarkets. Short drive to great beaches. We would return if we ever go back to Kefalonia

This villa is absolutely gorgeous! The property is perfect , comfortable , spacious with beautiful views across the valley to the sea and Ithaca beyond. Fotini George and Kristina are all exceptionally friendly welcoming and helpful and gave us fabulous tips on the house and the best places to visit .
I would definitely go back to this villa again !!

Perfect stay in Kefalonia
A lovely villa, in a beautiful location with outstanding views. Ideal for our party of seven adults (young (20s), older (50s) and oldest (70s). The rooms are all very well proportioned and can all easily accommodate couples. Good facilities for outdoor and indoor cooking. A great pool for swimming and floating. The local taverna has great food and is only 15 minutes walk away. We enjoyed our stay, and were made to feel incredibly welcome by George ( the local manager of the villa) who made sure everything was just right for our stay.

A fabulous villa - we'll be back
Thia villa is amazing and I heartily recommend staying here! It's as beautiful as the photos, and in a wonderful relaxing location. We stayed as a large family group with children, and everyone had a great time relaxing by or playing in the pool, using the BBQ and enjoying the fantastic view. It's lovely and clean, with a well stocked kitchen. There is a small village about 10 mins easy walk, definitely visit the taverna there as it is excellent food. Agia Effemia is a drive, but a short one - the tavernas there were also great, and we rented boats there one day to visit local beaches not accessible by road which was a wonderful day. There is also an excellent dive shop there.
Special mention to George for looking after us so well! We arrived late and he organised a lovely dinner of local meze for us. We had a problem with one of our rental cars and he sorted it no problem.
We really enjoyed this holiday and this villa - it is a special place. You won't regret booking it!

A slice of paradise
We just came back from a 2 week stay at Villa Daphni. Although there were only 2 couples, we decided to spoil ourselves with this 5 bedroom villa for our first stay in Kefalonia.
From the initial booking to our departure, the friendly communication, excellent service and attention to detail has set this place apart from the rest. Fotini, the owner, has been very helpful in answering enquiries. Her staff have been amazing. George, the manager, is the sweetest and most generous man, who made us feel very welcome and special with unexpected gifts of his own vegetables and oil, and even a cooked and delivered meal one evening! Koula, the cleaner, did a great job too, as did Nick, the pool man. A big surprise was that the morning after our arrival, we had a visit from Christina to advise us of all the places to see on the island, which was incredibly helpful.
We felt very lucky that the villa's location is so perfect and the view is stunning. A 5-minute drive to Agia Effimia, 20-minute walk to the village of Makriotika, or 10-minute drive to Myrtos Beach. This is proper Greece, no huge resorts full of crowds in this part of the island, but also all the amenities required.
The villa itself has an abundance of thoughtful touches. Well-stocked kitchen, laundry, TV room and PC, as well as books and games - even sunhats! The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable. The towels are top quality and were changed regularly. We were delighted with our choice.
The memories of relaxing by the pool, with only the sounds of goat bells and cicadas, with the occasional peacock call, will stay with us forever. It was a fabulous holiday on an unspoilt island, with typical Greek hospitality. Staying at Villa Daphni was the icing on the cake!

Villa Daphni - A Real Gem
We had a wonderful stay at Villa Daphni. From the moment we arrived ( being met by the wonderful George), to the minute we left.
There was a welcome pack with beer, wine, greek Yoghurt etc.
The villa is in a wonderful location on the side of the Pilarei Valley with an unbelievable view across the valley.
Peaceful and quiet, the only sound is the Goat bells and Peacocks in the Valley.
The Villa was immaculate with the towels and bedding and the pool serviced every other day.
The villa is about 3km from the harbour at Agia Effimia where there are plenty of Restaurants with excellent food.
Take a short work into Makriotika. The Nixterida restaurant does the most fantastic Goat chops.
We couldn't have wished for a more relaxed and perfect holiday, and will be returning as soon as possible, hopefully next year!!
Thank you for a wonderful stay Fotini and George.

