Perfect location, amazing villas with so much space. Comfortable beds, good showers, lovely decor. Friendly staff and great breakfast. Literally a couple of minutes walk to Hiriketiya beach. Also the yoga was amazing and the yoga space was fantastic. The rooms are much brighter than in the photos - the photos don't do it justice!

The room was a good size and was very clean. The small balcony looked out over the garden and the breakfast was good with some variation each day. The staff were helpful when asked for information. The property was very close to Hiriketiya beach and close to Dikwella beach. Plenty of local places to eat to suit a range of pockets.

We booked an apartment. There was a kitchen area but no pans to use to cook. We got plates when we asked for some. There was no safe in the room. The list said there would be a tea and coffee maker and a dishwasher and an extra toilet. There was a kettle, a sink but no extra toilet. Just a bit misleading and then made it not the value for money it appeared to be. On the afternoon of our last day I looked at the menu and was told we could order until 8pm. When we went down at 18.30 the restaurant was closed. Not a huge issue as there were other places to eat but again misleading.

Beautiful big and spacious room with lots of greenery around. Also loved having a gym there. It was in such a good spot between Hiriketiya and Dikwella, meaning you could walk to both beaches.

It was pretty expensive, but definitely worth it for the beautiful room, gym and pool!

Den här platsen var otrolig! Så lugnt och fridfullt, så vackert och atmosfären var något speciellt! Vi var där med våra 2 barn på 2,5 år och 4 månader och personalen var så goa, de ville busa och ta hand om dem hela tiden! Vi är så tacksamma över att när vi kom tidigt tidigt på morgonen hjälpte dem oss att hålla väskorna och låna ut ett litet minirum så vi bara kunde ligga ner för en stund. Vi har även fått hjälp med transfer mellan flygplats och våra andra boende, detta med bilbarnstolar också! (Även om det är sådär oavsett på Sri Lanka så var det bättre än inget alls). Poolen på hotellet är wow wow, lagom stor! Vårt rum (familjerum med djungelutsikt) var ÖVER förväntan, ville nästan inte lämna rummet haha! Yogan och shalan var också så himla fin! Det här boendet ligger precis mellan 2 stränder, närmast Hiriketyia Beach, en ganska brant backe ner och tillbaka men väldigt nära, tar 2 minuter ner och där ligger massor med älskvärda caféer och restauranger + andra yogaställen! På andra hållet ligger Dikwella Beach, kanske 5-10 minuters promenad, en större och bredare strand men lite mer långgrunt och strömt! Vi älskade Hiriketyia Beach bäst och solnedgångarna på Dikwella Beach! Ett plus om du surfar är att du kan låna bräda här på boendet! Frukosten var bra, god frukt, toast, smoothie och lite annat + att du kunde be om äggröra eller omelett! Vi är otroligt nöjda och tacksamma för denna vistelse!

Fantastisk rum hela anläggningen var så fridfullt designen var otrolig och personalen var väldigt vänliga åker gärna tillbaka. Apor runt boendet som var väldigt roliga att titta på.

This was the most gorgeous little place we’ve stayed in Sri Lanka. The bed was huge and comfortable, the shower was hot and powerful, it had a lovely seating area and everything we needed for our break from hostels. We had lovely little monkey visitors visit at our window on a morning. Hiriketiya beach is the best place we’ve been in Sri Lanka and at this hotel you’re right on it.

The only thing I was be mindful of is that if you’re wanting to pay by card you will be charged an extra 3%, so make sure you take cash out of the ATM prior to your stay.

Upea paikka, ja mahtava henkilökunta. Aamiainen todella hyvä, tuore ja vaihteleva. Rauhallinen huone ja hyvä napakka patja. Ilmastointi toimi hyvin, ja hotellilla oli myös varavirtajärjestelmä sähkökatkojen varalle. Sijainti loistava, hieman sivussa rannan vilskeestä mutta kuitenkin aivan vieressä. Plussaa myös mahdollisuudesta täyttää omia vesipulloja. Oman vierailumme aikana käytössämme oli hotellilla neljä surffilautaa, joita sai käyttää! Aamuinen joogatunti upeassa maisemassa. Hiriketiya oli yksi parhaista paikoista joissa olemme koskaan lomailleet, ja Serene Villalla ja sen henkilökunnalla oli tähän asiaan suuri vaikutus!

Kadun toisella puolella oleva ravintola soitti viikonloppuna illalla musiikkia, mutta onneksi oli korvatulpat mukana. Kaappitilaa olisimme kaivanneet vähän lisää, koska majoituimme yli viikon ja tavaraa oli paljon. Muuten en keksi pahaa sanottavaa!

We really enjoyed our stay, we were travelling with our one year old baby and everyone was very kind and helpful. The room was amazing with jungle view, you could sea the monkeys everyday jumping around in the trees. It's an easy 1 walk to the Hiri beach which was also great. Definitely recommend!

