Awesome host and personnel, a real oasis in the city centre. Nice clean rooms, beautiful chillzone, very quiet and breakfast service was top.

After being disappointed with another hotel in the Tulum, the staff at this hotel were exceptional: Tere was fantastic, Mike was very helpful, everyone was very friendly. Room with very comfortable bed. Beautiful common areas of the hotel. I would stay here again.

Pools a bit dirty and sandy. Pool guy thinks cleaning consists of just putting some Chlorine inside and thats it. Same with cleaning the rooms. Just sweep a bit, make the Bed and put some new towels. No room service at all at our first day. Improvement needed here i guess!

I liked the feel, the room and the private terrace/outside area. I also liked the roof too area and the lounge area. it was nicely done. bed was super comfy too and having a fridge in the room was helpful.

We loved everything about our stay at Grand Balam Plaza! We booked it very spontaneous and didn’t think much about - but we got nicely surprised! Starting from the friendly and easy going host, the delicious breakfast, the room service! The whole accommodation is a magical place with a perfect location!

This place is a total gem, I had a wonderful, luxurious stay here. Mike, the host, was incredibly helpful with everything I needed for a great stay. The room was excellent and very clean. Bed was enormous and incredibly comfy, tasteful furnishings, lovely bedside lamps made from tree trunks. The roof terrace is gorgeous, lots of lovely plants, two rooftop jacuzzis!!! Nice place to watch the sunset and the stars at night. Very clean, well-equipped kitchen. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and plentiful. Honestly, a totally excellent place, highly recommended.

Only one thing - water pressure wasn't great in the shower, so bathing took a while. Lovely hot water though!

I highly recommend Grand Balam Plaza. The location was perfect- easily walkable to all the shopping and restaurants in downtown Tulum. Plus, Tulum Beach was only a short drive (or bike ride away). Parking was easy and free. Our apartment was cozy with everything you would need for a short stay- fridge, plenty of space to hang clothes, and a REALLY COMFORTABLE BED! We also loved the lounges on both the 2nd floor and rooftop. Plus, 2 hot tubs. I mean, need I say more? The whole property felt very secluded... even though it's in the center of the city. Mike provided AWESOME service. He was very responsive, helpful, and gave great off the beaten path recommendations. Again, I highly recommend staying at Grand Balam Plaza.

Cleanness they get a 10 plus, also in courtesy, very helpful staff. Yes the place is peaceful once inside.

The bathroom was uneven, maybe a feet o more from the ground, very uncomfortable to step in/out, besides due to the bathroom door because open less than a half because it's a giant mirror in the way so you get in a very awkward position to get in and out. The see-through curtains were shred due, looks like a very old curtain No parking, no receptionist. I don't like making arrangements by phone, first I'm on vacation and therefore I'm not paying attention to my phone, I like to get to my hotel and walk in and I expect a person in the lobby to help me, this kind of service is not from a hotel business, for airbnb the place is perfect. When I book a hotel I don't like to be outside the building and wonder how soon the person in charge will be answering my text and how soon we are going to be in our room, very uncomfortable. I get a little bit worried when he suggests that I should park right in front of the building so my car will be covered by the security cameras specially when is not a designated spot for that purpose since is the parking is on the public street.

I had a quite room. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom good.

Bad work area. Room needs comfortable chairs and tables to work at. Not great for digital nomads. I tried the breakfast once and that was it. I went out for breakfast after that. Jacuzzis were full of bugs. I wouldn’t go in them. If you are up early you won’t see anyone. You enter the place with a pass code. If you need anything, you need to use WhatsApp. There is no sign on the building, so good luck finding it the first time. Neighborhood is close to restaurants, etc but the street is dumpy and run down. Wifi is dodgy. For the money, you could do better.

The bed was comfy, breakfast was amazing. Mike is a great resource and can help with any questions. Great location, parking in front of hotel.

Difficult to explain how beautiful this hotel is. Once you step inside, you get in an whole other spa oasis. The rooms are so beautiful, full of light, clean, ... Can’t be positive enough about this hotel. If you are in Tulum, pleasr book this one! Mike is great host, is really friendly, so personal with his guests, and gives you lots and lots of inside information about Tulum. We even has 2 jacuzzis (one hot and one cold). Has an outdoor shower, and you can book a massage. He has a really nice relaxing are.

Breakfast could have been bigger (more choice maybe?). There is no bread, only french bread which comes out of the oven. And donutes and cakes. You can ask for an egg, but if there are a few guests before you, you have to wait for a while.
