A traditional 3 bedroomed farmhouse close to St Andrews
Neu auf dem Markt für die Ferienzeit 2018. Ein wunderschön renoviertes traditionelles Bauernhaus mit drei Schlafzimmern auf dem Strathtyrum Estate in der Nähe des beliebten Balgove Larder Farmshops und Restaurants. Das Haus liegt zwischen dem belebten Balgove Larder-Komplex und der Hauptstraße zum Strathtyrum House mit eigenem Gartengrundstück und privatem Parkplatz. Das Haus auf drei Ebenen ist von ländlichem Charme geprägt und bietet einen hervorragenden Ausgangspunkt, um alles zu entdecken, was St. Andrews zusammen mit dem weiteren Osten von Neuk zu bieten hat. Nur eine Meile außerhalb von St. Andrews, aber auf dem Land ist es ein ideales Haus für Golfpartys und Familien.

We had a wonderful stay. The staff on the estate were very helpful and the house was perfect. Beds were comfortable & the location was absolutely perfect for our golf adventure. We will be back soon!

A wonderful location. So close to St Andrews but with a country feel. Home is quite spacious for four adults and a child. Very comfortable. Welcome goodies were a great surprise and a real treat. The farm shop, cafe and steak barn next door are amazing. A very comfortable stay. Would come again.

A farmhouse next door to the bountiful Balgove Larder to supply us with wonderful meals and groceries, in an historic estate that has been tied to St Andres Links for centuries, this was an ideal location for our party of five. So close to town but in the country. The farmhouse had lots of charm, comfortable beds and sizeable rooms. The kitchen and sitting areas were a bonus.

Our stay at this lovely farmhouse right next to Balgove Larder was perfect from start to finish— the home was warm and inviting, with a well equipped kitchen, cozy sitting room and 3 bedroom. Right next door is the amazing farm store/cafe that was a delight, and across the road was ready access to a cycle and walking path where we walked the breataking golf course each morning. Communication with the property owner was A+ as well. A perfect stay in every way! Many thanks.

Our group of 6 friends & family had a wonderful time exploring St Andrews, sharing meals together in the kitchen dining area & visiting Balgive Larder & Steak Barn. Charming farmhouse tucked next to gourmet grocery and rustic restaurant
We enjoyed our stay at this property very much. The few little issues that arose were addressed quickly, which is all one can ask for. Walking to St. Andrews was enjoyable (about 1 mile along the golf course) and evenings were peaceful and quiet. After a very noisy rental in the heart of Old Town Edinburgh during the Fringe, the quiet setting was incredibly appreciated.
The house is less than 100 yards from the Balgove Larder, a gorgeous gourmet grocery store and The Steak Barn restaurant, which is pretty much just what it sounds like. Both added to our enjoyment of the stay. It is worth noting that the house is very close to the backside of some farm building, so you do see some equipment and trucks out the kitchen door. We did not mind this. but some people might.
The kitchen was well-equipped and stocked with some delicious treats from the Balgove Larder, including coffee, milk, tea, sausages, bread and fresh eggs, which meant we could fix a delicious breakfast on our first morning. I should add that the beds were very comfortable. We would definitely consider renting this property again.

Beautiful Farm Cottage Feels Like Home!
Our family group enjoyed enjoyed so many aspects of our (too-brief!) stay at Straththyrum Cottage. The kitchen is sunny and roomy and invites family gatherings around the big table. Evenings were just cool enough that we could justify a fire in the cozy living room. Bed rooms and beds were comfortable, and the two bathrooms nicely updated. And the cottage was very clean. The delicious treats we found upon arrival, as well as the vouchers for a free coffee, led us to Balgove Larder next door, where much time and money were spent. We only wish we could have stayed longer, and we will hope for another visit in the future.
