We spent a week at Villa Toscane. It was totally perfect! The process of booking and communicating with the owner beforehand was easy. The check-in was welcoming and uncomplicated. And the villa...well, the villa, the pool and the location are incredible. A hidden gem on the hillside and it felt very special to be staying there. Its possible to get around with an Uber (just allow a bit of time) and there is a bus to Beaulieu at the top of the road about a 5 minute walk. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a property big enough for a group of 8 to have enough space but with cosy and characterful communal spaces to cook and eat and enjoy time together. We'd certainly love to go back!

Gil and Isabelle’s Villa was absolutely stunning. The night our friends arrived, we had dinner outside around the pool overlooking the incredible views. After a day touring the Cote D’Azur, it was always nice to return to a nice clean and spacious villa. The gardens surrounding the villa are beautifully kept, pristine, yet natural. I would highly recommend this villa for the ultimate South of France experience! Merci a Gil et Isabelle.

The Villa was perfect for a family of 6. Lots of space and beautiful views everywhere you look. After spending our days sightseeing, we appreciated coming back to the Villa and enjoying the pool and views in quiet on the patio. The grounds are beautifully cared for and the home is very clean. A quick Uber ride can get you to the train to take you wherever you want to go. Gil and Isabelle are excellent hosts who really went beyond to make sure all our questions were answered. Also, Gil always responded very timely to all emails leading up to and during our stay. We loved every part of our holidays and highly recommend this property & it’s hosts.

Villa La Toscane was everything we had hoped for and more. It is a much loved and cared for home, immaculate both inside and out. We felt very privileged to stay and Gil and Isabelle the perfect hosts, supportive and generous. We hope to return to this corner of paradise.

We stayed at the villa for 21 days in September. At times there were 4 adults and sometimes 6 adults. The view and the grounds of the villa were spectacular. There was even an herb garden with some fresh basil and thyme. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed for cooking. We had such a wonderful stay and enjoyed to spacious patio and pool area. There is also another table snd chairs in front that stays shaded all day and was perfect for the warmer days. The villa itself was very French with beautiful and comfortable. There were Mediterranean views from all 3 upstairs bedrooms. The bedroom below was spacious and had a seperate bath and work area. - the bedrooms all had their own air conditioning and seperate controls. The main living area was very comfortable for 6 people with ample seating and expansive views from inside the villa. We did not rent a car because we were not comfortable driving in the area but we’re able to get Uber lifts and groceries delivered daily or as needed. We also recommend hiring drivers for daily excursions and sight seeing tours as there are so many private tours available. The trains were accessible in Villefranche to go anywhere in France. We loved our stay. We are in our 60’s and our kids all in their 30’s and we had an incredible time. There were a lot of stairs up or down so make sure you can handle multiple levels - we had an amazing time. Perfect place to relax and unwind and to be home base to see the incredible region . The host was very nice and came by for check in and out. There were so many beautiful views even nights with full moon on the Mediterranean!

We had a wonderful stay at the villa. The property was very well equipped and is in a perfect location to explore the surrounding area.

Large house but difficult access although it gave privacy. Property in fair condition. We enjoyed our stay but a little disappointed in downstairs/basement suite. Car definitely needed to get about.

Beautiful spacious villa that is so well equipped that we could find everything we needed including in the kitchen. Friendly and helpful hosts. The swimming pool is a nice size to please both children and adults. We had a great week there!

Charmant accueil des propriétaires, réactifs au moindre problème. Maison agréable, toujours un coin d'ombre possible. Globalement bien équipée. Maison dans les hauteurs ce qui donne une sensation agréable de fraicheur, par contre voiture nécessaire pour tout commerce, balade... Plages à 15-20 min avec jolis fronts de mer. Arrière-pays sympathique pour les amoureux des balades escarpées, et des rivières avec peu de monde. Nous recommandons fortement cette location.

Diese schöne Villa ist sehr gepflegt, hat einen tollen Pool, viele Sitzgelegenheiten und ist perfekt ausgestattet. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Wir wurden freundlich empfangen und sehr gut betreut. Auf Anfragen wurde umgehend geantwortet. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt. Nur die Zufahrt war mit unserem großen Auto (VW T6) ein kleines Abenteuer, aber darauf wurde ja vorab schon hingewiesen.

Excellent séjour dans cette belle villa, très bien située, au calme, proche de la mer. Les propriétaires ont été très accueillants et réactifs. Merci. On reviendra.

Nous avons passé 3 semaines en famille à la Villa La Toscane et avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour. La maison est très belle, très fonctionnelle et tout à fait conforme aux photos. Gil et son épouse ont été des hôtes très agréables et disponibles. Merci à vous !

We enjoyed a wonderful week at this villa. We would recommend it to others and will, I am sure, return. We were met by the owners (who changed the time to match our flights) who went out of their way to make us comfortable in their former home. They clearly love the villa and are rightfully proud of it. We were two couples - which meant that we had lots of space - it would work for 6 easily, but 8 might be a little tight - especially given the number of bathrooms etc. The basement "suite" is really lovely and removed from the main part of the house and with its own access to the garden - and cool at night without needing to use the aircon. Swimming pool well maintained, chairs and seating areas ideal - you can avoid the sun if too hot - or have sun right into the evening if you want to. WiFi / TV etc all worked fine - and the owners are around if you have a problem. The "road" from the main road is very tight - as is the drive and the parking area - so a small car is advisable. But the location could not be better - 10 mins to the shops and to the sea. Overall - a lovely villa - exactly as per the description and a perfect host.

Perfect holiday

Mycket trevligt hus, vackert och högt beläget. Egentligen var allt mycket bra, men några små saker bör påpekas. Poolen ej uppvärmd, vilket gjorde att temperaturen som högst nådde 26°. Heltäckningsmattor i stora delar av huset. Vissa av sängarna extremt mjuka och inte så bekväma. Svagt wi-fi i källardelen. Fuktlukt i källardelen. Myror i köket (blev bättre efter att myrdosor lagts ut). Ingen butik i närheten, dvs man kan inte promenera och handla bröd etc, utan det tar 10-15 min att ta sig till närmaste butik/boulangerie/supermarket. Vägen fram till huset är mycket smal, och det kan vara svårt att ta sig fram om man har en lite större bil. Vi fick köpa sopsäckar, diskmedel osv när dessa tog slut, dvs inget större förråd av sådant fanns i huset. Med tanke på hyran hade det varit rimligt att slippa detta. Men i grunden som sagt mycket trevligt hus, vänliga värdar, rent och fräscht, fin pool, vacker utsikt.