Fantastic Villa
The best villa we have ever stayed in, very spacious, excellent location, amazing views. George went above and beyond nothing was too much trouble. The village had an excellent restaurant very friendly atmosphere and again the views across the bay were amazing. Agia Efimia which is around 5 mins drive is beautiful lots of choice of restaurants that overlook the picturesque harbour. Our favourite was Perusima the food is excellent and staff were really friendly. It was our third visit to this beautiful island and we would visit again. You will not be disappointed Kefelonia has lots to offer everyone and the amazing villa we rented was the icing on the cake.

Wow!
Fantastic villa with amazing views. Loved waking up to the sound of the goats bells jingle jangling on the hillsides. Villa was very tastefully decorated, very comfortable and well equiped. We were very well looked after by George and his small team. Agia Efimia was delightful with plenty of restaurants and a few shops/supermarkets including bakery and butchers. We also hired a boat from here and explored hidden coves. A car is needed to explore all the island. It is a 5 min drive to Agia Efimia by car and about a 30 min walk downhill. We would thoroughly recommend this villa as a perfect holiday destination seeking tranquility.

We feel so fortunate to have been able to stay at Fotini's most stunning villa. We really did not want to leave! Kefalonia was somewhere we had always planned to travel to after having Greek friends who came from the Island and they would always encourage us to visit; telling us about the friendly people and beautiful landscapes. We wanted to find authentic Greece and whilst sitting out every morning and evening, seeing the sights and listening to the sound of distant Goat bells, we certainly had our wish. The villa itself is perfect and attention to detail the best we have ever experienced. I must say we had a week of smiling to ourselves thinking how lucky we were to have found Villa Daphni, and being selfish we wanted to keep it secret and not share this villa with anyone, but it has to, because it is just so beautiful!! Holiday memories are not always just because of the wonderful places you have visited and places you have stayed in but also and most importantly because of the people you meet and when we arrived we met Georgios....! He made us feel so welcome all throughout our stay providing us with such overwhelming kindness, consideration and generosity. A stay at Villa Daphni is a combination of beauty, peace, thoughtfulness and compassion all rolled into one!. Thank you so much from the Booths

Superlative! Absolutely perfect!
We had high hopes for this villa and it did not disappoint in the slightest. It feels remote and secluded, with every window opening onto beautiful views and no houses in close proximity, but it's a walk to the best taverna we ever found on the island and a quick hop in the car to Myrtos and to the cozy harbor of Ag. Efimia with its sweep of tavernas facing its marina.
Dining under the grape vines, lazing by the pool, we all kept saying "this is the life". If you're even thinking about it, book it! Plus ramped access to the ground floor with its master bedroom makes this an option for wheelchairs -- although the ramps are steep at points. Whoever is pushing will get great legs.

Magnificent
Not only is the villa stunningly decorated and appointed and are the views breathtaking, what really made us happy is the loving care of the owner and the caretaker for the villa. It is just anything you can wish for, with loads and loads of privacy. It was just wonderful...
Wholeheartedly recommended.

What a wonderful place
I have been to Kefalonia quite a few times but never to such a beautiful villa and village. The villa is just outstanding, so tastefully and gorgeously decorated, with even freshly picked flowers changed every few days! Set in the mountainside above the lovely harbour of Agia Effimia the villa affords a magnificent view of both sea and mountain. Everything you could possibly wish for is there, a superb pool, outside dining area under the vines and enormous BBQ.
We had an amazing 10 days enjoying all that this fabulous villa and island had to offer. Our party ranged from 7 -70years old and everyone couldn't rate it more highly.
For me I was especially concerned as it was my first holiday in a wheelchair. I needn't have been, although not 'wheelchair adapted' it worked perfectly for me.
Oh and how could I forget George! The most charming and helpful host who greeted us with
so much more than a smile and couldn't do enough to make our stay a great experience. Fotini the owner was so easy to book with and again could not be more helpful.
I want to go back and back and back for many years to come.

