The house was a great location for what we came for. I just wish there was a driveway to safely park my vehicle

We have stayed at The Cottage on 14th many times over the last 10 years and it is always a wonderful experience. Ron and Tony are fantastic hosts and so great to work with. The house is clean and comfortable with lots of beautiful personal touches. I love waking up early, making the short walk to the beach to watch the sunrise, and then coming back for coffee on the back porch. The house is convenient to everything Galveston has to offer and one of my favorite places to stay on the island.

We rented the Cottage on 14th for us, and our 2 teens. 17 and 19. Quick weekend getaway before the baby starts his Sr. Year of high school Monday. The proximity to everything was great. We got in early Friday and Ron was quick to answer our call, check in was a breeze. The house had everything we needed! The back yard area was beautiful with well kept vegetation and ample seating and lights. Great place!!! We enjoyed it. If I had one suggestion, add a full length mirror!

We loved everything about staying here. Great location, cute decorations, and so cozy and comfortable. The owners have gone above and beyond to ensure you have everything you need to feel at home during your stay. We would love to stay here again for our next visit.

We enjoyed our stay at the Cottage on 14th Street! It is in the perfect location and was super peaceful. Ron made the check in process super easy, and communication was great! It was perfect for a little weekend get away!

This was a small comfy perfect spot for my crew. Very personable of the house and pets. Very accommodating to little needs such as the supplied coffee, a pair of scissors and flash lights!

We loved this stay! Everything was very cozy, our child loved the upstairs bedroom. Tony and Ron thought of everything a person could need while there. Including lists of pet friendly locations, a beach wagon, and more home comforts. We will definitely stay again.

The cottage on 14th street is amazing. Very cute and cozy. Very Dog friendly. The back yard is all paved with a nice privacy fence. Great location within walking distance of the beach and historical sites. Grab it quick, you won’t be disappointed.

Wonderful! Beautifully decorated and thoughtfully appointed. Our two small pups enjoyed the lovely rear courtyard, and the hosts could not have been more hospitable. Located conveniently in a quiet residential area.

A friend and I were in town for an event and wanted a centrally located spot. The cottage on 14th was perfect. It was 5 minutes from everywhere! The house is very well equipped and furnished in a really cute way. We loved the little back patio and the wonderful hibiscus that were blooming everywhere. Would stay there again in a minute.

My wife and I planed a getaway to Galveston to to relax and enjoy some down time. This location was great for getting around town easy to seawall easy to Strand easy to Ferry. Communications and check in were easy and we had no issues. House was spotless and ready to go, full kitchen, full washer and dryer. If you wanted a short term or long term this would be the place!!

This was a great house in the the East end of Galveston. We were close to the Strand and within walking distance of the seawall. Also we had our pups with us and this house was completely accommodating. We loved the history of the house and hope we get to visit again soon.

It is a cute little house with all the amenities that we needed. It is homey and comfortable. Short walk to the beach. We were very happy with the choice we made for our short getaway!

This is a great property. I loved the original artwork and learning the history of the house. I really enjoyed walking my dog around the neighborhood and seeing all the eclectic houses. People on the island are really nice, too. My doggy met some great four-legged friends as well. I stayed here with my 24-year-old niece, and she really enjoyed the privacy of the upstairs bedroom. For those with dogs - the back “yard” is a small enclosed garden with a small sitting area. I had to walk my dog for all of her potty breaks as there really was no place for her to relieve herself in the “yard.” She is a 40 pound female, so maybe smaller dogs would enjoy this space more.

Ron and Toni are excellent hosts! The kitchen is well supplied for cooking. This is my third time staying here. Every time I find some new, cute interesting little nook of fun and charm.

My family has stayed all over Galveston for past 40 years. This is our favorite most comfortable. most well equipped cottage we have stayed in. Tony and Ron are great host. Look forward to staying here again!

Very easy to find and convenient

This cottage was a great place for my family and pets for our stay in Galveston. Comes with everything you need and has a nice little backyard. I love the location being close to the seawall and lots of restaurants. Owner was low key and easy to get in touch with during check in.

We loved everything about this little cottage! It is compact, but worked perfectly for us. We were walking distance to the Bishop's Palace & probably could have walked to the beach (but didn't)! Ron was absolutely the nicest man and we'll definitely be happy to stay here again!

We absolutely loved our stay at this house. Everything we needed for our dogs was included, even an extra bowl and list of dog friendly places to visit. Beds were very comfortable and we especially loved the sweet little patio area in the back. The listing said there was no wifi, but there is, which was an unexpected happy surprise. Kitchen table was big enough to play family games each night with plenty of space for more people if needed. We will definitely be booking again in the future.

Has everything you could need, loved being able to walk to the beach. Perfect little yard for our dogs that was super easy to keep clean.

Beyond excellence

My husband and I traveled with our 90lb chocolate lab and the cottage was perfect! It was walking distance to the beach (note there are no side walks but it was no problem) so our pup loved that. The space in the cottage is used so well and it felt very comfortable and homey. “Well stocked” is an understatement when describing the kitchen - it has EVERYTHING. My favorites were the two small crockpots that made our little Thanksgiving dinner a snap since the oven wasn’t being used for the Cornish game hens. Having the washer and dryer was also very handy. The location is perfect. Walking distance to the beach as well as some cafes - ShyKatz and Mosquitoes. Others commented on the road noise - but we didn’t think it was bad - at least in November. Ron was super responsive to all our questions and the check in process was easy and smooth. We really appreciated how they welcomed our pup, traveling with a bigger dog can be very restrictive and expensive. The cottage even had a dog water bowl! We hope to be back!

I enjoyed everything except the price change. The date change was in November with multiple exchanges. I felt the price change was a sneak attack at the last minute to put me in a bind so I couldn’t change!! No transparency!! Communication goes a long way. I’m a reasonable person.

It was our second time to stay at this property and we were very pleased. Ron (our host) made us feel very comfortable. The decor is delightful and the kitchen was well equipped. We plan on returning in the near future.