We liked everything about this accommodation & our stay. The room was gorgeous and very comfortable with good AC and a lovely bathroom. The breakfast was buffet style but extremely fresh and you can order eggs for free or real coffee for a small extra cost! We also had the pleasure of taking the morning yoga classes on the rooftop which has been a highlight of our trip! Ishan went above and beyond to ensure we had a lovely time and has kindly organised our taxis for the remainder of our trip in Sri Lanka! Thank you so much Ishan!!

Nil but beware of the monkeys & keep your windows closed as one nearly entered our bathroom!

The property grounds were nicer than we expected given the price so we were really happy on arrival. The hotel is modern for Sri Lanka and the pool and gardens and outdoor sitting areas are really nice with Sri Lankan jungle vibes - we were happy hanging around the pool all day. Really close walk to the beach and main area of Hiriketiya. The rooms were clean and the staff were really really lovely and helpful. They looked after our surfboards for us and we felt like our property was safe here. Breakfast was a buffet with fruit, crepes, omelet’s, oats, juice and more. They had four good quality beginner surf boards you can borrow for free. There are monkeys hanging around the hotel but they’re not invasive like we’ve seen in other areas and we enjoyed having them around. Overall this was one of our favourite hotels in Sri Lanka and we’re going back to stay again.

There are no fly screens on the windows in the rooms so you can’t leave the windows open due to mosquitoes and monkeys. There are big fans over the beds though so mosquitos aren’t an issue as they can’t fly in the wind when the fans are turned on high so this wasn’t a problem. There’s quite a steep hill walking back to the hotel from the beach. This also wasn’t an issue for us but could be for older or disabled travellers. The wifi was good in the main hotel areas but not good in our room. They were installing new wires for the wifi during our stay though so it seems like they were already onto fixing this. Even with these issues it was still worth staying at the hotel.

L’assenza di privacy per i lavori con presenza costante di persone sulle scale che passavano a fianco della camera e del bagno che privi di adeguata protezione e tende impedivano l’adeguato isolamento. Il bagno non ha finestre ma solo delle liste di legno. il rumore provocato dai lavori oltre alla polvere e agli odori causati dallo sverniciatura e successiva riverniciatura della scala. Questo per 2 giorni. Nei successivi giorni i lavori si sono spostati al piano superiore con rumori pesanti. Una notte le persone della camera di fianco hanno fatto rumore , urla e schiamazzi, iniziando alle 2 fino oltre le 3.30 quando ho bussato alle loro finestre. Il local manager, a cui avevo mandato un whatsapp, non ha riscontro fino alla mattina dopo. Sulla porta della camera sono segnalato i numeri a cui rivolgersi in caso di necessità perché dicono ci tengono che il soggiorno sia il più sereno possibile. Il primo giorno abbiamo subito fatto presente le problematiche ai gestori che ci hanno rassicurato che i lavori si sarebbero conclusi il giorno stesso. Il giorno successivo quando abbiamo ribadito la problematica, visto che i lavori continuavano, l’unica soluzione proposta è stata quella di spostarci in un altra struttura, sempre gestita da loro, ma solo per due notti perché poi era piena senza sapere che tipo di camera ci avrebbero dato e senza colazione in struttura. Un soggiorno di 8 notti che abbiamo sfruttato solo per 7 perché esasperati siamo venuti via una notte prima. Il disagio è stato davvero alto e il costo speso, l’hotel è uno dei più cari in zona, non vale assolutamente il soggiorno. I gestori non hanno proposto alcun risarcimento nemmeno quando li abbiamo avvisati del reclamo che avremmo inoltrato a Booking che , lato suo, ha offerto un risarcimento pari circa a una notte.

The rooms are in a big cement building that we cannot see on the pictures. The surroundings of the building are dirty. The common areas are really small. No possibility of having dinner at the hotel.

We had an ant infestation in our bathroom, we notified the staff that came to clean it up a couple of times, but they didn’t do it thoroughly and after a few hours it was as bad as before.

We stayed our two last nights on a long trip through Sri Lanka at Serene to enjoy a bit of luxury. It‘s a great location, with a nice small pool and yummy breakfast. Beach is super close yet the Villa is in the quiet part on the left hand side of Hiri beach.

Door locks could use an upgrade and the safe needs to be bolted down. The bed could use a blanket.

Really wish we would have found this place sooner so we could have stayed longer. It has a very nice ambiance and friendly staff. Room is very nice and we loved the "outdoor" shower. Breakfast was excellent, yet modest. Location to the beach is very close, but just far away enough to not hear the music that sometimes is there.

We stayed in the family room and it was great for a family of 4. The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff were awesome and welcoming. It's like a little oasis away from the busy Hiriketiya beach. Highly recommend for families.