Perfect location for an early summer stay
We came away for a week at the beginning of May 2014 for a relaxing week away and Villa Dafni was the perfect location. A wonderful villa itself, within very close vicinity of good and very reasonable tavernas, a warm welcome was offered everywhere we went. Would definitely recommend for groups of couples like us who want to chill out away from it all but within a stone's throw of good food and wine.

BEAUTIFUL VILLA
Villa Daphne is a most beautiful villa in the loveliest area of Kefalonia. You feel like you are staying in the most exquisite boutique hotel all to yourself...it is perfectly located with wonderful views and yet near the stunning Myrtos beach - we also loved the fishing villages of Assos and Fiscardo. Another great outing is hiring a boat from Agia Efimia (only 5 minutes away) and swimming in deserted coves.
I loved the feel of the villa - elegant yet minimal and informal - and it is very well appointed (Miele dishwasher etc)...plenty of storage in the bedrooms and each one had amazing views...also the beds are incredibly comfortable. Great having wifi and a computer - we never got round to using the home cinema.
We were so well looked after - George gave us a very warm welcome and farewell and nothing was too much trouble. Also enjoyed the regular maid service and clean soft white towels every couple of days.
We hope to return soon.

Beautiful villa in Kekalonia
Villa Daphni is a lovely, very well appointed, beautifully decorated, clean and very well-maintained villa. It is perfectly situated (hardly ten minutes' drive from stunning Myrtos beach where we drove practically every day...).
It is one of the best villas we have rented in Greece, probably because it is equipped according to much higher standards than most vacation villas. Fotini, the owner, and George who takes care of the villa are very helpful and everything is done to make guests feel welcome and at home.
We would definitely recommend this villa.

Villa Daphni
This villa was beautiful and far exceeded our expectations even though we had seen all the photos on the website. It was very clean, well cared for and well equipped with high quality fixtures and fittings (even Wifi and an Apple Mac and home cinema in the basement!). The villa has been rebuilt sympathetically in line with the original house and local architecture and has a unique position in the valley with a view to the sea down towards Agia Efimia.
The owner Fotini is very helpful responding promptly to emails and we met George on our arrival who looks after the property and was very welcoming.
We enjoyed visiting the local area and went on several occasions to Assos only a short drive away and had very good meals in the tavernas there and enjoyed the fresh fish. The road next to the villa is quiet and we sat outside on the terrace every evening admiring the view with a glass of wine and a BBQ (meat from the butcher in Agia Efimia) while the children were asleep.
We would definitely recommend this villa to friends and family - it's the best place we've ever stayed at in Greece and we are already planning our return trip. It was perfect for us (2 families with 4 young children) - lots of space, amazing scenery, good location, quite private nestled on side of hill but easy to get to local amenities (although we didn't walk as nearest shop/taverna a bit too far for the little ones).
The only small criticism I have is that we did have some difficulty finding the villa when we first arrived as the directions on the website (from Google maps) are poor although the villa is actually very easy to find if you are directed to the right place!
Thank you for a fantastic holiday!

Spoilt rotten
Villa Daphni is by far and away the best holiday house I've ever stayed in - it may be the nicest house I've visited in any context at all! Amazing modern comforts and high standards - the house has been decorated beautifully and all the fittings, from air con and dishwasher to the cheese grater and can opener, are of a really high quality. Each bedroom had its own special charm.
It was a delight to have a secluded outdoor pool with views across the valley and down to the sea. Watching and listening to the dawn from there - as the world woke up one sound at a time (goat bells - cockrel - cicadas - birdsong - barking - delivery vans) was something I'll remember for a long time.
I didn't quite make it round the whole island in a week(!) , but from my experience Agia Ephimia is one of the nicest towns on Kefalonia.
I can't recommend this holiday enough.

