This home sits in a nice quiet neighborhood and horses are in the field next to the house. The scenery is just beautiful!

This was a great location for us. Very peaceful and close to our daughter who lives in Jonesborough. Great communication with the host. We felt right at home with the setting and the horses. We look forward to staying there again!

Wow this place was perfect for a race week stay. So peaceful and quiet. Loved the horses, two of them came over to fence along driveway to say hello when we pulled in :). Will stay here again next year. Thanks for sharing this place. I think someone is still present in the home, the worlds greatest grandma picture hit the floor around 4am the one night, lol :D

My husband and I wanted to see this part of Tennessee. Gary and Diane were a delight. I took my horse. Great service and we were surrounded by horses. The house is a typical country farm house, but we had plenty of room for guests. It's rustic and charming. We loved the deck and convenience to Jonesborough. We would stay again. You feel like your on a ranch in the middle of nowhere, yet all the highways to hiking, fishing, horse trails, and even the store was close. The Old Pancake house and Main Street Cafe had excellent food. Thanks Diane and Gary. Hope to see you soon.

The pictures don’t do this place justice! Very clean and tidy! We had everything we needed for the weekend. The dogs also had a nice big yard to run around in! We enjoyed seeing the horses everyday. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

We chose this location because of the proximity to the animals and it didn't disappoint! There is something very calming about horses, made the stay so enjoyable. Jonesborough was a delight as well, what a quaint little town.

Loved Jonesborough but place needs updated. Afraid to use tables etc so many antiques. Okay at a lower rate , not worth 150 a night

We loved the home! It was so peaceful and on a very quiet street. My husband and loved watching the students taking riding lessons at the stables across the street. Country feel but close to everything. Visit Jonesborough for a tour through history.

The hosts were great. We had a conflict in dates and the hosts allowed us to cancel with a full refund and allowed us to reschedule at a later date. The horses were great. They came right up to the fence for some amazing photos.

Quiet and comfortable
Ma and Pas place was very comfortable and homey. Quiet and safe at the end of a quiet street and right next to the beautiful horses that loved to visit. We watched them for hours! The internet was perfect for both my wife and I to work on zoom calls for the month we stayed. The kitchen was fairly well stocked and there is plenty of room to spread out. Mr. and Mrs. Miller were extremely helpful and very responsive. We had a situation where the Air conditioner failed, but they made other arrangements for us and worked with the Repair company to fix it right away. The good news is there is a new system that kept the house very comfortable. The town is also very quaint and we enjoyed the Main Street area and several local restaurants. We would definitely stay again!

A wedding a graduation and a birthday
It was a very relaxing place to stay. We enjoyed the horses that surrounded the house. My dog was able to play freely. The children who visited us were so excited

Great place
We stayed for three months on and off for work and it was a great place. It had plenty of room, way more than we needed, and the property was nice. We had to bring our pups every now and then and the fenced in yard was great for them. Would return if we ever needed a place up there again! The area is also really nice. I would take daily walks and all of the neighbors were friendly and I felt safe.

Great location, rural but central
First, the location was excellent for our purposes. Close to Bristol and shopping but it felt like a country getaway. Our hosts were SO easy to work with, I’d absolutely recommend them from that aspect. However, I honestly have to say that the cleanliness was an issue. On the surface, it looked okay, but once we settled in, we saw where the house had not been deep cleaned. Cobwebs and a layer of dust, crumbs in one bed, moldy towels in the laundry hamper, sticky substances on salt and pepper shakers. That sort of thing. In the hosts’ defense we didn’t call them since we were only there two nights. Instead, we just took care of it ourselves.
Again, these hosts were awesome, the location was fabulous, and the price was excellent. But for that one issue, the stay was perfect.

Horses
We had a nice time. It would’ve been better if we’d been able to touch the horses.
(Also, fans in the secondary bedrooms would’ve been a plus.)
Overall, we enjoyed the house.
Thank you for your hospitality.

