We really enjoyed our stay here. Everything was perfect. Luxury room with stunning sea view. Beautiful swimming pool with restaurant and really kind staff. Amazing place for relaxation.

The room wasn’t clean enough, few bugs going around there. The A.C shutting down all the time. We have requested a private room for honeymoon vacation and to prepare the room for that and unfortunately didn’t get any of this.

Medium size hotel, very good managed by Head manager Jeanette, who helps in any questions by the best way. Good food and service in hotel restaurant. Our impression, one of the best hotels in Hiccaduva. Maybe the best.

First of all, the stay was great. We unfortunately got covid-19 positive and our trip got extenced due so. During this, Jeanette was the most helpfull and sweetest person you could imagine! Also, they have a very sweet jeweller, Ashker, who has the most beautiful sapphires, which they trade from the mines. He even took us out to see, how they made the different kind if jewellery.

What a treasure this hotel is. Wonderful owner, amazing staff and the location is just perfect... Away from the main Hikkaduwa beach which is quite dirty this hotel is situated right on the beach of a beautiful sandy stretch of beach which is great for swimming and experiencing the waves.... Surf schools are a 10 minute walk away on the beach. The food is great and the restaurant staff courteous and helpful. The cleaning is staff is just amazing, they service the room every day and the hotel is spotlessly clean and modern. Run by a Canadian owner this hotel is a little paradise to stay in...

Very nice hotel with a great pool and terrace facing the beachfront. Great breakfast, nice rooms, comfortable beds. Wifi worked well.

The best hotel I’ve stayed in Sri Lanka. We were in 4-5 hotels and that’s our best experience! great, friendly and helpful stuff. they really understand good English and we can understand each other easily. swimming pool was the best! clean pool and clean rooms! Location was in superb nice travel from busy hikkaduwa, The near beach was quiet and beatifull. Hotel owner and staff were amazing friendly. Breakfest was good with fresh fruit and eggs with seaview. I have been travelling a lot and I can Recommend this to anybody who need relaxing atmosphere. This hotel location, hospitality,surroundings and clean rooms make our vacation unforgettable!

It was a wonderful stay at Sapphire, i would recommend it 100%. Warm and welcoming staff, from the owner, sevice staff, housekeeping to security. All of them always try to fullfill the wishes of the guests. The food and the fresh juices were excellent, espacially enjoying them on the terrasse with ocean view and the noise of the waves. The beach in front of the hotel is clean and the sea clearblue.

Upon payment, we were charged a significantly higher exchange rate (USD / LKR) than was valid that day - the hotel did not accept the complaint, only an excuse for the bank (the price difference was refunded only after the complaint with the Booking.com). Our feeling is that the hotel is trying to transfer to the customer the commission that pays to Booking. Breakfast - the biggest disappointment of the whole stay. Breakfast did not match the price (quality both at the hostel with a price of 15USD per night). In all breakfast variants, you usually get toast and eggs (overcooked), but you hardly get butter, but you have to talk about it. If you don't order breakfast includink the stay, you will find many places in the area where you can get a much better and better breakfast for a given price. Plus - you are in Sri Lanka and the hotel doesn't have green tea? The hotel does not comply with any Covid measures - it may suit someone, but we were unpleasantly surprised.

Loved this little hotel. Great location just a short walk or fast tuk tuk ride into Hikkaduwa. The staff here are simply amazing. Rooms very clean. Dining options very good. Extremely well managed and super friendly and efficient team. Janette and your fabulous team you really made my stay in SL so great. Super personal service.

The beach at the hotel was beautiful but the water was too rough to swim in it there. The room itself and our view was very nice. We enjoyed the view and the balcony.

The Staff was pretty much nonexistent and we were the only people in the hotel. The food was just OK. We sat out at the pool for three days one day for six hours and not once did a staff member come over and ask us if we would like anything to eat or drink. However the restaurant was open to the locals and they waited on them the entire time we were out there. The pool area was not very clean and definitely needs some work done. The menu was limited and we had to decide earlier in the day what we wanted for dinner so they could have it ready which was fine. The first night I got shrimp which was very overcooked and very mushy. For breakfast food came out just whenever. We got our eggs before we got our fruit plate and the toast followed with the bacon at the very end. For dinner there was nothing provided with the dinner (like bread) and we asked for them to provide at the second night and they gave us each a cold hamburger bun. But the topper was as we were checking out on Sunday they informed us that their card reader was not working and we did not have enough cash on us to pay a bill for three days at the hotel so we had to go find an ATM that they followed us to so that we could pay them in cash. It was very inconvenient as that was not how we had planned on paying our bill. I do not recommend this hotel until they somehow can get their act together.

Amazing location, clean and boutique style hotel. Incredibly friendly owner and very talented kitchen staff- all meals were very enjoyable.

There were problems with the shower in the room.

Hotel is beautiful, staff extremely nice and helpful and the beach and views are amazing. We tried almost each item from the restaurant menu and liked majority of them.