Villa Daphni 08.08.10 - 15.08.10
Having driven through Europe for a week we were absolutely exhausted when we got to the villa but perked up immediately we got inside.
It is extremely spacious both inside and out and has everything you could possibly need; the kitchen is particularly well equipped with more crockery and pots and pans than I've got in my own house. There is a TV in every room and two eating areas - one inside and one out. The views from the villa were beautiful and the location is extremely peaceful but only a short drive to the nearest resort.
The owner / George was lovely and couldn't have done more for us. With a great sense of humour, which he needed with our party, nothing was too much trouble. Any problem, not that there were any major ones, was sorted immediately - he even made a special trip up to the villa when there was a major power cut in the area to let us know exactly what was happening and when we could expect the electricity to be back on. He also arranged for an English ex-pat living in the area to come and tell us about the locality, where we could get anything we needed and what there was to see.
In addition, Georges's staff who came in to clean were very nice. In fact, anybody associated with ensuring we had a good holiday was extremely nice and did a superb job.
The villa is immaculately clean on arrival and was cleaned another twice during the week we were there. The swimming pool is also cleaned twice a week.
I would not hesitate to recommend this villa to a friend or relative. Indeed, I and my friend intend to book another two weeks in 2011 and hope to take some more friends and relatives with us.
There is plenty to see and do on Kefalonia and with a car you wiould see lots of beautiful and interesting places.
Thanks to George and the crew for a wonderful stay. We look forward to seeing you in 2011.

Villa Daphni
With a lush view across to the mountains and beyond, the villa is located just off the road, providing privacy and peace, yet you're just a short five minute drive away from pretty Agia Efimia, and a ten-minute walk from the nearest local taverna. Agia Efimia has all your could seek in terms of shops, bars, restaurants, pharmacy etc, yet it's a pretty bay that still retains much of its Greek charm and friendliness to visitors. It's also a great place to hire a boat and explore the private bays on the west side of the island which can't be reached by road.
Villa Daphni is very comfortable and welcoming with air-con in every room and its own sense of modern style with some little luxurious touches. Attention has been paid to detail: the beds, the decor and the outdoor dining have all been designed to enhance your stay. We found it a wonderful house to relax in, and while the pool isn't huge it is certainly clean and well-maintained. And as you're also just 15 minutes or so from Myrtos beach with its famous turquoise waters, certainly one of the most beautiful beaches I've seen anywhere in the world, that didn't worry us. George, who looks after the house, is a great character and well-known for his Kefalonian hospitality, and we were also visited by his English friend Alison who very kindly gave up her time to share some of the island's highlights with us. They couldn't have been nicer.

Great villa with good views -close to Mirtos beach
We had a great stay at Villa Daphni and wouldn't hesitate recommending it. The villa was very well equipped - fantastic views, lovely large kitchen, dining and lounge area. A good sized pool, barbeque and seating outside. The villa can easily accommodate 10 adults. Close to great beaches. The owner Fotini was also very helpful.

Villa Daphni- Kefalonia- great place
We stay here for two weeks at the end of july with 6 adults and 5 children (aged 7,8,9,11,12)
This house is such a wonderful place that you never want to leave. The facility, the location, the view-unique. If you sit in the moonlight before the house, the moon is reflected in the sea, the night bird sings, and you get the smell of thyme in the nose, you want to be here forever. An excellent house-maid service, which even brings fresh flowers every time. And George, the caretaker, a wonderful man who helps every one everytime out of trouble and who is alsways in a great mood .... It was great for our children, as they have always discovered new places where they could play, that they once had no interest in the pool. The location is wonderful for beach friends, you could reachin 10-20minutes the Myrtos or Kyriaki Beach (you can get here, even sand!) And it is wonderful after a day in overcrowded south of the island with many hotels and crowded beaches to be back in the Villa Daphni.... grilling fresh fishes and enjoy the silence (when the kids are in bed ...). We would always come back!!!!!!

Villa Daphne
An amzing villa in a stunning location. We received a very warm welcome from George and would recommend this villa to everybody. The fittings are of the highest standard and the whole property is beautifully clean. It is only 5 minutes from Agia Efefima by car where there are a host of tavernas, the best being the Pergola and To Peresmas.5 star plus.