Perfect location for family dogs and Bristol Motor Speedway
This property is the perfect spot for a family retreat. It was our first time visiting Tennessee and it was great place to meet up with our adult children who traveled from Charleston SC and Carlisle PA. The location is close to the Bristol Motor Speedway and restaurants were easily accessible in Jonesborough (down the road) and Johnson City.
We even fit a day trip into visit some of the breweries in Asheville NC.
Waking up to see the horses outside was a real treat that got better when the horses decided to visit us regularly. Gary and Diane have created a warm comfortable home. And they were super flexible when our race was delayed to the last day of our visit and they graciously allowed us to keep our dogs there until after the race ended! We would like to make this an annual family gathering. If you’re looking for a dog friendly family vibe this is it! Thanks Gary and Diane!

Weekend stay for the Bristol Race
My husband and friends stayed at the house for a guys weekend trip for the Bristol Race. The house was close enough to travel to the track. The was house was clean and ready for them upon arrival! The hosts were accommadating and pleasant to converse with thank you for that! They really enjoyed going out in the morning and seeing the horses and taking in the scenery. Beautiful property and pleasant experience for them. We would definitely stay at this property again!!! Thank you so much

First of all, we had trouble finding a hotel room that included nights over this weekend because of the race coming up, so just know we ARE grateful for the place to stay. A warm home, warm beds and clean towels on some wet and/or cold nights. Thank you for that ... truly.A couple of things. There was a review about clutter and how it felt like staying in someone else’s home instead of a true vacation home. It still feels that way. We did find an old cassette with “Memory” played on the flute and my daughter enjoyed playing that on the sound system immensely! But all the STUFF ... even stuff all over the kitchen counters that made it hard to find a spot to put down groceries on the first night. I read your welcome note and I understand about it being “Ma” and “Pa’s” place and I can appreciate the sentiment involved with that but it would have been nice to feel a little more at home and less like a visitor. Also, about the cleanliness. There was a review about dust bunnies under the bed found when looking for a stray sock. Unfortunately, they are still there. And at some point someone with a long-haired, shedding dog stayed at the house (which is ok, I LOVE dogs ... I brought mine but he doesn’t shed and I swept up after him!) and the brown cover for the couch could stand to be washed because every time you sat down on it you were instantly covered in dog hair. Even the kitchen trash can needed to be wiped down. I tried but my Clorox wipe didn’t really touch it. I asked before the stay about the cleaning fee and was told it was required because of strict COVID cleaning requirements. And yet, if I can just be honest, it didn’t feel like past cleaning fees have been put to good use. Perhaps mine will be.As for the hotspot issue, I do apologize. I understand it comes from Verizon and that means data but everything is going to unlimited these days and I didn’t even think about that not being the case here. I could have asked, but that also could have been communicated better because I did say that I needed to work from the house a little.Lastly, I understand paying for cable when no one is there could be cost prohibitive but a heads up that we would only get 6 local channels would have been nice. It does say Satellite TV in the amenities.Thank you again. We loved the view and it was truly a joy hanging with the horses! I don’t want to sound harsh or unthankful. We did have a few issues, though.

Life in the Country
We are from a large city so spending time in a rural setting was special for us. We loved the fall leaves, the horses and the walks we took along the road. The beds were very comfortable and we had our family over for dinner one night. The front porch was especially relaxing with a view of the hills and pasture. It was a quiet, idyllic six days!

Cozy, Comfortable with Great views!
This home was very clean and very cozy. There were 4 of us that stayed there with 3 BR & 2 baths, which was just right. My family is very appreciative of such a wonderful place and people who own it (Gary & Diane) to be so accommodating and with it so close to our Family in Tennessee to visit anytime.
Thank you!

Good location; pretty surroundings
The place was clean and as described in the ad. Beds were comfy! Check in was as easy as could be, and the hosts were quick to respond to any communication. The place was a bit cluttered, which gives it a homey feel but also made it a bit cumbersome when we unpacked and had our things intermixed. Downside for us was no wi-fi, but I should have noted this in the ad. Great place to have dogs!!

Great place but could be a little better
We really enjoyed this place and the owners are very attentive. I get the theme they are going for and that is it’s literally like you’re going to a ma and pa’s place but it would be nice if you depersonalized it. I think you could keep the feel of family’s house but removed personal items. Other than that it needs a good spring cleaning. I dropped a pair of socks that went under the bed and you could tell it’s not had a thorough cleaning. Remove old food items. Felt to much like we were staying in someone’s home we didn’t know which is uncomfortable instead of a vacation rental.
